About The Arrogant Kaiju Princess and Her Pet Detective
Greetings, I am Nadrums, the producer of Arrogant Kaiju Princess and Her Pet Detective.
This is a spin-off of Kaiju Princess, and the idea of the Pet Detective came from Detective Conan and The Familiar of Zero.
Daigneux, the female lead, is extremely powerful in combat, and has the ability to create and control mighty kaijus. Currently she really is the most powerful being in the Kaiju Universe, but she denies it despite being arrogant.
From the players’ perspective, why would someone so powerful go through the trouble of kidnapping a weak Earthling to conquer a planet? And what’s the deal with the Mission from the Mother Star?
Daigneux might be extremely overpowered, but she is not omnipotent. Her biggest weakness is her arrogance.
The male lead is just an ordinary modern Earthling, but his acute observations and meticulous mind make up for what Daigneux lacks. Her conquests require careful planning and execution, like finding a pearl in an ant colony without hurting the ants. She doesn’t have what it takes for such careful work.
Her immense power and her tendency to think linearly make her incapable of handling things with finesse, and she will basically destroy the ant colony as soon as she reaches out.
Her arrogance is also a factor (well, she is the arrogant princess after all). She finds it filthy and disgusting, and not something appropriate for a princess like her. Even if she could do it, she would not be willing to.
(She’s also very clumsy and silly, and that is why the male lead is able to manipulate her.)
Given the above, it is not hard to see that by the end of the game, what Daigneux really wants is someone to serve and spend time with her, but she’s too arrogant to say so herself, so she uses the conquest to display her superiority and power and hide her loneliness.
Because of her loneliness, the male lead’s tendency to focus on the truth about the planet and inability to read the room sometimes make the strong-willed Daigneux extremely jealous, even when she doesn’t notice it herself (but she probably will not admit it either). The tsundere is what makes her really cute! (lol)
About the Kaiju Princess Universe and ARTcelerator
This game was developed mainly by my ARTcelerator team, with the help and authorization of PantyParrot.
I am an animator with more than ten years of experience as a 3D artist, and I’ve been on the development teams of many famous games from Taiwan, such as Sakura Scroll, The Children of Doomsday, Rakuou Mikamijo, TenkafuMA, and more. I was also responsible for the sex scenes in Kaiju Princess, and most of the Spine animations in this game.
I’ve known DOES and Maokuan, the producer and writer of Kaiju Princess, for many years. At the end of July 2022, after Kaiju Princess showed good results, we were at a karaoke bar when it occurred to us that we can create a Kaiju Princess Universe with each of the seven sins! DOES and Maokuan decided on the spot to use the original team to make the Gluttonous Princess, so I volunteered to lead a team to make the Arrogant Princess, both as a challenge and a learning experience.
To make the story consistent and continuous, I decided to let Maokuan write all the scripts for the Kaiju Princess Universe. ARTcelerator was still in its infancy, so there was no lead artist, and I was the only animator. I came up with the first draft of the world view, the designs, and the character stories. I had to ask Philosophy, the artist for Kaiju Princess, to help me with the early character designs for Arrogant Princess.
I started as a one-man team under tremendous financial stress and deadlines, and slowly expanded the team by working with external resources and recruiting those who I think are suitable for the team. We still don’t really look like a team, but we do what we can.
Development started in August 2022, and didn’t finish until December 2023. I am no stranger to the game industry, but making a game from zero to one was several times more difficult than I imagined.
For about a year and half, we brainstormed, planned the development workflow, explored new technology, created working builds, and tested them repeatedly to make sure the game ran smoothly.
We also had to take the art production and quality into account, as well as localization standards for various languages. Of course, there was also plenty of debugging. The difficulties and setbacks were unimaginable to the outside world.
With limited manpower, funding, and time, each step was a difficult challenge, especially with regards to the final quality of the game. It was as if we were in an RPG game ourselves, starting out in rookie village, leveling up through killing monsters, getting better equipment, meeting new companions, and defeating bosses until we beat the game.
I am very grateful for my team for the success of Arrogant Kaijui Princess. Both old friends and newcomers are those who know game development well and fight on the frontline. Everyone is a veteran, and some even volunteered to work after their day job hours are over, because everyone believed in the Arrogant Princess. I would also like to thank the PantyParrot team for helping us and placing their trust in us.
About the Story and Characters
The story of Arrogant Princess is easy to understand: become closer to Daigneux, conquest the factions on the planet, have sex with their leaders... Compared to SLG, the interactions between player and each of the characters make this more like a visual novel.
We put a lot of effort in giving each character their personality, and worked with the best voice actors (of the dark side) to give them their soul and charm.
We do hope that players will experience the entire story of the game, but since this is an indie 18+ game, players who are “in a hurry” can also skip the story to focus on the CG and the action. We try to cater to both types, after all...
About the Good Ending Theme Song
Since ARTcelerator is a new team, our members have to be multi-talented to handle emergencies. The promotional video and the ending theme were actually made just a few days before the final delivery.
Since I’m a musician and in a band, the song was actually created by my group, Future Development (Vol thanks Rouyi from MangoParty for their support). I was looking through the comments, and one player that played bass commented that the slapping bass line in the song was amazing. It was very moving to have a musician validate the hard work that we put in.
There are plenty of updates to The Arrogant Princess and her Pet Detective in the pipeline. We’d like to thank our players for their encouragement and support, and the MangoParty team and the PantyParrot team for their friendship and trust!

From February 6, 10 a.m.-February 20, 10 a.m. PST players in both Seasonal and Eternal Realms can bask in the resplendency and joy of the Lunar Awakening limited-time event. A mysterious phenomenon is manifesting throughout the shrines of Sanctuary, enchanting them with immense and prosperous power. Celebrators believe this to be their Ancestors, blessing them from beyond the grave to celebrate this joyous occasion!
Identify and activate Lunar Shrines throughout all areas and activities found within Sanctuary. While active you will earn 50% bonus XP (multiplicative) and have 30% increased movement speed, a plethora of buffs, all while earning Ancestors Favor reputation.
Lunar Awakening has Dawned
To fully enjoy the revelry of Lunar Awakening, travel to Ked Bardu and head to the Northern section of town. Once there you’ll meet Ying-Yue, the leader of the Lunar Night Market. This market is your central hub for Lunar Awakening, where you’ll redeem your Ancestor’s Favor reputation for extravagant Lunar Renewal themed rewards.
Lunar Shrines are spread throughout Sanctuary. Fight your way through both dungeons and the overworld, activating Lunar Shrines and slaying monsters to earn copious amounts of Ancestors Favor reputation.
Lunar Shrines can be identified by their appearance, adorned with a Dragon in celebration of Lunar Awakening. Lunar Shrines also have a unique Map icon, making them easy to identify from a distance.
During Lunar Awakening, Nightmare Dungeon Sigils have a chance to have an Ancestor’s Favor dungeon affix which guarantees only Lunar Shrines spawn for that dungeon. In addition to the extra Shrines, you will also receive 10% bonus Glyph XP once the Dungeon is complete! All Nightmare Dungeon Sigils with the Ancestor’s Favor Affix will retain it once the event has ended, so feel free to stockpile away for days long after the Moon has set on Lunar Awakening.
Lunar Shrines and Ancestors Favor
Lunar Shrines are coursing with a mysterious and immense power. Celebrators of the Lunar Awakening believe this power to be the returning spirits of our ancestors, adorned to mark the special occasion. During the Lunar Awakening, some Shrines have been replaced with Lunar Shrines, with an updated appearance to match the festivities! Lunar Shrines function similarly to typical Shrines; but they have been augmented for an extra punch to celebrate this festive event.
Lunar Shrines provide an exciting bonus effect on top of their regular Shrine power, the Lunar Shrine effects are listed below.
Augmented Lunar Shrine Effects:
Artillery Shrine – Casts have a chance to summon a holy bomb.
Blast Wave Shrine – Each explosion summons a cluster bombardment.
Channeling Shrine- Increased attack speed and chance to reset cooldowns.
Greed Shrine – Chance to summon a Treasure Goblin. While the Shrine is active, 25 kills summons a Treasure Goblin, and 50 kills summons a second.
Lethal Shrine – Chance to instantly execute a struck monster, causing Fear on surrounding monsters. Note: this includes Elites, but excludes Bosses and other Players.
Protection Shrine – You reflect all incoming damage. Damage reflected scales with Level and World Tier.
On top of these powerfully amplified effects, Miserly spirits spawn immediately when a Lunar Shrine is activated, allowing you to immediately capitalize on the Shrines’ specific gameplay augmentation.
Additionally, Lunar Awakening themed Whisper bounties are available throughout the event making them an excellent place to earn Ancestors Favor reputation while appeasing the Tree of Whispers!
Don Lunar Garments and Shine
There are 10 Ancestor’s Favor reputation levels in total to earn, and 6 different Lunar themed cosmetic rewards to unlock. Lunar Awakening themed garments will also be available in Tejal’s shop, materializing to adorn your wanderer in threads befitting this joyous occasion.
