After a long unfortunate delay the first new biome is in along with a bunch of new enemies and bosses to go along with it. Plus a bunch of smaller changes and bugfixes. The next patch will come much sooner and will likely involve 1 new weapon, some new events, new level mods and probably some new items.
Changes
The first of the new biomes has been added ! The Undergrowth
Along with the new biome there is a new group of enemies and bosses to face !
Betty grenade firing distance is now more accurately based on your cursor placement
All explosives now deal self damage (10% of weapon damage), primarily to balance Betty and other explosives dealing very high dps
Prisma no longer uses individual dash charges but instead has their dash slowely drained while dash is active, press dash again after dashing to cancel
Elite enemies now have their default attack enhanced in unique ways
The Fireflies item now leads you towards treasures/events instead of the floor exit (when there is no more it leads to the exit)
Quill damage reduced by ~20%
Events not longer spawn based on time spent in a level and are now preplaced when entering a level (event system will be reworked once more are added).
Optimised damage number display to improve performance in late game
Reworked exp bar to be more visible (if players want a exp bar along the top of the screen like other games let me know)
Friendly fire now has a visual effect
Critical hits now show in large orange text to stand out from normal hits
Added some extra FX for special items to stand out from normal items on level up screen
If your damage is fully blocked by an enemy shield or other effect the damage number popup will show 0 and a shield
While reloading your cursor changes to a reload animation
When fighting multiple bosses at once, bosses chosen are randomly picked from the areas boss list
Quadrigneous now moves a little more aggressively
The exit arrow indicator will now take priority over other arrows when the exit is open
Bug Fixes
Fixed a crash related to an incorrect item spawning from a large chest
Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the grace item to not give a damage shield
Fixed a bug that could cause shop items to show up as blank
Fixed a bug that could cause a crash when purchasing a key in the shop
Fixed a bug where Quadrigneous could lose control of a leg
Fixed a bug that allowed prisma to freely move after dashing and using brrrap
Fixed a bug that caused laser weapons to sometimes not display if hitting a breakable object
Fixed a bug that would cause the brrrap ability to be cut short if you leveled up while using it
Fixed a bug relating to excavurm sound distortion
Fixed a bug that could cause an elites slowing aura to be disabled when offscreen for too long
Fixed a bug that allowed deflected projectiles to pierce more than they should

In today's update - just imported to the main branch from the experimental branch - we’ve got one extra badwater-related tweak, as well as a few smaller changes we wanted to push out.
Balance
Decontamination Pod now cures beavers twice as fast.
Misc.
For debugging purposes, save files now store the information about the map’s name and type (whether it’s official or custom).
Bug fixes
Fixed a bug with the main menu’s bottom breaking on the UI set to the maximum scale.
Fixed a bug with the game autosaving while the Load game menu was opened, and then crashing when the player attempted to load the oldest, just-replaced autosave.
Fixed a bug that made it impossible to have a temperate weather season of maximum duration.
Fixed a bug with slightly incorrect irrigation ranges.
Fixed a bug caused by scrolling through the toolbar while a building with an open dropdown list was selected. The building would become unselected but the dropdown list would hover in the void and crash the game when clicked, probably out of embarrassment.

Join Mentari and friends as she navigates the difficulties of life as a high school student, coming from a background that may be all too familiar for some of our players.
The story in “The Sun Shines Over Us” is set in a private high school in Jakarta and focuses on Mentari as the main character with PTSD from her previous school bullying trauma. In her new school, she meets other unique teen characters with their own personal problems and neuroses. All the characters have different responses and understandings about Mentari and each other’s conditions. There are other mental challenges that are brought up in “The Sun Shines Over Us” including ADHD, eating disorders, the impact of a broken home, and much more.
Through the gameplay of “The Sun Shines Over Us”, players will be faced with multiple dialogues and actions that will affect the story directly. Every choice that is made will change scenes and interactions between characters. Each choice will also affect Mentari’s progress in her recovery and her relationship with other characters.
There are 13 characters with their own unique, personalized stories that can all be explored through various dialogue and action choices. With more than 100,000 words and six different endings, every choice in “The Sun Shines Over Us” matters and can give a different experience in every gameplay if the player chooses to opt for different options.
To complement the emotional story, “The Sun Shines Over Us” has interesting visuals with more than 40 event CG, 25 different beautiful backgrounds, character sprite animations, and everything is followed by more than 10 background music that will accompany players to uncover stories through options in the game.

On February 10 (Sat.) and 11 (Sun.), 2024, JR EAST Train Simulator will travel to the "Super Train Stamp Rally Event in Omiya Station" to be held at the East-West Walkway of Omiya Station.

Date & Time: February 10 (Sat.) & 11 (Sun.), 2024 10:00-16:00 each day Railroad goods and station box lunches will be sold until 18:00 on both days.
The "JR EAST Train Simulator" will come to Omiya Station as one of the events of this event. At the event, visitors can enjoy the experience of driving the JR East Train Simulator using the same type of mass controller (manufactured by TSUKASA KIKOU CO.,LTD) that is actually used by the train drivers.

Recommendations
You can use the same type of mass controller (controller) that is actually used by the driver!
You can choose your favorite route to drive from among the routes that have been distributed in the JR EAST Train Simulator in the past!
Pairs of white gloves actually used by the driver on the train will be given to those who experience the simulator!
We will lend out school caps to children.
