Thank you all for your valuable feedback and comments! Your insights helps us to focus on the next steps.
Currently, our development is part-time, but rest assured, we are dedicated to completing the game. It might take a bit longer, but we're committed to making it happen.
Confirmed features in the upcoming update:
Audio totally rewritten in FMOD, which gives us more dynamics, control, and a much easier workflow for new content
Rewritten player stat updates into a Ring System, where you wear bling bling in fingers to gain stat boosts
Key bindings!
Level polish, with little extra nooks and crannies to find
Enemies wear shields to distinguish easily which side you can punch. Can be toggled off.
Implemented decals, like graffiti and signs to read, all over the levels
And lots of small fixes.
It will come out soon, after we've had time to finish and test it.
Friend Pass allows you and a friend to enjoy "Party Animals" together, with only one of you needing to own the game. If your friend doesn't have the game, they can simply search for "Party Animals" on Steam and download the Friend Pass version at no cost. Once you've added each other as friends within the game, the owner of the full version can send an invitation to their friend with the Friend Pass to join their team or lobby.
Why is it a beta test?
The current version of Friend Pass is released mainly for testing purposes and is scheduled to be removed in a month (Jan 25th - Feb 25th). During this month, we will observe how the function is being used and gather feedback from our player base. We will make future decisions about the Friend Pass based on these feedbacks. If everything goes well, we hope to keep this feature.
How does the Friend Pass differ from the full version?
Players with the Friend Pass must receive an invite from a player with the full version to participate in Quick Matches and Custom Games. Upon receiving such an invitation, Friend Pass holders are free to join in these matches and games.
While Friend Pass players are able to level up and obtain in-game achievements as usual, any rewards and platform-specific achievements they earn will not yet be usable until they have purchased full version of the game.
Will a Friend Pass player's progress be saved if they decide to purchase the game?
Absolutely, their game progress will be retained. What's more, any rewards that were unlocked while playing with the Friend Pass will be awarded in full once the full version is purchased.
Is Friend Pass a single-use feature, or can I invite multiple friends over time?
Players with the full version of the game can invite one Friend Pass player at a time to their team or lobby. However, if one friend ceases to play, they are free to invite another friend to join.
Which platforms support the Friend Pass?
Currently, the Friend Pass version of "Party Animals" is only available on Steam.
Does the Friend Pass support cross-platform invitations?
Yes, currently, full version players on Steam and Xbox can invite Friend Pass players to join their team/lobby.

The new area, Snowfield, has been updated! Here are the key features of this update:
Snowfield
Snowfield is a region filled with snow, ice, and a conspiracy unfolding in secret. Baby Ogu must join forces with the small detective 'Paul' to uncover the hidden secrets of Snowflake Village.
Headbutt
You can charge up and release a powerful headbutt. The longer you charge the headbutt, the farther and more powerful it becomes.
Use the headbutt to break through solid obstacles or deal significant damage to enemies. In Snowfield, you'll encounter puzzles and enemies that can only be solved or defeated with a headbutt.
Jewel Crafting
In underground areas and caves across all regions, some rocks can be broken to reveal jewel-crafting stones. In Snowfield, you can find jewel crafting tools that allow you to craft jewels from these stones.
Currently, excluding two jewels in the Central Forest, you can collect 10 different jewels. which can be displayed in the museum.
Three Clues
The main quest in the Snowfield area involves finding three clues hidden in Snowflake village with Paul.
Uncover the purpose of the mining in the Crystal Cave
Reveal what research is being conducted in the Research Base
Discover the source of the white fruits on the high mountain
New Collectibles
Added are various new collectibles, including Snowfield-themed interior items, collectible bugs, totems, and more.
We plan to spend about 1-2 weeks on build stabilization, followed by completing the Central Forest and ensuring 100% progress in each area. We are working hard to develop the official version set for release in the first half of this year.
