We are one day away from the launch of our second major update for Guild Wars 2®: Secrets of the Obscure™—"The Realm of Dreams"! Over the last week, we've shared some previews of what's coming in tomorrow's update on our social channels, and we thought it would be good to round them up here on the blog.
With "The Realm of Dreams," we're introducing a new set of legendary armor—for all three armor types—that doesn't require heavy investment into raids or competitive experiences. In the final update to Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure later this year, you'll be able to upgrade this armor and unlock extra effects. Take a peek at these stunning armor sets:
It's time once again to update our Wizard's Vault with refreshed rewards. Remember that cosmetic items you may have missed are now in the Legacy Rewards tab and don't expire! Check out the new Solar Astrolabe weapon skins, Skysage's armor skins (gloves, helm, and boots), Leaf Glider, and incredible Cat Tree Chair!
In "The Realm of Dreams," there will be two new legendary Convergences bosses waiting to challenge you. Are you ready for the Hell Sister and the Dreadwing?
Tomorrow, each profession will have access to a new weapon, allowing you to employ brand-new skills and playstyles against the threats to Tyria. See them all in action:
From February 27 at 9 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-8) to March 3 at 11:59 p.m. (UTC-8), you'll be able to earn a Convenience Set by watching any Twitch channel broadcasting Guild Wars 2 for 4 hours. The Convenience Set includes 5 Trading Post Expresses, 5 Merchant Expresses, 5 Bank Access Expresses, and a Mistlock Sanctuary Passkey (2 weeks).
We can't wait until you get to play "The Realm of Dreams" tomorrow. Just one more sleep!
Hi everyone! I got an update that I'm feeling pretty pleased about and I'm sure you'll enjoy!
I've changed how the zombie AI override system works. Previously users could place a beacon that zombies were attracted to. This worked but was a little cumbersome to manage so I've improved it.
Now users can click and drag on the override screen to set a direction that zombies will automatically follow when they do not have a target to eat nearby. Using this it's much easier to do things such as having all zombies converge on a single building like the police station to override a last stand.
As for zombies currently in buildings, at the moment overriding in any direction will trigger them to try and leave the building as this is the best option to try and prevent them from getting stuck.
I think this is the beginning of adding better manual controls that enable people to have fun changing simulations and is a better direction for the game.
Let me know what you peeps think and what else you want upgraded next!
Who wants prizes? Today we're thrilled to announce a new Guild Wars 2® sweepstakes. We're giving away five grand-prize keyboard packages from HyperX!
Enter via the widget below, or visit the Gleam.io portal to review the rules and participate. But make sure you get your entries in before March 3 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-8).
The current competitive season will end soon, but there is still time to claw your way up the ranks! Adjust your strategy to topple down your enemies one by one, if you reach the top positions of the ladder you will earn one of these exclusive cardbacks to mark your achievement.
What better way to spring into March than with a special leap year competition!
The theme this month is simple - the more frogs, the better! Frame them, play peekaboo, or have all your frogs in a row.
The developers will select the 3 froggin' best screenshots and the lucky winners will each receive a Wildmender wearable blanket!
You have from Monday, February 26th, until Friday, March 15th, to submit a screenshot of your garden through this GLEAM link.
And that’s it! We’ll let you hop onto it.
