Gameplay

Hunting
Players must first gather ingredients and hunt various monsters before they can cook. Each chapter ends with a boss stage that tests players' cooking and cooperative skills.
Ingredients
Most of the ingredients are obtained from monsters, which adds more variety and depth to the gameplay.
Knives
Knives are limited in number, emphasizing the importance of teamwork. Players must discuss how to use knives efficiently.

Cooperation

  • The 30 game levels have more detailed teamwork mechanics. Some hidden areas are carefully designed to allow players to find the best solution to get high scores in the stage.
  • The game is designed for single-player to multiplayer. Different strategies and gameplay mechanics are provided a ccording to the number of players. Therefore, it also supports single-player mode.

Score

  • Casual players can easily get 1-2 stars after familiarizing themselves with the stage. Players who are looking for a challenge can try to challenge the 3-star difficulty.
  • Players can unlock new characters and new attack methods by collecting enough stars.
  • The number of players and the score standard are optimized, so the difficulty of the game is not affected by the number of players.

Fixed and modified issues
1. The star scores for the first chapter stages 1-1 to 1-6 were adjusted.
2. The star requirements for unlocking the first chapter stages 1-6 were modified.
3. The star scores for the first chapter stages 1-7 to 1-10 were adjusted for one-two stars.

  • Guard: Now won’t be used by enemies which guard already.
  • Tackle: Now uses the attacker’s DEF for damage calculation as intended.

Here are some updates notes for Crescent Quest 1.7.1.

* The Lunar New Years event has started, you can access it through the Cressora Town event portal, there's a few new items to earn. All Lunar New Year items will be obtainable again in future events.

* Re-added Legacy Mode. This mode is not finished yet but can still be played, I will be working on it more over the next few months.

* Updated the New Lusnayin tutorial.
* Updated the Old Spitehound to be more of a "beginner boss".
* Added a new low level boss / foe to the west of Cressora Town.
* Added additional rewards after certain quests are completed, try re-visiting certain quest locations!
* Added more ways to obtain cures for status inflictions.
* Added more ores throughout the world.

* Added a way to craft a new healing item, every boss will always drop an item that allows you to make a better version of the Statue's Remnants. You will need an Energy Renewal for this!

* The mage who gives you experience depending on the Renown you have has been moved to Cressora Castle.

* Fixed the Crescent Guild not being able to be entered.
* Fixed an issue with bridges around the world.
* Fixed certain doors around the game, some could be stepped on.

the first week of our Early Access Adventure is already over and we couldn't be happier with how it went! We see Early Access as the point in time where you as the player can actively take part in the development process and help us push the game to it's best possible version in the end - and you excelled our expectations, delivering constructive criticism and helpful feedback, which is exactly why ...

...we are here with a little more content than the last patches. We have tried to work on all of your feedback, fixing the bugs that survived our recent bug-squashing and (almost) every little feedback that would positively affect the gameplay.

We even added some new features that you were asking for (playing the game in stopped time mode, keybinding, new structures, cursor colour selection, Postfx adjustment, camera movement speed adjustment, 2D/3D ui scaling, Screen adjustment, V-Sync preferences etc.)
Also Bug fixes and balancing operations on certain production trees, fire, lightning, etc. effects were performed - but see for yourself:

  • Added: Full Time Stop Play.
    that we were able to implement earlier than planned. A Full Time Stop gameplay feature has been added. You can construct buildings, build roads, manage your production options or distribution limits as you wish.

  • Added: 'Season and event based 'LUT' change'
    feature that offers a series of aesthetic changes in the colour theme and Postfx output according to major environmental events, with four seasons and extreme seasons. For those who do not want to use this feature, an optional 'Custom LUT' setting has been added to the setting.

  • Added: 'Cursor synchronised camera'
    Optionally manageable via Setting cursor pan synchronised camera movement to support one-handed gameplay.

  • Added: 16 new customisable Postfx options.
    Especially for those who want to change the brown theme and colour weighting, a setting capability that allows it to be managed with different LUT outputs as desired.

Balance
  • Production formulae for metal components in the TIII phase have been readjusted.(Ingots, Basic and Power Tools, Machinery)
  • A partial adjustment was made to the production of clothing.
  • Distillery production tree and output efficiency have been reorganised for TIII phase
  • Fire probability and spread of fire in wooden structures have been slightly changed. The chance of successful intervention has been readjusted.
  • The negative multiplier, which suppresses the population in the absence of empty houses and affects the child births multiplier, has been adjusted again.
