Firstly, I wanted to point out that I noticed there was something that went wrong with the current build of the game not containing the correct game version for the transition to V1.0.0. I worked tirelessly overnight to get this fixed as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused you.
With that said, the current build should be correct and the new features should be available with it.
What's new?
Chapter 3 Is now Available! As the story closes in, we are starting to suspect that some things are quite off about Bwonsombdi... or is the Darkness just getting to our head?
A brand new Cat skin the "Spectral Cat" is available at the Cat Wardrobe under "Fur Types". I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful skin!
The progression system has seen some updates due to its new overhaul and should feel more rewarding with XP and Astral Shards specifically earned from completing story quests.
The long Christmas holiday update has come to a close, I hope you got your hats and enjoyed the season!
More bugs were fixed to further improve the player experience.
Thank you everyone who has played On Dark Terms. I truly hope that you were able to experience something unique and enjoy the time you spent with it.
I'm Len, the Creative Director behind Pixel Noir, and today is the day we finally put this full game out for everyone to enjoy! It's been a long road to get here, and I want to thank those who have supported our dream of a noir JRPG all these years!
Thank you, thank you, and thank you!
For this release, we concentrated on two things: that the game was as polished as possible and that we could do it justice in the marketing campaigns.
This project was always a labor of love and high ambitions as we at SWDTech persevered through many hard years of development. For those who missed the discounted Kickstarter or Early Access price, the game is 20% off on Steam for its first week!
Before we get into our patch notes, I want to emphasize that you should start the game with a fresh save. As I clarified in another thread on the subject, over the years, we made changes to give you features like New Game+ and highlighting dialogue choices from a previous playthrough to the New Game+. Your old save from Early Access may not work. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the polished content in those first few chapters!
Much has changed over the years from Early Access and today's full release, so I'm not going to provide a complete list of technical back and front end-wise, but I will give you a highlighted list of features we've either fixed or added.
- First, most of the bugs highlighted by our community have been fixed, including any freezes or soft locks posted in the community section. We even improved stability on Steam Deck and made the load times WAY shorter than during the Early Access days.
- In Early Access, you had about half the game to playthrough, whereas now you have the full game AND the before-mentioned New Game +. There are multiple ways the story can go and end, making New Game + a fun way to go through the choices you didn't make in your first play-through. We even highlight your choices from your previous play-through, giving you a newer experience in your second go-around!
- We added more items, gear, and skills of course!
- Skill points are a rare commodity in the game as you only get them for completing cases. You can spend your skill points to upgrade skills and grant skills new strengths and bonuses. There is a set number of skill points in the game, so I advise spending your skill points wisely.
- Entourage member's 2-way and 3-way combos have been fully fleshed out and are now the most powerful attacks in the game.
- The CRDTech mini-game has been fully fleshed out! Many cards have unique abilities to help you take down your Pinnacle City rivals. You can even bet a set amount of cash on some of the matches you play!
- Lots of sidequests have been added.Where can you find them? Well, some clients will call the detective randomly later in the game when he visits his apartment. And others you'll either bump into or have to hunt for yourself. There's a variety of them and some were even drafted by our Kickstarter backers!
- More Black Markets - a one-time stop for rare or powerful gear. Once you buy from them, they'll take off like the wind, so you better have your cash stashed before making a deal with these shady fellas.
- More Traders - NPCs that will trade you an item for another item if you have it.
- More Grifters - NPCs that will sell you a great piece of gear if the price is right.
- Shovel Knight Arena - a place you can access later in the game that pits you against the toughest mofos you can find for some sweet prizes.
- Bounty Hunts - At the Bail Bonds office, you'll meet a Max Cherry-like character willing to pay you to hunt down some bounties for good pay and skill points.
- Summons - Shade has facets she can call upon in battle. You'll usually get these abilities through the natural course of the game while they are in your party. There are some super rare ones out there if you can find them.
- Timed hits and blocks have been retooled to make them more accurate and have more of a payoff. Instead of a 1.5 for a successful timed hit, the character will attack again for around the same damage.
- Super secret Easter egg stuff has been added... That's all I'll say about that.
That does it for this announcement. Enjoy the full game everyone!
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R - Will

Scheduled date of update data Ver.2.3.3 distribution Friday, February 9, 2024, 10:00 JST
Common
Taunt ● Fixed issue allowing Stylish Guard and Throw Escape inputs to be buffered during Taunt. ● Disallowed Stylish Guard and Guard during Taunt. - This was unintended and has been fixed. Assault Assists ● Fixed the Assist character’s attack vector being off if the player uses Dodge while the Assault Assist is executing. - This was unintended and has been fixed. Arena Gimmicks ● Fixed issue causing sound effects to stop playing. - This was unintended and has been fixed.
DIO
"I'll give you one chance." Skill ● Fixed issue causing Time Stop effect not to end if this skill was interrupted under certain conditions. - This was unintended and has been fixed.
Mariah
Normal throw ● Fixed issue causing the Magnetization Gauge to stop changing based on distance between Mariah and the opponent after hitting with a normal throw, until hitting with “If you're not allowed to touch something, it makes you want to touch it more...” or “You little turds!” - This was unintended and has been fixed.
Yuya Fungami
Health regeneration rate ● Fixed White Damage regeneration rate being slower than other characters. - This was unintended and has been fixed. (Applies common rules that other characters follow.) “I got you!” skill ● Increased rate of Health drain from the activation of “Drain Nutrients” as a result of this skill hitting. - This change aims to emphasize the character's unique trait more. “Attack by following their scent!” skill ● Increased rate of Health drain from the activation of “Drain Nutrients” as a result of this skill hitting. - This change aims to emphasize the character's unique trait more. ● Stopped Highway Go Go from returning to Yuya’s position after the tackle hit. Instead, the footsteps will begin attacking from the spot where the tackle hit. - This was unintended and has been fixed.
Guido Mista
Assault Assists ● Increased the spacing between Guido Mista’s shots, preventing the Assault Assist from causing a chain guard. - Mitigates the Assist being stronger than other Assault Assists due to two factors: - Using along with an unblockable attack or a skill that causes Guardbreak makes it easy to guarantee damage. - The Reversal Assist has 2 uses. This change allows for using Dodge or Stylish Guard while guarding against Mista’s Assault Assist, escaping from an otherwise unavoidable combo. The hits still combo with each other, so the skill still has utility in, for example, a ground combo or approaching the opponent while Mista is firing. “Gonna light you up!” skill ● Reduced knockback on hit. - Improved the reliability of comboing when the attack is fired repeatedly.
Narancia Ghirga
Crouching medium normal attack ● Increased damage. (Fixes damage being halved.) - This was unintended and has been fixed.
Jolyne Cujoh
"Your body's best angle to punch." Skill ● Fixed issue where the HHA would not activate if canceled out of this skill’s recovery (only if via the Weak Attack + Medium Attack buttons). - This was unintended and has been fixed.
F.F.
"I'll get Weather Forecast to make it rain." HHA ● Shortened the delay until the beginning of the attack after the opponent guards an HHA-enhanced “F.F. Shot” skill. Shortened the time until the opponent recovers from their guard. - Fixed the ability to set up an unavoidable combo with certain attacks.
Wonder of U (Toru)
"Obla dee, Obla da" Style ● Fixed issue causing the actual opponent to be hit multiple times by “Obla dee, Obla da” when the opponent’s assist was hit by “Obla dee, Obla da.” ● Fixed issue causing the actual opponent to be hit multiple times by “Obla dee, Obla da” when the opponent’s (as Wonder of U (Toru)) “You... attacked me? How...” skill was hit by “Obla dee, Obla da.” - This was unintended and has been fixed.
Jobi and I are hard at work on creating the next chapter of Starlight Scouts. We are actively working on Episode 1, as well as Multiplayer! We are working on getting a good timeline out, but Multiplayer comes with some uncertainties, and we don't want to promise a solid date just yet.
If you want to find out more about the game, JADC, or even just show your support, check out these links!:
Work has continued on the game. Funny how I thought I'd be done working on it once it was finally out. Oh well.
Razeacc has provided three additional tracks.two for Chance fight, one for ending
Added additional keyboard support! - If you cannot press all buttons, there is now an additional setting that adds a delay to button releases, making it possible to play the full game with any standard keyboard.
Lock timer and fight timer adjusted, harder first attempt, easier following attempts
Made typing easier by supporting two ways of writing E and 3
Let us get to the gritty gritty. Some Animation updates have been pushed, small but big features. As in, Looks like your holding and putting the gun away. When you put the gun away you can hit number 3 to bring up the Axe. Yes tree chopping is in the pipeline and is close to done. When you go into the shops a menu should be popping up showing shops are there and working somewhat.
I was experiencing a crash when i hit buy so let me know if you notice that as well. Not only that I did fix some backend stutters and all that. Saves should be working but I am not holding my breath atm and don't want to jump for joy until i get feedback that it is working.
Also Day and Nights should play out. Better art as well as in more easy to see what things are. Some games don't put outlines so everything kinda blurs. Animals should also behave a little better.
Oh oh oh and I didnt want to keep it secret anymore. Base raids! yes I am close to making you buy houses and ill use Deeds to hold them instead of Keys like other games. These enemies will be random and some goofy as well. Not only attacking your farm but your house will get damaged as well if you don't defend it.
Sorta all right now as I am steady getting the story finished up and if saves work awesome then we are in the last stretch for mechanics in the game.
Again I apologize if it has not turned out faster than you all wanted. One man with also a full time job and I also compete in bodybuilding some of you know that from the beginning. That being said some time until another major update and I will be Squashing bugs along the way and push fixes when I can.
Updated Ikun producer list Further optimized performance Preliminarily resolved unexpected judgments Fixed several issues that could cause the game to crash Reduces the probability of abnormal recurrence
