Since mid 2023 RVD hasn't worked on cutting edge versions of Windows 11. This is due to Microsoft changing the API the software relies on too frequently. This combined with low sales numbers means that in order to keep RVD working properly on newer versions of Windows our best chance will be to take RVD open source.
Be on the lookout for RVD appearing for free on GitHub soon.
For now please uninstall the Steam version of RVD if you are on a modern version of Windows then follow these steps: 1. Open file explorer. 2. On the left side under This PC find your desktop and right click it. 3. Go to Properties -> Location -> Restore Default. 4. When done you can browse through RVD desktops located in %USERPROFILE%\RVD\desktops and get any files you need.
We've worked diligently in making Heavy Metal Titans run smoothly in Linux. We haven't been able to test outside of a normal Linux PC device; however, we think it may work well on the Steam Deck. We invite anyone whom owns the device and our game to try it out and let us know if it works well. This version have full controller support to include menus and exit functionality. Enjoy!
