We’re delighted to announce that we’re taking part in Steam Next Fest throughout all of next week, and wanted to give you a rundown of everything that we’ll be doing from February 5th-12th!
Steam Next Fest gives developers a chance to show off playable demos of their upcoming games: it will be your opportunity to try out TerraTech Worlds for the first time. Yes, really!
How You Can Play
Once Next Fest officially kicks off on February 5th 2024 at 10 AM PST/6 PM GMT, you’ll be able to try out TerraTech Worlds straight away. You can go to the game’s main Steam page and download the demo version to try out as soon as you like.
As soon as you’ve installed TerraTech Worlds locally, you’ll be able to play as much as you like until February 12th 2024.
Here are the PC specs required to play TerraTech Worlds:
MINIMUM:
Expected to run at 30 fps, with graphics sliders set to minimum.
Windows PC
GPU with 6GB VRAM and DX12 support
nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB
4-core CPU @ 3.4Ghz or similar
16GB RAM
Display: Aspect ratio 16:9 or 16:10
Additional Notes: Minimum requirements may change over the course of development.

Here at Payload, we love our Steam Decks, though legally we have to advise you not to smell the vents, as warm and inviting as they may be. TerraTech Worlds is not currently optimised for Steam Decks, so we wouldn’t recommend playing on your Deck if you want the most optimal play experience during Next Fest.
We’re working on bringing a more polished version of the game to Steam Deck in the future though, so rest assured that you’ll eventually be able to play TerraTech Worlds on the couch, bus, plane, horse, nautiloid, or whatever your preferred method of transport may be.
Developer Streams
As well as having the opportunity to play the game yourself, we’ll also be streaming throughout the week to show off some tips and tricks to help you get the most out of TerraTech Worlds.
Our Community team will be joined by developers and designers to give some insight into the development process of TerraTech Worlds, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask them any questions too, live on stream.
We’ll be streaming here on Steam at the following dates/times:
Monday 5th February: 9 PM GMT
Tuesday 6th February: 2 PM GMT
Wednesday 7th February: 2 PM GMT
Thursday 8th February: 8 PM GMT
Friday 9th February: 2 PM GMT

Ahead of Steam Next Fest we took some time to play through the new demo, talk about the development and inspirations for the game and also answer your questions. Benny may also tell us about his very own spooky experience*...
We've released the new demo too, so make sure you try that out and wishlist the game.
If you have any questions for us, please drop them in the comments.
Time to share some development news. I am attaching a video of a short gameplay (or rather a walk) of the game.
Some details about the game: In the game, in addition to the usual carriage (by the way, there will be several carriages and each will have different characters, settings, etc.), there will also be a city, filled with life (people, cars, sounds of the city, etc.), and also well designed train stations.
I note that the video is only a small demonstration. Everything will be much better when the game is released :).
