The English text language option for Raison d'être is now available as of 3/7/2024!


Selecting your preferred language is not done through the game itself, but through Steam's language settings. To set the game to display English:
1.Go to "Account details" on your Steam account
2.Select "Language Preferences"
3.Select "English" and save your preference

If you've previously downloaded the game, to play it in English, you'll need to change its language setting from your Steam Library. To manually set the game to display English:

Open the Raison d'etre page inside of your Steam Library.
Press the gear icon on the right side of the page and then click "Properties". A new window should open.
Inside the Properties window, click on "General." Then, in the "Language" section, select "English" from the pull-down menu. Close the window to automatically apply the new language setting.

Once you've set the game to English, Steam will automatically download the relevant files if you don't have them already installed. After that, you can launch the game as normal and enjoy it in a new language!
