The U.S State of California has a long history when it comes to the conservation efforts of preserving its natural heritage, so much so that it boasts having nine National Parks, more than any other state! In today's blog, we will be focusing on one such National Park you'll have the chance to re-visit as part of our California Rework project for American Truck Simulator.
Nestled within the rugged Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, the Yosemite National Park features awe-inspiring granite peaks, majestic waterfalls, and pristine wilderness. Whilst this is not normally an area where trucks are allowed to travel through, we couldn't go without reworking this area from the ground up to bring it up to our current quality standards.
One stand-out feature you'll be sure to notice is the new models of granite rock which are mainly found here. These new models and assets combined give the Yosemite National Park quite the transformation, don't you think?
You'll be able to drive through CA-120 from Modesto to Lee Vining, which offers drivers some pretty breathtaking views of the natural beauty found across Yosemite National Park. We highly recommend taking a stop at some of the lookout points you'll find in the area including Olmsted point, Lake Vista Point or the Rainbow Pool Day Use Area.
Looking to visit the Yosemite National Park? Previously, this area was not on your GPS map. With a fresh rework, comes a requested change; we are pleased to share that with Phase 3 of the California Rework, you will now be able to find this National Park (like others) on your UI map!
If you're travelling from Modesto, drivers can enter the Yosemite National Park at the Big Oak Flat entrance which features an information station. If you're looking to visit from the direction of Lee Vining, you can enter at the Tioga Pass Entrance, a high-altitude entrance point to Yosemite!
While you may be familiar this area already, we look forward to you re-discovering the Yosemite National Park, along with other parts of California in Phase 3 of our rework in the future. We look forward to sharing more new with you on it's progress here on our blog. Until then, keep on truckin'.
Today we’d love to provide an overview of our game and a recap of what players can expect during their heartwarming journeys in Moominvalley!
Adventure 🏕️
Spring is here, and Snufkin is on his way back to Moominvalley. He’s looking forward to meeting his good friend Moomintroll again — but he notices radically different changes in the valley. Parks have sprung up in various locations, replacing wildflowers with concrete and songbird songs with silence.
Snufkin’s not one to passively let the valley become overrun by gated parks and rules. He decides to wreak havoc upon them by sneakily removing signs, knocking over statues, and in the end, returning nature to its wild beauty.
Inspiring journey 🎵
Exploration is a key element of our open-world storybook game. Snufkin will need to make his way through various parts of the land to find parks and to confront the person behind it all, The Park Keeper.
Snufkin will travel through lush wilderness, climbing up mountain faces and running along sandy beaches. He uses simple actions to traverse and interact with the world, like pushing and pulling boulders out of the way or setting a log up across a gap.
Snufkin will also play his harmonica and other instruments he unlocks as the journey progresses to interact with the world. A few puffs on the harmonica summons worms to emerge from their holes on the cliff face, becoming a convenient ledge for Snufkin to jump onto and off of.
During travels, Snufkin collects a resource called inspiration. It’s necessary to raise inspiration levels in order to unlock certain areas of the world and to increase the strength of Snufkin’s musical abilities. Inspiration is generated by completing quests, dismantling parks, and from running through bushes.
Here’s a few videos we’ve shared before on the gameplay!
Lively and loveable friends from Tove Jansson’s Moomin world are dotted across Moominvalley. Teety-Woo, a shy admirer of Snufkin, is one of the first characters you’ll meet. Among many other characters, Snufkin will also find Ninny, the invisible girl, Moominmama and Moominpapa, and the unconfident Ghost.
There are various puzzles and sub-quests related to characters Snufkin will encounter along his journey. For instance, he will help the Ghost overcome its doubt and regain its sense of self. From the mischievous Little My to sassy spiders, Snufkin will meet many unique and memorable characters.
Oh, and yes — the misunderstood Groke will also make her icy entrance. Although initially scary, the Groke isn’t malicious and Snufkin will reach a newfound understanding with her during his journey.
Check out some of the character content we’ve shared before!
Our Snufkin game is a charming musical adventure filled with heartwarming encounters and mischief undertaken in the name of restoring nature to its untamed and free-spirited beauty.
Added the new textile vendor, Danny Weaver, who sells a limited stock of caches which refreshes weekly and can only be purchased with textiles.
To locate him, you need to find the Snitch, who will now reveal both Cassie Mendoza and Danny's locations on the map.

It's been a while an you might be wondering what we've been up to! I am here to answer such question. For one, we have a few things brewing in the background and we hope to be able to share them with you very soon but also, we been working hard on the implementation of a new feature. Have you ever looked at someone else's gameplay and thought to yourself: "Damn, I can do this WAY better!"? Or “phew, that looked like a fun situation to be in”?
Let me introduce you to:
In short, it is like making a short video via Instant Replay, but instead of just watching that gameplay bit or sharing it as video - with Ludeo, you can play that exact bit. And the good thing is? You don't need to install anything! (Except for owning Bounty of One of course 🙂)
If you want to know more about who Ludeo is and how their service works in more details, feel free to check the FAQ at the bottom of this announcement.
Ludeo is now available with Bounty of One in the open public beta!
Ludeo has been working with us to integrate Bounty of One with their platform. Our team is now ready to test it with you, and we would appreciate any feedback you can provide!
To gain access to the test branch, follow these steps :
Right click on Bounty of One in your Steam library and select properties
go to the Betas tab
In the Betas and select the “Public BETA” branch in the scroll down button
Run Bounty of One (Ludeo is available only in the Bounty Hunted mode) and, once you start a new run, you will see a popup that will notify you when you can capture your gameplay. Simply press the L key three times consecutively to record the last minute of your game. You just had an epic showdown? A close-call escape? Go ahead and capture that moment!
You can keep playing your run, all of your captured moments are waiting for you in the Ludeo Creator Studio. When you want to start creating your Ludeo, hit edit on the captured moment you want in your highlights on the ludeo website
There, you can trim your Ludeo and assign an objective for others to complete. For example - Collect X coins, Kill X enemies flawlessly, i.e. without taking any damage. You can also set different scoring objectives that players will gain extra points for doing (yeah, there are leaderboards too)
Once you’re happy with your Ludeo settings you're good to go! Publish your Ludeo and share your link. Everyone will be able to replay that exact moment and compete on who will do it with the most points. It’s that easy to create your first Ludeo!
Discord Event! Share your Ludeo for a chance to win a Steam gift card!
To celebrate the first public test of our integration of Ludeo. For the next week, up to the end of February we welcome you to share your Ludeos at the ludeo-share channel on our Discord server
Describe why you think your Ludeo stands out from the rest! It can be a really challenging Ludeo to complete or a Ludeo that will require extra skill to get the most points possible! At the end of the month, the Bounty of One and Ludeo team will pick the top 3 Ludeos and will give $10 Steam Gift cards for the winners!
We also took the opportunity of this announcement to make quick patch. Mainly, we visually improved the map and the FXs’s clarity. You can check out the patch’s content hereafter.
I hope you’ll enjoy playing Ludeo, we will be back in a bit for more news from our side!
Enjoy!

LUDEO FAQ
- What is Ludeo? -
At its heart, Ludeo is a game discovery platform. You want to see and share the best parts of the game? Ludeo can help with that. Basically the goal of Ludeo is this: You love a specific game and had a great moment of gameplay - Ludeo lets you share it on their platform so your friends can enjoy that same awesome moment for themselves - and maybe do what you did but better!
Ludeo is a young startup company. Their sites were built pretty early so the information you'll find online is outdated. They’ve let us know they’re building a new website and cleaning up their old ones so that it better represent what and who they are. Since then they started, they've built some extremely impressive tech, and they’re now ramping up with multiple game integrations in addition to Bounty of One.
Bounty of One is one of the very first games on the platform. Eventually, the goal is for thousands of games to be Ludeo enabled so that players can share and play tons of games they might not have otherwise seen. But again - they’re still in their very early stages.
- Do I have to download Ludeo to play Bounty of One? -
Ludeo isn't a downloadable feature, it's not stored locally on your computer. While signing in with Steam is required to create Ludeos, if you only want to play Bounty of One Ludeos then there is no sign in required. Ludeo is there for you if you want to use it but it is completely optional, that's why it is limited to the beta branch. If you don't want it, you can just play the game as you usually would - it's up to you!
- What information is Ludeo collecting? -
In order to enable Ludeo for Bounty of One players, Ludeo processes ONLY data which is within the Bounty of One game - that is to say, the data points that dictate your current damage, your attack speed, the object or upgrade choices you made, whether or not you dash... With those gameplay data points recorded, Ludeo is then able to send that data to people who want to play the Ludeo experience that you created.
Ludeo does not process nor collect any personal information of Bounty of One users. They do not have access nor the ability to get any data which is not in the Bounty of One game instance. The only information they will get from you is your username if you login onto their website with your steam account.
- Gameplay recording - how is it done? -
Ludeo records the gameplay inputs (attack damage, upgrade choices, dashes, etc.), and then the game client on the user side reads those game inputs and then creates a video, essentially recreating the gameplay you just played but in video form. That way they’re not storing huge video files on their side either.
It’s not a perfect analogy, but think of it like you’re a chef cooking a killer meal. If you want someone else to cook the same meal, do you send them a video of you chopping vegatables? No, that would be pretty inefficient and more than a little weird. You send them the recipe! Ludeo strips data points about your gameplay down to make a recipe for another player’s game client to rebuild.
And just to say it all out loud so we’re all clear: Ludeo only records your gameplay session. Ludeo doesn't record other tabs (or anything other than the gameplay for that matter) and is completely inactive if Bounty of One/the Ludeo enabled game is closed and if you’re on the game’s main branch and not the public beta branch. Also, for the record - Ludeo is not recording images or videos like a screengrab - as discussed above, they’re recording the gameplay inputs, etc.
- Is this an esports thing? -
No, not really - though theoretically Ludeo could be used to train in specific parts of a game? But to that end it’s probably more useful for speedrunning than esports.
- Is this an AI thing? -
No, not really - I mean technically later there could be some gameplay AI used (think MP bots), but not AI like a “hey make me a video of Will Smith eating too much spaghetti.”
- Add code to prevent crashes when game cannot connect to Discord RPC - Improve save compatibility between updates
Integrates v1.0.10 fixes we reverted: - Fix spoilery, end of game content - Chapter Select debug tool now permits player to see ending-exclusive content - Fix OpenGL Related shader crashes
If you have any new problems with this update, please complain loudly on the steam forums or our email.
- The Select Car button on the main page has been rectified. - Booster functionality has been fine-tuned, including adjustments to acceleration on booster pads and rocket speed. - Modifications have been implemented in the Miniatures location within the "Sands of Mars" area. - Additional objects have been added to the editor.
This update provided an answer to the age-old question: why is Silver Screen named that way? Get those motors spinning and explore a massively upgraded Silver Screen level, making the biggest Liftoff: Micro Drones environment even bigger. Don't forget to grab some popcorn for the ride!
Changelist:
Updated the Silver Screen level
Added 2 more races to Silver Screen.
Updated values for the TinyHawk III blueprint.
but... but I want more!
We hear you! Why settle for just one level when you could have two? We are excited to say our upcoming Liftoff: Micro Drones level is currently in production and is already starting to look really cool.
With Silver Screen out of the way we are happy to share a small hint, the new level will be named: メロンパン公園
Will The Man Get Frog has been out for a few days now, and I can already thank you all for your warm welcome! I hope you find enjoyment in this weird little game. Thank you for the nice reviews, and thank you for all the beautiful or silly haikus you posted here! Please keep on doing that, it's awesome! And also, a big shoutout to c.diffin for making the awesome soundtrack of the game! Cheers mate, you nailed it!
Now, I just wanted to let you know that it's not exactly over yet.
Firstly because from time to time, I intend to host haiku workshops here on Steam. It's really simple: I post an example haiku with a password, and then you use it in shared game mode to write a haiku with the same word set as me, and post it in the hub! The first event should be very soon, keep your eyes peeled!
Secondly because, although I'm limited by the teeny-tiny engine I'm using (pico-8, the cutest engine ever made), I'm trying to figure out ways to squeeze more stuff into the game. So you can reasonably expect a small update in the coming weeks/months. Nothing too fancy, just a bit more content, and probably a few quality-of-life improvements. More on that story as it develops.
That's it. Thanks again for this excellent launch and warm welcome, and please continue sharing haikus and spreading the love!
