Among bugfixes, I did some small balance changes for a couple annoying event-related situations to anticipate the event balance patch. Remember that Experimental branch has more improvements and is updated regularly, if you want to try that! Have fun! - Michele
Balance
Season and Weather-triggered consequences cannot appaer anymore after an Omen
Increased Frostnip event range from 2-4 to 3-5
Frostnip event rarity from 1 to 2
The Apocalyptic event Gangrene Epidemic is now replaced with Measles Epidemic, causing Sickness instead of Injury, so that it does not feel like nothing can be done until you unlock the Doc House
Burials are now correctly affected by Enhancement traits (such as the Performer's stall)
Bugfixes
Fixed trying to upgrade a Mountain Spring and then reverting the upgrade hiding the sprite forever
Fixed bug with events sometimes generating consequences of Heat into the Cold domain, and viceversa
Fixed bug with events sometimes not correctly checking what other events would be coming up
Fixed rare bug with event chance changing on pass turn when an event is generated exactly on the Doom area edge
Fixed hovering on the chance bar before an event comes erroneously showing 50/50 chance
Fixed Happiness and Love particles losing their color (what a sad bug!)
Fixed Butcher's Table listing 1 turn in the Agepedia to gather feathers from chicken instead of 2
In this event you will not know friends nor family: In a 100p map with the ‘anonymous round’ feature enabled and no coalitions you will be pitted against 99 other players in a struggle for survival.
The event maps will start immediately after their creation with random country selection enabled and will run at normal speed. Players are flagged as inactive after 2 days. There is also an AI & human player peace period of 1 real-life day. Additional option this time: 6 week time-box. The game will end after 6 weeks, the player with the highest victory points wins and receives a large gold prize.
If you want to participate in this event simply go to the game list: Within the sign-up period new event rounds will be created on demand and shown on top of the list of new games.
The Hidden Art of Innkeeping is participating in Steam Next Fest on Feb 5-12! This is the first livestream where I'll play the demo and answer any questions.
The Hidden Art of Innkeeping is a cozy management game where you'll transform an old farmhouse in a seaside village into a luxurious inn. Meet interesting guests, unlock delicious dishes, discover new areas and hidden treasures, configure rooms and amenities, uncover secrets, and rejuvenate the struggling village!
And if you can't make the first livestream, the second one is scheduled to take place on Sat, Feb 10 at 12 pm (noon) PT (20:00 UTC).
There is very little time left before the start of the new season in Crossout. Tomorrow, survivors from all over the Wasteland will not only find out what weapons the Hyperboreans will bring with them this time, but will also be able to get a detailed look at them. We can’t wait to reveal everything ourselves!
And now for some gossip: here and there, survivors are spreading rumours that recently there was a raid on the Steppenwolf scouts. It doesn’t seem to be a big deal, considering their “warm relations” with the Firestarters. But the interesting thing is that the attack was carried out by a single armoured aircraft, piloted by... an elderly woman of a rather extravagant appearance. Thanks to her memorable look, as well as her distinctive armoured aircraft, she has already been named “Dragonfly” and now the Steppenwolfs cautiously look up at the sky during another raid. Whether or not you believe in these stories about old Firestarter lady warriors is up to you. In time, we will know everything.
You can download these and other artworks from the “Wallpapers” section on our official website. For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:

💰 Is there a launch discount?

🎮 What platforms is the DLC available on?
Eastward: Octopia is now available on Steam and Nintendo Switch.
An important note regarding the NS physical version - please ensure you purchase the DLC from the same eShop region as the base game in order for the DLC to activate. If you purchased a physical copy of Eastward, please check which region it is before you download the DLC product.
In terms of other platforms where the Eastward base game is currently available, the dev team are looking into making the DLC available and we will update the community as soon as we have more news.
Did you know that Eastward is also fully verified for play on SteamDeck? We think Eastward: Octopia is the perfect game to take with you on the go!
🐣 Do I need to have played the Eastward base game before I play the DLC?
Eastward: Octopia takes place in a parallel universe, so there's no need to have finished (or even started) Eastward's base game story to enjoy the simple life - you can even play it straight from the main menu.
Although many familiar faces appear in Eastward: Octopia, the plot, gameplay and character 'settings' will be a completely new experience.
However, please note that a copy of Eastward is required to access the DLC.
Once you've purchased and downloaded the DLC, make sure the DLC is 'checked' in the base game properties. After starting the base game of Eastward in your Steam Library, you can then travel to the pastoral time and space of Eastward: Octopia is a single click from the main menu interface!🚞
Eastward and the Eastward: Octopia DLC each have their own independent multi-save location. This means that when you need a break from the bustling streets of New Dam City, you can jump back in the DLC where you left off for some rural tranquillity in Octopia (or vice versa)! Although the stories unfold in parallel, experiencing the two completely different lives of the protagonists at the same time might also help to unearth some easter egg links that will make you smile! 😄
⏰ How long is the DLC?
We estimate that it will take about 15 to 20 hours to clear the main content of the DLC, but the actual time depends on your playstyle. Some players may spend more time discovering recipes to unlock and make various tasty dishes 🍛, or get re-acquainted with familiar characters! You might also indulge more time in mini-games such as fishing 🎣 or the bomb-mining game. It's safe to say there is much to be discovered!
⏩ We have also added the "fast forward" function from the recent December base game QoL update. When playing animations and talking to characters, players can press the E key to speed up and skip text passages; or they can take a nap on the bench in front of John & Sam's cottage to recover their physical strength while the in-game time speeds up.
📖 Any tips for how to get started in Eastward: Octopia?
A successful life in the countryside always starts with getting hold of some good farm tools and getting to work planting and harvesting crops, clearing the fields, and selling your produce! Last week we posted a Steam News blog all about Farm Management tips - take a look!
You can also bring up the game menu at any time to view the current cooking tasks, find out the location of town residents on the map, check crop information and maturity time, and gradually unlock more character information. Videos demonstrating farming, harvesting, felling etc. in the game are also shown in the Settings menu.
Love Eastward? How about some super-duper-exclusive merch? 🤩

Our Lunar New Year update is now live! We hope you’ll have fun celebrating the Year of the Dragon in this seasonal event and minor content update.
Collect Lucky Coins from Red Envelopes found across the underground and trade those in at the Seasonal Merchant for awesome decorative items such as Guardian Lion Statues, Paper Lanterns, and the Dragon Mask Helm. Show off your play time, party size, and current biome with an all-new rich presence across Steam and Discord. We’re also introducing a game-changer for your base building experience with updates to the way wall and floor tiles work.
We’ve combined these two tiles into one smart tile (that changes depending on placement) to save on inventory space and streamline the building process. As of the Lunar New Year update, any wall tiles in your inventory will become combined wall/ground tiles. Ground tiles will remain the same as always in your inventory until placed out into the world, where they’ll become combined wall/ground tiles when mined and picked back up again.
Check out our patch notes for a full list of what’s available in this update. And, as always, we’d love to see your seasonal bases and hear what you think of the update over on Discord, X, and here in the comments. Happy Lunar New Year, everyone.
