Dungeons of Hinterberg is a single player ARPG with social simulation elements, that takes you on a vacation to the Austrian Alps.
25 magical dungeons have appeared around the village of Hinterberg attracting adventurers and tourists from all over the world, some describing it as the ultimate slaycation!
You’ll be playing as Luisa, a burnt-out law trainee taking a break from her fast-paced corporate life to take on the Dungeons of Hinterberg!
We could all do with a vacation, right?
Why have the dungeons appeared? What are all those monsters? Well, that’s something you’ll have to figure out on your own, but worry not, we’re a helpful bunch here in Hinterberg! We’ve put together a guide (a tourist guide of sorts, you might say), that will give you the rundown on some activities you’ll get up to in Hinterberg!

Before we get into things, worry not you spoiler avoiding slayers. We’re not covering any story elements here. Hinterberg is something that’s best experienced by coming to stay with us.
Speaking of staying, Theresa has been hard at work at her guest house, making sure we’re ready for you when you arrive. Your room will be the start and end of your day, we’ll make sure it’s all cosy for you. Resting up is an important part of the slayer journey.
In fact, relaxation is something we highly recommend: not only does spending time out of your day for yourself present you with some beautiful views, but it also helps in building up stats that will make you a stronger slayer. You’ll find many spots you can rest up in each overworld, and if you don’t feel like leaving the village on a particular day, you could always go visit the spa.
Read more on some of the activities that will make your vacation memorable in our “Relaxing in Hinterberg” blog
Now that you’re all relaxed and refreshed, let’s take a look at the “slay” in slaycation. In Hinterberg, you’ll visit 4 Overworlds, each with a unique biome and its own dungeons to conquer. We’ll take a closer look at the Overworlds in an upcoming blog!
Ever since those magical dungeons appeared, these mysterious monsters have been roaming these Overworlds and the dungeons within. You’ll be armed with your trusty blade and your magical skills. Each biome includes a magical skill shrine too, granting you skills that will be useful for that particular location.
Luisa approaches a Skill Shrine, wonder what she'll learn?
Skill shrines offer you skills useful for your current location, like a handy hoverboard for traversing the mountains
Be prepared when heading out. If you get into trouble, you’ll have a hard time calling for help. Due to magicial interference, your phone won't work. We hear one of the locals may have an "olden day" device that works regardless of the magic interference!
Dungeons are “the” go to attraction for most of our visitors. Each dungeon will have its unique set of challenges, including puzzles to solve, and monsters to slay. At the end of each dungeon, you’ll find a stamp station which you’ll use to stamp your book, which you can show off to your friends back at the village to let them know just how many dungeons you’ve conquered! Just remember to Stamp, or else the exit portal won't activate!
On that note, we’re sure you’ll befriend many of the other tourists and locals here. In fact, if we had to give one piece of advice, it’s to get out there and meet new people. You never know who can teach you that new skill, offer you an upgrade, provide you with insight or a useful hint, or maybe someone has the key to that one particular chest you couldn’t open up there in the mountains of Kolmstein? Who knows? Well, you will – if you go and mingle!
Once you’re done for the day and you return to the village, there’s many places you can meet new people and hang out, like the Krampus Bar for example!
Or maybe you just feel like going to see a movie, what? You didn’t think we’d have a cinema, but you were fine with magical dungeons?
Activities like watching a movie can also help with your stats, which you’ll need to build to become a stronger slayer to take on more challenging dungeons. Watching a fighting movie, for example, may help increase your attack damage.
Ooof that was a lot, and we’re just getting started! There’s a lot in Hinterberg we haven’t covered today, but keep your eyes peeled! We’ll be releasing more blogs soon, diving a little deeper into the game. Until then, I think we’ll head back to our room now and get a good night's sleep!

If you’re interested in what you see, we’d love it if you’d consider adding Dungeons of Hinterberg to your Wishlist today! 😊

Visualization of the chances of a successful dice roll. Now, when hovering over each dice, you will see the probability of that dice roll being successful. The best part is that the probability calculations are dynamic: each situation is evaluated separately.
New trial mode. Especially enjoyable for puzzle or chess enthusiasts. In this mode, the player must find the only possible course of action in which they will have a 100% chance of winning. If the chance is lower, the player will inevitably lose. The trial mode is designed to show players how randomness can sometimes be manipulated, essentially reducing it to nothing.
Change in card movement mechanics. From now on, no more restrictions; move the cards as many times as you want per turn. Moreover, it has become much more convenient to do so. In addition to the tablet buttons, you can now use the mouse wheel or keyboard buttons.
Starting bonus. Now, at the beginning of each race, you can choose one of two consumables that will help you in subsequent battles and increase your chances of completing the game.
We hope you fare well and all had a great start to the new year! Let’s raise our swords to the first Top 25 of 2024. You can see the full ranking in our Discord
Thank you all for playing and we hope you all enjoy your new outfits and paint jobs.
Have a relaxing break and see you back in the mountains next week! Your Megagons
The game is built on a much newer version of Unity, which should have a positive effect on the speed of the game, but also something can go wrong... we'll see.
I also added another item to the Workshop, which could be a great expansion of the area.
I refused to compress the game data, now it takes a little more on the disk, but it should be loading a little faster, and further updates should be smaller.
In defense mode, you can now call an enemy attack in advance.
Fixed a bug where the announcement voice did not complete the phrase completely when speeding up time.
TAA anti-aliasing has been fixed.
In the improvements of the engineering bureau, added marks indicating at what stage the improvement will have an effect.
More expressive arrows for the direction of enemy attacks.
Heart of Hope can no longer be knocked down by marauders.
Heart of Hope - price increased from 5000 to 7000, environmental damage reduced from -20 to -18, number of workers reduced from 60 to 40, generation reduced from 400 to 370.
Resource-free construction now applies to the Orbital Station.
The time acceleration button has been scaled up.
Updated documentation on creating mods for Workshop, now it is a google document and edits will be displayed dynamically.
Napoleon's Eagles: Game of the Napoleonic Wars - AvalonDigital
NAME CHANGE
Game name changed to Napoleon's Eagles, following a Trademark infringement complaint that was received without warning. Due to this, we are forced not to use Mark’s 40+ years well-known product name 'War & Peace', as his brand was only registered by Avalon Hill and him as a boardgame and not as a computer game.
NEW
New attrition rule as an option. - Instead of a global die-roll, you may opt for a local die-roll (one die per color and per map area). - Activate it as a module before starting a new game
Sticky Options: - when you start a scenario, all previously selected options for the same scenario are selected by default.
FIXES
Miscellaneous fixes - Removed the lead-time on the rules menu - Removed cheating possibility on siege die-rolls. - Better supply check - Attrition tutorial - The number of actions on the map button has been removed as too irrelevant
Online for Sumo Tanks is here! Anyone can try it out by signing up for the playtest on the Steam store page. Until February 4th, the playtest will be open to everyone. After that, the playtest will end and online will be added to the proper Sumo Tanks demo.
How can I play online?
There is a new "Online" dropdown in the top right of the screen. Clicking the dropdown or pressing tab will open it, and you'll be able to invite friends. Alternatively, your friends can join you directly from Steam without an invite. One player will be the "host" for all others. If the "host" disconnects, all other players will disconnect and return to the title screen.
Players can join at any point: on the main menu, selecting upgrades, or playing a match, it doesn't matter. Once they connect, they can watch the current game. If you pause, they can even take over a tank and join you!
Why have a separate playtest? Why not just update the demo?
Online has been tested as much as possible, but it may still have bugs. So, the playtest is being run separately to catch any bugs before adding online to the demo. If you encounter any bugs, please report them in the Steam Discussions.
For a stable version of Sumo Tanks, please play the demo or wait until February 5th for online to be added.
Is this a playtest for the full game?
No. This is a playtest for the DEMO with online. The available tanks, levels, and arenas are identical to the demo. The only difference is that you can now play online.
What happens to the playtest after it closes?
Online and any feedback will be added to the demo, and you will unable to launch the playtest from Steam. However, there will be another playtest for the full game at a later date. If you sign up for this playtest, you will be able to join the full playtest when it releases.
