Little ol' Super Buff HD is one of the games in Kotaku's 'OK Boomer: These Are 10 Of The Best Boomer Shooters' feature. We're in fine company too, schmoozing sweaty shoulder rubs with the likes of ULTRAKILL, Ion Fury, and Dusk.

Here's what Kotaku says about Super Buff HD:

"This feels like the game Strong Bad would have made if he had a more powerful Lappy, a deeply weird and weirdly animated shooter that’s clearly influenced by Homestar Runner. But also by Duke Nukem 3D, which is why I believe it deserves a spot here."

Attention Troopers!
An update is now available on the open beta branch, adding Scenario Editor and Steam Workshop support for the Raising Hell DLC content. It allows you to create custom scenarios using DLC content, as well as play them through the Steam Workshop.
The update also includes an update of the new challenge missions for the Raising Hell DLC and several balance changes and fixes.



If you encounter technical problems or if you have feedback on the changes, you can let us know through the in-game feedback form (opened by pressing F11 while in the game), or on our discord’s beta channel.

  • Maximum Shop Reroll Cost increased to 100 (up from 50)
  • Roll With It can no longer appear in the Shop
  • Roll With It now grants 50 Gold (up from 25)

Note: The reduction of the Maximum Gold is only intended as a short term solution, we will be revisiting the Gold Economy in 0.12

It's time to get my head, back into the game. I've decided to review my goals to achieve full release status. It will take a lot of time and effort to implement some of these features. So I've decided to refine my release goals and if my games get enough interest after full game release. I will go back and add the game features in the future roadmap update.

So after full game release, it'll be time to put my love letters to 80's gaming on hold. To start work on a modern no limits project.


CURRENT ROADMAP TO FULL RELEASE( Approximate timeframe 6 Months )

Ah 'ate those flockin birds
  • Add background to game when playing.
  • Sort the font on options screen.
  • Sort the multiplier swap sound not playing.
  • Sort the humming bird kill not destroying bullet.

Retroa Retroa Builda
  • Add Completely modern game movement/controls.
  • Create 20 Bonus levels.
  • Create 20 Secret levels.
  • Create sprites as needed, from creating new levels.
  • Create music, 5 tracks selectable on title screen.
  • Sort the keyboard keys 7/7.5 playing reverb note.
  • Add different varieties of all selectable blocks. i.e. conveyors, crumbling, background blocks.
  • Make it so default levels don't get added to the list of random/continuous/User levels.
  • Add sprite to show player still has an active double jump.
  • Refine the collision on logs( And possibly a lot of other objects ).

  • Tidy up NPC animations.
  • Sort Saving of Set Levels current NPC's Male/Female and NPC level.

  • Reposition help/ouch to line up to NPC same as health bar.
  • Flesh out some of the synergising of the Assist blocks.

  • Add extra ways of detecting when NPC's are trapped.

Hey everyone! It's not Friday, but since I haven't done one of these in a while, I thought I'd share a midweek update.

Happy New Year to all of you! I wanted to thank all of you for your continued support. It makes such a difference– seriously, you probably don't even realise exactly what it means to me. It's been such a privilege for me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you!

2023 was a difficult year for a lot of us, (listening to some of the other members on the team, this isn't an exaggeration!) so may 2024 be much much better for everyone!

I'm officially over my burnout, and I've been working on Infinite Stars like crazy. (Just today we coded 10.5K words, or an entire length of Episode 1 on the live stream. That's roughly ¼ of the content that we're planning to add to the next public release.)

I've also officially added Lindi and Sonia's sprites to the game, and some new backgrounds. I still have several more backgrounds and sprites that need adding, and we're tackling them as we cruise through the script, adding them as we need them.

Greetings restauranters,

It was quiet for some time, but our Restaurant Builder is alive and well. We are working hard on the game without slowing down! We'll have some important news to share with you soon, but first, let's catch up on some current events.

As you have seen Restaurant Builder was all about building, but we thought it was not enough. Restaurants always feature hungry clients and food. We have decided to add that to our game.
