■ In-Game Bug Fixes & Gameplay Improvements 1. Fixed an issue where gathering items overlapped with portals during the progress of a specific Mystery quest. 2. Fixed an issue where the experience gained when using a Magical Soul Orb that’s level 2 or higher as upgrade material would display gaining the base experience. 3. Fixed an issue where the effects of two or more movement speed-related effects were not applied correctly. 4. Improved Repeat Achievements to display the Source of items. 5. Fixed various in-game typos.
The Early Access version of the game is ready for primetime! Right now I'm just waiting for approval before launch. Over the next few days I'll be sending keys out to the kickstarter backers, just be aware that the game is not available for download just yet.
One thing I am eager to get is feedback from players regarding combat balance. The game is currently what I would describe as excruciatingly hard on the intended settings, which I like but only if combat is fair. Nobody likes unfair difficulty.
Unfortunately I had to delay the second combat area and boss because I may have to adjust a few things, but I think I'll be able to add them back pretty soon.

Development of The Baleful Tower is continuing at a steady pace, and I am excited to share the latest update with you all.
Let me introduce the Necromancer class, which is unlocked by killing Zombies in the tower. Similar to the Mage, this is a more ranged oriented class with a focus on three powerful abilities. The first is the Life Drain, a melee attack that heals the user for every enemy hit. There is also the Terrifying Leer, a ranged attack that damages and Panics every enemy it passes through, making them run away from players in their abject fear. The centerpiece of the Necromancer’s toolkit is the ability to summon Skeletal Warriors to fight by their side. The Necromancer can summon up to seven of these fearsome fighters to dispatch the various foes that reside in The Baleful Tower. The Necromancer’s Essence is the Necrotic Leech, which has a small chance to heal the player every time they kill an enemy. Like all Essences, its potency can be increased and it can be mixed and matched with those of other classes by defeating the Zombies that spawn on the floors where previous adventurers have fallen.
Also new to this update is the Electric Biome, starting at floor 61. This biome contains various electric coils that shoot lightning bolts that will both damage and stun players, if they are not careful. There are also several powerful enemies within this biome, of course. At the end of it, Players can expect to face the Stormhawk, a lightning charged bird of prey whose attacks cover the field of battle, forcing players to be nimble and avoid an onslaught coming from all sides. Only when the Stormhawk gets tired and needs to recharge on the various perches on its floor can the player hope to damage it, by destroying the perch on which it is currently sitting.
There are also fifteen new enemies in this update. My goal with these was to increase the variety of the types of enemies you will encounter. For starters, each biome now has three exclusive enemy types, instead of two. There are also a couple new enemies that attack by emitting a sort of particle beam, be it an icy breath, poison gas or some other material. There are also regular enemies that have circular area of effect attacks centered on their location, similar to the Paladin’s Blinding Flash ability. But most importantly, there are now enemies that will buff certain stats of their nearby allies. Each biome has one of these three enemies, the Hastener, which increases speed, the Swordbringer, which increases attack, and the Shieldbearer, which increases defense.
In addition to these updates, I’ve also worked on various minor changes in hopes of correcting balance and improving stability. I’m very proud of the work I’ve done for this update and think it improves the game considerably. I really hope that you all like it. Below is the full list of changes.

Continue the Main Quest - Kuhno is missing and you must strike a bargain with a new and mysterious ally if you want to have any chance of getting her back. Two New Character Story Events - Much more of these types of scenes to come in the future. Learn more about the terrible weight that Corsoni has been carrying since before you met her. Witness Zatanka lose control at the worst possible time.
New Erotic Scenes
Vynore Gloryhole Scene - Check out the Bar on Island 1 after you've met Vynore a bit. She might be waiting in hiding to have some fun with you. Island 1 Tengot's Special Interview - The naughty corpo agent wants to ask you some questions. If you play your cards right, she will invite you into a very lewd arrangement. Island 2 Overview
Over 20k words added for the update. 2 new erotics scenes comprising about 20 new 2d images. Fixes for several erotic scenes. Fixes for issue with Adoka knowing who you are without communicating with her.
Random Stuff
Played a little bit with machine translating parts of the game. It seems viable, though it would take al don't time. I think for the most part, I will focus on finishing the game, it's endings and filling up the side quest content. Then I will worry about translations.
The Fancy Pants Adventures: Classic Pack - 2 Left Thumbs
This patch was really focused on improving World 3. It's still to early for full 60fps support, but these enhancements so smooth out the worst bugs, while generally improving the game feel!

-Window scaling - The menu/shell layer and individual Worlds were not properly scaling for some users. If you were previously unable to play the game properly in fullscreen, please do try it now and let us know if it works properly. -Bottles (should??) now save -Challenge fixes

Brad is eager to clear up as many bugs as he can, before going deep on the graphical updates for World 3! There are a LOT of unfinished areas in the game he'd like to spice up while he's busy digging into everything again. (Reminder: this will be all NEW art, as the console versions of the game are owned by OTT/EA)
We have a close eye on the bug reporting thread, as well as the Discord thread. While I hope this patch addressed many issues, we're aware there are several in World 1 and 2 that still need to be addressed.

Hello again, employees! We've heard your many requests for more playable post-game content, and after a lot of brainstorming, we came up with a new unlockable game mode that we think will satisfy that desire!
"Call Trainer" Mode
"Call Trainer" is a new endless score-based game mode that unlocks after you finish the main story mode!
In this training software made for bettering the timing and accuracy of HSH Responders, you will answer a series of random calls and be tasked with correctly answering as many calls as possible before failing. Multiple correct answers in a row will net you combos to increase your score!
But be warned- these calls are timed, and as you progress your alloted time to answer each call will steadily decrease.

New Side Missions
Four new side missions are joining the ARC Slam game mode.
Mission: Reinforce Overwhelmed Troopers
Brave troopers operating in the area may ask for the Vanguard's help. These squads will call for assistance in defending themselves against the Bug menace. Reaching these troopers and keeping them alive against ongoing waves of Arachnids will leave any survivors under your command for the remainder of the mission. Pull them out of the fire!
Mission: Escort Specialist
Specialist troopers with knowledge of the area will call for the Vanguard during our operations. These specialists can lead us to lost caches of equipment and weapons. The Arachnids won't make it easy; they'll throw everything they can against our noble Vanguard. Keep the specialist alive on the way to their destination to recover crates of equipment for use during our operations. Move out and get gear up!
Mission: Rescue Pinned Squad
Even the ever-capable Vanguard cannot reach every Trooper squad in time. Bugs have been spotted closing in on our brave troopers. Pick up these pinned troopers then keep them safe from the Arachnid retaliation to add these troopers to your unit. Make sure no one is left behind, troopers!
Mission: Tear Down Structures
Wasted resources are resources given to the Bugs! Command will authorize deconstructing old field fortifications during this operation, allowing the Vanguard to reclaim the ore and reuse it in our fight against the Bugs. Those bugs won't let us have it easily though, as they will swarm towards these abandoned structures and try to destroy them before they can be reused. Get there fast and tear those fortifications down before the Bugs do!
New World Event
Our first world event troopers will experience can appear in both ARC Slam and AAS game modes.
World Event: Plasma Bombardment
The Bugs don't appreciate our efforts in the field and will fight back at every turn. Plasma Grenadier bugs will launch coordinated fire on sections of the map from outside the area, making those spaces far more dangerous than ever before. Skilled troopers can find success by dodging the rain of plasma fire while completing their objectives. Any slip-up in this heavy bombardment won't end well for our brave troopers, though. On the bounce!
