GRAVEN - FQ_Dom
Greetings, everyone!

We bring truly amazing news - GRAVEN has now left Early Access and is fully released!
We would like to thank everyone who accompanied us on our Early Access journey, it's only thanks to your support and feedback that we've been able to bring you the full experience that GRAVEN has become.

No development journey is truly over at launch day however, and we beseech you, continue sharing your thoughts with us and let us know if you find any problems, as you have during Early Access. We have also created a thread here in Steam discussions listing known issues, with helpful tips for those who encounter certain unpleasant situations, until we patch these pesky bugs out.

GRAVEN’s 1.0 launch introduces two whole new zones: Hub 2, “The Granite Watch,” and Hub 3 “The Subnatural Desert,” as well as expanded depth and finer polish in Hub 1. Also making their debut are 12 new enemy types (for a 24 total), 5 new weapons and spells (bringing the total to 15), 4 rings, 3 new stones for your staff and 1 new potion (for a grand total of 11 items).

Due to the amount of not just new content, but changes and updates to the first hub of the game, saves players have made during Early Access will not work, as we have announced previously.

If you like the game, you might be interested in getting the Digital Artbook and learn more about the process of creating the unique visual style of GRAVEN, or the official Soundtrack to accompany you on your journey on the Parallel Path. You can also get both along with the game in the form of the Deluxe Edition for an extra discount (which applies even if you already own the game).

https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/38094/Looking_For_Redemption/

Speaking of discounts, for the first week from launch, you will be able to get GRAVEN, the Digital Artbook and Soundtrack with a 15% discount, and we have also arranged the following bundles to let you get an even better price, if you already have other awesome games. Or of course, you can just buy them in one neat package now!

Thank you very much for playing and if you like GRAVEN, don't forget to leave a review here on Steam!

Age of Tribulation - Apostle Games

Video Developer Log #5 has just been uploaded to Youtube. This log focuses on the Messaging (Dialogue) System and the File (Save/Load) System.

  • NPCs now say something when you first initiate dialogue with them.
  • Typing sound effect will play while dialogue is being printed.
  • The player will always have 4 options in dialogue; unused options will be grayed out.
  • The player will never manually save; everything the player does (go to another map, open the character menu, etc.) will automatically save to a single save space chosen at character creation. (Think Ironman Mode)
  • There are a total of 4 save slots meaning you can have up to 4 different characters concurrently playing.
  • Meta Progression: We now have a global currency that can be accessed by all 4 saved characters across all save locations.
  • Permadeath: When the player dies, their spirit will be transported to The Nothing where they can choose to leave with the Creator to Cerulean effectively ending their game OR they can attempt to battle their way out of The Nothing and be reunited with their body in the physical realm to continue their adventures. If the player dies in The Nothing, their soul will forever be trapped and tormented in The Abyss effectively ending their game.

After watching the video, we would like to invite you to engage with us in feedback about what you saw and listen to suggestions and ideas that you may have to make this project even better. Feel free to leave comments here on Steam, on our Discord Server, Youtube channel, or Twitter Page.

If you wish to support this project, you can Wishlist AoT on the main page; that gets us extra exposure on Steam.

Thank you and God bless!

Mostroscopy - Strider Spinel
Kukamon, the first post-launch fighter of the game is almost ready. It is a retro-futuristic style robot created by Dr. Cadillac, who also created the fighter Penumbra.

Kukamon is a heavy fighter but still faster than Yotecatl and Penumbra, using his heavy metal body and ice attacks to fight his way through the fight.

In addition to it's movements, we have to make reactions to the other characters' throws... it's ending, challenge mode challenges and art, so finishing the animations is just part of the job.

Even so, it will be ready soon and we will add it as free extra content to the game with the new update!

Wayfinder - [AS] SOLIDAge
Subtitle: Six Major Changes to Enhance Performance and Stability

It’s time to optimize! We hope players have been enjoying the first iteration of the Job Board Preview. We are actively reviewing and planning adjustments to the system based on the mountain of feedback provided by all of you. Our next patch will include quite a few job-related fixes and changes, thanks to the community’s help.

As we showcased in our Q1 Roadmap, this patch will primarily focus on optimizations rather than content. We remain committed to securing the foundation of the game, and we’ve heard players loud and clear: you want better performance, fewer disconnects, and a more stable experience. The team’s big hope with this patch is that we’ve made a significant leap forward in terms of the client’s overall responsiveness and stability.

Shader Precompilation:
Upon startup, we will now perform shader precompilation right away, as opposed to when you encounter content. This will significantly reduce hitching, stuttering, and input lag when encountering certain abilities, enemies, and biomes.

Skylight and Highlands Asset Optimization:
Our tech teams have conducted numerous passes of optimization in areas like Skylight and the Highlands, reducing dense amounts of geometry and assets. A major HLOD (Hierarchical Level of Detail) pass was completed to “trim the fat” of excessive assets causing unnecessary processing burdens.

Lighting Overhaul:
We have overhauled the way we process lighting, reduced complexity, minimized overlapping lights, and removed shadows on light sources that were unnecessary. This has resulted in a significantly lower processor burden when rendering illuminated areas.

Quality and Performance Mode Added for PS5:
This highly requested console feature will allow PlayStation 5 players the ability to choose between higher graphical fidelity or an improved frame rate, achieving a near-locked 60 fps.

Improvements to Asset Loading:
We have increased the buffer period for asset streaming regions, which will result in significantly less hitching when traversing large areas with lots of details and players. This will have a greater impact on machines that are closer to our minimum requirements than on higher-end machines.

Backend Inventory Optimizations:
Our netcode has undergone significant improvements to inventory tracking in an effort to reduce server and transaction loads. This includes optimizing the amount of player data sent to the server, cutting instances of required bandwidth in half in some cases. We hope this significantly reduces disconnects for players who have logged many hours into Wayfinder and have very large inventories (long playtime history = lots of histories and logs). We have also performed a major optimization of multiplayer data infrastructure, which will reduce server load, hitches, and potential disconnects when players with excessively large inventories join a server you are on.

As January comes to a close, we want to again thank all of our dedicated fans who have continued to show their love for Wayfinder with all the feedback posted every day, as well as welcome all of the new faces we are seeing around Evenor!

Our next patch preview will focus on some of the exciting UI and gameplay changes you can expect from Patch 0.2.4, coming in early February!

  • Fixed a bug where horses couldn’t be moved successfully into the stables from the stable manager.
  • Fixed a bug that caused horses in the fertility pasture to not be displayed in the stable manager.
  • Fixed a bug where you couldn't give a treat to a horse after they were in the fertility pasture.
