One of the best features of Crash Course Builder is our amazing level editor. You can build your very own courses and then upload them to share with the community!

Submissions will be considered if they have been made by 11:59 pm AEST on Friday, March 1st, 2024.

• To submit a Crash Course for the competition, you have to post a link to it in the #next-fest Competitions channel of our Discord: 👉 Link. 👈
  
• You must tag it either Impossible or Zen.
  
• You can submit multiple courses and you can win multiple prizes.
  
• Copies of other players' courses are not eligible.
  
• Developers and their families are not eligible for rewards.

Judging will be done by the developers, Wombat Brawler, at their own discretion.

What we are looking for:

• Impossible Course. The absolute most insanely difficult course you can come up with... that is still beatable (so not actually impossible). Note: It is very important that you also submit a video of someone beating your course so we can see how it's done, it doesn't have to be you, if you have a friend who can beat it!
  
• Zen Course. Free flowing, smooth and feel like you are moving with the music. We are looking for courses that put you in a flow state and help you feel the rhythm. These courses can be difficult but shouldn't feel frustrating, they are not "Impossible Courses".
  
• Most Popular Community Course. The winner will have the most upvotes/emojis on their post inside #competitions on our Discord. Feel free to invite your friends in to vote on your course.

With all submissions, we give bonus marks for courses that look and feel great. Try designing aesthetically pleasing courses by grouping obstacles together, using animated transition effects and changing palette per section.

If courses are too short they may be marked lower than ones with multiple sections.

Try playing with different music section combinations to compile a track that flows well and consider the speed settings to match your music tempo.

Winners will be notified on Discord where we will ask for your Steam Username and use this method to send you the Steam Gift Card worth $150aud.

We hope everyone is having a Feb-ulous Fab-ruary! Here’s what we were up to for the last month~




Ziacia is the capital city of Gataela and home to the King’s Palace, just north of the city across a small bridge. The city itself is surrounded by a star fort, but it’s still easily accessible by boat if needed. (And we hope that won’t ever be needed.)



Ziacia is home to many tall buildings, many of which function as apartments. For example, this building contains four apartments with two on each floor. Pictured are two small units on the first floor:

• Left: Someone with quite an expensive taste in furniture, but it seems they blew all their budget so they don’t have much else
  
• Right: A single parent lives here with their child. It seems they’re getting ready for a picnic.

Some of the buildings also house groups of students all renting together… although it seems like this particular one has someone cramming for an exam, thesis or some other important thing. Let’s wish them luck, it seems they’ll need it.



Ziacia has a “famous” local bar down by the pier. Many sailors and military officers stop by here everyday as their favourite spot so it’s always packed. That being said there’s never any reports of issues because, after all, no one wants to anger the bar manager. Or else.



A small home belonging to a local sailor. It doesn’t seem like they are home very often, or perhaps they just haven’t cleaned in a while. But hm? Is that something behind their wardrobe?

We’ll be focusing on the following for the next month or so:

Olvia will be the last city we need to do interiors for and will contain most of the Kickstarter interiors (as most of you guys picked the same theme for your interiors. Wow.) It’ll take a month or two to complete, so we’ll have more about it in April’s update. A few people also reported some bugs in the demo, so we’ll begin to look at pushing out an update for that in early March which should contain other performance improvements and so on since the last update. It’ll be quite the patch notes.
