Before we prepare for the final journey to the Sigil of the Tree content, we're currently wrapping up the blocked-off sections and hidden content in the areas released so far.
Accordingly, the next update will include many maps and various mid-bosses, along with mini-games and puzzles, even though it is not a new area update.
Please check out the key contents below!
Trial of the Waterfall
As some of you may know, there is a hidden space behind a waterfall somewhere in the Village of the Sun.
Fittingly named 'Trial of the Waterfall,' behind this waterfall lies a challenging puzzle involving 'pushing' mechanics and a hidden boss that you would never have imagined.
Temple of Dance
Somewhere in the eastern jungle is a hidden temple dedicated to the study of the monkey's dance. What could possibly happen in this scary yet exciting place?
Dusky Town and the Tennis Match
The path at the entrance of the Moon Forest Village that many of you have been curious about is set to open.
Taking advantage of the chaos caused by the corrupted Silk Worm Warrior, a bug named 'Blanc' wearing white shorts is ruling over the Dusky Town. What will happen in Dusky Town, where tennis is loved?
Anglerfish Cave and Temple of Cuisine
You'll be able to play the hidden temple and Anglerfish Cave in the latter part of the sea area.
In the temple, you can acquire a new sea area hat, and in the cave, you'll meet a new mid-boss.
Penguin Island
In the southern part of the Snowfield, you'll find an island full of penguins.
Solve the creepy mystery hidden among the adorable penguins!
Tucker's House
On the western path of the Central Forest, there is a secluded cabin. There, you can meet Tucker, who is researching the trash monsters.
Town Portal
Before facing all the bosses, a portal that allows for quick travel to the nearest village will be added.
If the boss battle is tricky, return to the village to heal and buy items that will help in combat before challenging again!
Additional Features for Hats
Various functions are planned to be added to the hats that have not had specific features so far. Stay tuned!
Value Adjustment for Mini-Games and Items
The rewards for mini-games, which were low compared to playtime and difficulty, are set to increase. With the adjustments in the value of in-game content, the values of items will also be revised.
The update is scheduled for the third week of March. We hope many of you will enjoy 'Ogu and the Secret Forest' even more with the preparations we've made.

TWEAK - Option to Limit FPS is now hidden (it is always on) - Graphics Options that can potentially break the physics simulation of the game (cause jittery motion, etc.) are now moved to Advanced panel - The game is now locked to 60 fps by default (can be changed in Advanced Options, but you have to know what you are doing to not cause physics to jitter or break) - Vsync is now off by default to prevent brand new players with high speed monitors and slow graphics cards from experiencing slomo on default settings. If you want to turn on Vsync (to get rid of screen tearing for example), make sure you either turn off "Force FPS" so the game can detect your refresh rate, or set it manually to your monitor's refresh rate
NEW - New music track in Town arena
Your saved graphics settings have been reset, please adjust them again if you feel your PC can handle higher settings. In case of any problems just reset the graphics setting and restart the game.
IMPORTANT: If you experience weird bugs, such as half of special moves not working, pink textures, not clickable menu buttons, crashes, invisible characters, levels not loading, etc. - that means Steam update may have corrupted your local files. Please verify the integrity of the game files to fix it:
1. Load Steam 2. From the Library tab, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu 3. Select the Local files tab and click Verify integrity of game files... 4. Steam will verify the game's files and fix the problems

Welcome back to a new edition of Weekly Apart our, lately, not so weekly dev newsletter (apologies, we were really busy bug fixing and couldn't really share new stuff - until now!). In today's post we'll give you an update on how we were able to give the colonists, or prospectors as we like to call them, a healthy dose of much needed personality.
But before we dive into the intricacies of moustache design, we want to plug our social media channels, especially our Discord, where we have begun to live stream our weekly dev meetings (Witchcraft Wednesdays), and YouTube where you can recap said streams in full or check out clips of the hilarity that ensues when we get sidetracked and talk about TMNT or the Upside Down world.
Character Combos
Even though eventually your colony will eventually be inhabited by a few hundred fortune hunters, we decided early on that we don't want them to be generic, faceless avatars but to have individual looks. Because the in-game characters are rather small - especially when contrasted with the huge machinery and factory building - and hard to relate to on that scale, we came up with a solution.
We created a system that randomly generates faces for the avatars by mixing 8 different head shapes, five different skin tones and 20 hairstyles 4 beard options for a total of 3200 unique character combinations (with the addition of various hair colors that number increases further exponentially).
This guy (let's call him Hopper) looks like he traded his job as a barista at a coffee shop in Portland for the much more lucrative (and dangerous) gig of extracting Lucrum on Aurora.
A closer look
To give them even more personality we have dedicated the lower right corner of the screen to a character viewer (or if you prefer a fancier name, the pioneer modal view) that, with a click on each respective colonist on the map, gives you a more detailed profile of their look along with facial expressions that document their emotional state and personal stats detailing sleeping, eating, health and bathroom habits over the last 12 in-game hours.
Leaving your home to colonize a distant planet can be a hair raising experience.
What do you think of our new cast of prospectors and what would be your go-to combination of facial features? Let us know in the comments! In the meantime we'll keep working hard to let you manage your own cast of unique colonists in our very first demo which will launch soon. See you in a few weeks!
