v0.10.1 Change log

New feature and changes
  • High-quality shadows should now be unavailable if your system does not support Shader Model 6, which is required for this technology.
  • Text for tasks in the level with wall painting should now be localized.
  • Collision for carpets has been removed, as it interfered with placing them with the collision detection mode enabled.
  • Fixed some errors in localization.
  • Pens and pencils are now placed horizontally by default, instead of being placed vertically.
  • Debug files added. The game's size will increase, but this will make it easier to identify problems in case of critical errors.
  • In the missions for furnishing a kitchen and a store, it is now possible to delete objects, and they will be returned to the list.
  • In the store cleaning mission, collision detection mode is now disabled by default as it hindered the placement of shelves.

Bug fixes and optimizations
  • Slightly rewritten some parts of the code to reduce the number of critical errors in the game.
  • Cabinet doors can no longer be removed.
  • Fixed a bug where deleting an item in your property did not compensate for the cost of the item.
  • Light should no longer penetrate the ceiling on medium graphics settings.
  • Fixed a puzzle lying halfway in a window.
  • Item prices in story mode are now more readable.
  • The game now has a new icon (On MacOS the icon changed to Unreal Engine, it is a known bug and will be fixed later)
  • The credits button now leads to an external page with the up-to-date list.
  • When selecting a color with the dropper, the cursor now changes.
  • In the tutorial level, the places where you need to put a chair are no longer displayed, except for the one needed to complete the tutorial.
  • First bottle in the tutorial level can now be deleted through the options menu (Right mouse button).
  • Object snapping to special spots now works more accurately.
  • Snapping option names should no longer overflow the border.
  • The shadow of the checkmark icon at the end of the mission is no longer cut off.
  • Removed the ability to open the repainting menu on items where this function is not supported. But in case there are such items left, game will not crash when opening this menu
  • The dust effect when placing objects should now display correctly on all items.
  • Added missing collision on some objects to make the non-intersecting items mode work.

Hello everyone!

Thank you all for your feedback, I've been working on implementing it into the game. This patch has been on the beta branch over the weekend and has been well received. From this point all I need is a wider range of opinions on it.

The main goal of this is to give the player more agency, so you have more actions to do each turn.

Major Features

Card Cycling: Right click and hold on a card to discard it and draw a card for the cost of two time. The goal of this is for you to have less dead draws, if you don't feel like you need a dodge right now, you can send it back to your deck and get that punch you need.

Hero Points: On the right side of combat, you get a hero point on combat start and when you use Recovery. You can spend one point to get +3 block on your turn (multiple times).
The goal of this is to have more options and allow you to be more flexible with when you can attack.

Two sidekick powers: Sidekicks start with Block 6 and you pick another ability. In combat you can choose which ability to use. All minor powers selected later apply to both.
The goal of this is to make sidekick builds more interesting as Block was probably the most powerful effect you could hope for. Now there is more room to have interesting powers, while still having a panic button ready.

Changes

Icons added to each card for statuses.

Gave +2 hp in tutorial as a temporary fix for a rare bug where the enemy could have an extra HP, meaning the player would lose.

Rounded off win percent on run history to 2 decimal places and run history cards in alphabetical order.

Fixed a bug where Fancy Feet Draw and Dodge were visually linked, so increasing one would visually increase the other.

Concentration was being removed completely on taking damage, this has been fixed to losing one stack.

Fixed in combat view of 6+ gear, currently it will show 12 gear well which will be improved further in the future.

Draft changed to only martial cards while a new system is sorted out to stop Science and Magic cards from appearing in the basic draft slot.

Made durability tooltip visually better when it is a negative number, such as from "Where it Hurts".

Barrier tooltip now shows up on sidekick power choice.

Fixed where statuses where being cut off visually.

Detonating nerfed to 20 time to activate and on the watch list. This will likely be further nerfed or changed once we see the effects of the new patch.

Fixed condition tooltips not showing up.
LEAD - Rally - Will@Tertus
Hey Drivers!

It's time for me to announce LEAD - Rally's first real update, Version 0.2, is now drifting into your gaming rigs. Grab your virtual helmets - things just got a whole lot smoother (and, dare I say, easier?).

What's Shifting in Gear:

  • Reworked Aero: The downforce has been increased by roughly 20%. What does this mean for your gameplay? More stability at breakneck speeds, more grip when you're flirting with the edge, and overall, a wilder ride that still feels tight and right.
  • Choose Your Challenge: I've heard you and introduced difficulty levels and driving assists. Whether you're just taking the training wheels off or you're ready to drift with no assists like a pro, there's a setting for you. Newcomer, Seasoned, or Legend - pick your poison!
  • Tutorial Mode Engaged: Full tutorial stage has been rolled out to show you the ropes. This is your chance to go from zero to hero at your own pace. Learn the ins and outs without the pressure and get to know the game's mechanics.

Your feedback is what makes all this possible. Please, keep the comments, high-fives, and bug squashing reports flowing!

Update now to 0.2 and remember, whether you're grinding gears or gliding smoothly, every drift counts.

Are you ready to take the LEAD?
Wait for the green aaaaaand - update!

Stay sharp,
Will

The Darkest Star - p049979
We have created some custom missions that outline the core combat of the game. There could be issues and small bugs. The combat is still being balanced, and we need your help with this so come give us some feedback and ideas for things you would like to see.

We have also added a survival mission, we don't know if its possible but there will be a prize if you have the highest number of rounds survived!
