- Fixed an issue where incorrect values were applied to the process where attack speed affects casting time.
- Fixed a bug where the client would freeze when clicking on the hidden treasure chest key.
- Fixed an issue where the Fire Doll and Ice Doll skill origin stone +1 item was not being enhanced.

- During the maintenance period, game access and gameplay will be unavailable.
- Please note that the maintenance may end early or be extended depending on the situation.In case the date or details of the maintenance change, we will post a follow-up announcement.
- Please make sure to completely exit the game to safely save your data prior to the maintenance.
- We will make an announcement on the details of the maintenance after the maintenance is complete.

At the heart of "Mindlock – The Apartment" is a story designed to captivate and surprise the player repeatedly. Other games, like "Return of the Obra Dinn", focus their storytelling on gameplay mechanics. In contrast, "Mindlock" prioritizes a compellingly narrated story to bring out the profound and humorous aspects of the game world, with unexpected twists and multifaceted characters in the best possible way.



Throughout the development process, which you can follow in more detail on Instagram, it was important to me to provide players with a maximum variety despite a minimalist adventure control scheme, which mainly consists of walking, examining, and interacting. Players explore not only the present but also Colin's world of thoughts and the memories he gradually rediscovers. These narrative variations differ both in graphic style and gameplay.

Especially with the thought processes, it was possible to consistently make Colin's perspective understandable and to make the planning of strategies an experiential aspect. They offer exciting, engaging mini-games that enrich the gameplay. For example, crossing a river requires Colin to meticulously plan each step and choose the best route across the stones to safely reach the other side, or transforming a piece of soap into another object.



Stylistically, the different narrative levels also vary: The present is dark and detailed, as described last month, while memories are sketched and presented in a bright, cloudy tone, fading over time. Colin's thought processes, on the other hand, are graphically abstract and simple, consisting of lines and stick figures.

As a solo developer, it was also attractive for time reasons to intentionally design some scenes simply to tell a comprehensive story and offer extensive gameplay. By the way, you can already add the game to your Steam Wishlist!

We have opened up the Fantasy World (Phase 1), allowing everyone to customize their floating islands in the game, including monsters, decorations, terrains, etc. on the islands. Each player can build their floating island and invite adventurers to explore, kill monsters, and level up. After activating the floating island, you can find your island on the world map or download islands shared by others from the Steam Workshop.
Updates and Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed an issue where the enemy adventurer's avatar sometimes disappeared in the lighthouse.
2. Resolved a problem where monster spawns points occasionally disappeared after loading a save.
3. Added voiceovers to the game's tutorial for beginners.
4. Fixed a bug where frequent saving in the Flying Manta map sometimes prevented adventurers from disembarking the airship.
5. Corrected an issue where some buttons became unresponsive when the game was paused.
6. Resolved a bug that allowed buildings to be placed in the lake on the immortal sect map.
7. Fixed a crash bug related to loading saves.
8. Fixed an issue where some achievements could not be completed.
9. The building accessory will be returned to the backpack after upgrading.

The Fantasy World is currently planned in three phases. Phase 1 focuses on floating island customization. Phase 2 will introduce adventurer customization, and Phase 3 will cover bloodline, item, and skill customization.
We are working hard to complete the development of these features as soon as possible.

Community Announcements - Auxiar Molkhun
Steam giving me big warning that this might make the game visible through feeds, but at this point I don't think I care. It's got to get out at some point.

Just testing to see if this even goes through at all, don't mind me. Anyways, there is an actual update though:


Additions:
  • You can now close a menu by hitting the key that was used to open it. Ex: Use Del to open the admin panel, use Del to close it again.
  • Esc will now close all on-screen menus at once. Ex: You're in both the pause menu and the settings menu. By simply hitting Esc again, both with close.
  • While inside a menu, you can now click anywhere outside of the menu to close it (except where the chatbox usually is, that's a bug I'll need to figure out).


Changes:
  • Clicking on the Chatbox will prevent it from fading until you click away from it, so that you can scroll back through chat to your heart's content. Will probably fade if you get a new message though, and will probably autoscroll back to the bottom when a new message comes through, but hey I tried.
  • The length of time that the Chatbox is visible for is now determined by the length of the message received. This means that longer messages keep the Chatbox visible for longer, actually giving you time to read the message.
  • Quickly hitting Enter twice to pull up the chat will now cause it to only be on-screen for half the time of the shortest possible message fade time (it'll only be on-screen for 4s while the shortest possible time it can be on-screen for receiving a message is 7s).
  • The Background Blur that was Present on all of the Menu's has been removed.
  • To replace the Background Blur, the Pause menu is now "borderless" and the transparent black background it sat on before now stretches to fill the screen. Clicking outside of the buttons and NetID in the pause menu will close the menu, so the border is still there it's just invisible. Pls leave feedback about it.
  • Same goes for Settings Menu ^


Fixes:
  • Pressing Tab while in-game no longer focuses the Chatbox (or anything else for that matter). Pressing it caused you to be stuck until you clicked off of it or "unfocused" the chatbox somehow, but now it doesn't happen at all! Thanks Tat for the Report.
