We're back with another exciting update on Astrometica's progress. This month, we've been hard at work bringing you a galaxy of new features and improvements. Here's a peek at what we've been up to:
1. Modeling Magic:
Since our last demo, we've been polishing up our 3D models. Take a quick look at the progress from the October 2023 demo to now—it's come a long way!
2. Power System:
We've given the power system a major overhaul, introducing a new power capacity mechanic. Keep your base running smoothly by building the right mix of Small, Big, and Advanced base batteries.
3. Quests System:
Embark on exciting new adventures with our new quest system. Complete contracts from the Moxora Company to earn credits, unlock blueprints, and trade for goods.
4. Starting Base:

Bugs fixed: - Bug that allowed the player to buy the weapon holder without having weapons to put on it. - "L" button used to open and close the store, previously it was only possible to open it with the "L", now it is possible to both open and close it. Improvements: - Improved the Skills, Buffs and Passives screen, making it more optimized and improving the design. - Enemies have a larger (HIt Box) to be hit. - Reduced the number of enemies at the beginning of the game to make the start easier. Changes: - Now the RG weapon has a different appearance, in addition to having been changed from shots to be fired, to a beam that deals damage in an area.
Ghost Wolf - 3-star effect: Single dealer attack power increased from 12% to 15%
Huntress - 3-star effect: Attack speed increase effect increased from 1.25x to 1.3x
Demon 3-star effect: Final damage increase from 1.2x to 1.3x

Long Sword - Attack power increased from 33% to 35%
Excalibur - Attack power increased from 80% to 90%
Spear - Final damage increased from 22% to 24%

God of War, Ares - Attack power increased from 125% to 150%, final damage increased from 75% to 90%
Rich Treasure Hunter - Normal enemy gold increased from 25% to 30%, fixed a bug where boss/elite gold was not applied
King of Gods, Zeus - Normal enemy gold increased from 40% to 50%, fixed a bug where boss/elite gold was not applied
Summon discount - Removed"Artifacts are 5% more expensive."
God of Commerce, Hermes - Temperance discount increased from 28% to 30%, first item discount increased from 28% to 30%, maximum interest approximately increased by 20%
Goddess of Revenge, Nemesis - Normal enemy gold increased from 180% to 210%
Infinite Power - 3-star summon payback increased from 20% to 25%
God of the Void, Chaos - 3-star summon payback increased from 25% to 30%
Kratos' Mediator - Reroll cost decreased by 40% to 50%
Kratos' Master - Final damage for 100-cost, 300-cost summons increased from 1.65x to 1.7x
Added Kuga, Death power, +50 max life per level, apply Plague to a nearby enemy on kill, repeat 6 times on divine intervention
Tengri now gives +10 Dodge per point of Speed
Phoenix now applies Inflame
Hadad now applies Charge
Dread Legion and the Familiars +stat bonuses reworked to apply to a single random ally once, with higher scaling (mass bonuses to allies triggered by things like applying Bleed creates a lot of slowdown)
Doubled the natural glory-scaling of summoned allies
Removed physical resists from Jade Soldiers
Reduced weapon size and encumbrance of Zengja to match the grey buckler
We are working on a full-scale story campaign. Mostly, our activities were in creating a special version of the game for our sound designer. But in the meantime, we couldn't miss that several people joined our Steam community recently, and we wanted to say thanks. To mark such an event, we decided to tackle a problem that bugged our demo from the very beginning - the default checkbox. Can you really tell the difference between on and off? Probably yes, but it's not obvious. So, we worked hard day and night, developing and researching, and we came up with THE CHECKBOX. NOW GAZE UPON ITS ETERNAL BEAUTY AND REASONABLY CLEAR DISPLAY, MORTAL!
We also added nice decals on top of all in-game objects windows:

I'm happy to announce that Spelkollektivet is now publishing Outlaw Kingdom!
To give you some background information, Spelkollektivet is a game developer hub in Sweden that combines living and working spaces. I have been residing at Spelkollektivet for almost a year now, and I am thrilled to share that my game, Outlaw Kingdom, has recently been signed to be published by Spelkollektivet! This post will detail what that means for the future of Outlaw Kingdom (tl:dr - Only good things!)

Because of this publishing deal, I have been able to hire an Artist to work on the game full-time! Together, we have decided on a new art style for the game, which we will share in our next news post! So stay tuned for that 👀

During the last year, I have received plenty of feedback regarding the game, whether from people who played the demo here on Steam or observations that I made while watching people play at events like Copenhagen Games Week. All of the feedback and observations have led to a complete overhaul of the game, including new mechanics, art styles, and characters, which are currently being worked on as you read this news update.
More fantasy species.
Above is a sneak peek of new species being added to the game. We are expanding our world to include Ogres, Elves, and Dwarfs (among other species) to create a more fantasy feel.✨ As mentioned previously in this news update, the next few posts will dive into detail about the new direction of Outlaw Kingdom.
