Cult of the Lamb - Massive_CM
Sins of the Flesh Update.

JANUARY 16TH

You asked for it.

In its biggest and most wicked content update yet, the Cult’s tendrils extend even further with a blasphemous beneficence of quests, features, improvements and a deliciously evil new resource that rewards those leaders prepared to yield to the Sins of the Flesh.

Sins and Disciples 🐍
New progression systems add more depth and complexity to managing the Cult of the Lamb. By following the sinful path, your followers will delight in gluttonous rituals, vain buildings, and wrathful doctrines. Invite your most loyal Followers to the inner circle of Disciples, a revamped levelling system of Follower progression.

Better Cult Life 🧹
Shiny poop, baneful brooms, and bigger, better buildings improve busy Cult life. Shiny poops have special effects, like yielding fruitful crops and adding XP to your broom. Levelling up your broom will make chores faster and more effective. To improve automation, there’s also a new tier for the Janitor Station and the Storage Structures so your Followers will take better care of themselves.

LAMB WITH A GUN 🔫
Blast heretics away with the new Blunderbuss weapon. When loaded, it fires big damage in close quarters to bring a new combat playstyle for your crusades. If you charge it up even more with a heavy attack, you can aim to snipe enemies from long range.

Leshy in a Maid Dress??? 👗
Each of your cultists can flaunt their Follower fashion at the new Tailor building! Once unlocked, each cultist can wear their own outfit, with 23 different styles to choose from. But your Cult is getting even more unique. When two Followers love each other very much, they might find an egg. Nurture the egg for it to hatch, then care for the offspring until they're ready to pledge allegiance to your Cult!

Your presence pleases the Lamb.

The Crimson Maid - GrimTalin SRL
Happy New Year, dear adventure fans! May 2024 be a peaceful and productive year for you and may you find plenty of time to play the games that bring you most joy!

This week we'd like to talk about one of our core pillars: meaningful exploration. To put it shortly, we want you to have plenty of reasons to explore the mansion and its surroundings, without wasting your time. There is optional content, such as collectibles and optional puzzles, that you can choose if you want to engage with. But more importantly, we want it to make it easier for you to progress through the game. And when you do decide to dive deeper into the lore, we try to give relevant pieces of information and stay away from fluff text as much as possible. Below are some of the ways we use to achieve this.

Something new about a character
There are plenty of objects you can inspect in the game, as any adventure game has. But one of our first goals in this game is to not make something interactable just for the sake of it, so you can read something along the lines "What a lovely painting!" We want you to inspect objects to learn new things, relevant info about the Rosenthal family or Irina, their present or their past, about Marius, his memories and what defines him as a person. Another rule we have is to keep the amount of objects you can inspect high enough to make the world feel rich and lived in, but low enough to not overwhelm the players, making them lose interest in exploring.

Interactions at a glance
Get close enough to an object you can interact with and an icon appears over it. Get even closer and roughly look in the direction of the object and the icon scales up, while a label indicates the type of interaction. Click or press the interact button to perform the action: inspect, pick, read, talk or interact - this last one is for a more complex interaction, for example for puzzles, placing items, triggering something etc.

We implemented this intuitive system to make it easier for you to spot important objects when you explore and to process at a glance the actions you can perform. We didn't want you to pixel hunt that one item or interaction needed to progress, but to highlight things as soon as you get close enough. Furthermore, important objects that you need to interact with to progress the story are marked with an easy to spot red exclamation mark, similar to the important dialogue topics.

Always with a clear goal
Sometimes adventure games can be a bit obtuse. What makes sense in the designer's mind isn't necessarily the most intuitive thing. Other times you have to stop playing, only to come back days later not remembering what you were supposed to do. To make it clear at all times what you have to do next, we have an objectives system. The current quest and its goals can be checked at any time. Objectives update constantly depending on your progress.

When you need to bring fresh water to your father, that objective is put on the list. Need to find an empty cup first? That's another objective on the list. Interacted with the well and realized you also need a bucket? Yet another objective on the list. Found the elusive empty cup? We're taking that objective off the list. Completed the well puzzle and now you have a cup of fresh water? The list now displays only one objective: bring the water to your father. This system ensures that you can enjoy playing the game, not become lost and frustrated. We want you to figure out not what to do, but how to do it.

In a future post we'll talk about another of our core pillars - light puzzles. Remember to wishlist and follow the game and check back frequently for more updates on The Crimson Maid!

A Technician's Nightmare - Luzh
I hope this feature helps make the game more fun for those looking for a challenge.

I've made a lot of code additions and modifications. in a short time
And because there is still not enough testing for this feature. If you encounter a bug, you can report it to us at luzh.sgame@gmail.com

Thank you for your support and feedback.
This is my first game and I'm so glad you're interested in my game.

New World: Aeternum - timmyopa

Greetings, Adventurers!

The shadow of Roman tyranny creeps ever closer to consuming Aeternum on January 10 through 23. Banish General Crassus's monstrous captains for new event-specific, daily rewards. Lucanus and Decimus, brothers bound by blood and battle, now transformed to stone by the Curse of Medusa and warped into mythic monsters by the Corruption, will stop at nothing to fulfill their final command. Once feared across many lands as General Crassus’ two most dreadful champions, they continue his legacy with relentless cyclopean brutality.

Players brave enough to tear down the banners of the Republic in Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove can earn Cyclops Statuette Housing Items, up-leveled Named Gear, and more. Join the Development Team for a discussion around these returning world bosses.

REWARD SPOTLIGHT
Triumph over these level 70 vicious brutes for event-specific items like Cyclops Statuettes, the 19th Legion Pickaxe, Lucanus weapons, and Decimus armor. Note that players must deal at least 1000 damage to receive rewards.

CYCLOPS LUCANUS AND DECIMUS STATUETTES

Barbaric tendencies aside, Lucanus and Decimus are very intelligent creatures. Admire their fierce brilliance at your leisure with these two new Housing Items. Blood-red, searing beam blast not included.

19TH LEGION PICKAXE

Bring the might of Rome down upon Mining Nodes throughout Aeternum. This pickaxe was used by Corrupted members of the 19th Legion to mine ore for the construction of the statue honoring General Crassus. Will you mine in pursuit of public good, profit, or something far more sinister?

DECIMUS AND LUCANUS WEAPONS AND ARMOR SET

An act of violence forged into a weapon, mysterious dark metal welded into armor, and gauntlets crafted to bear the strength of a mythical beast, plus a pair of trousers that bring the entire set together.

DAILY BONUS REWARDS

Players will earn a special cache containing one of the following event-specific pieces of loot after defeating the world bosses (maximum of 3 bonus rewards daily). Players are also guaranteed to receive every reward after defeating them 8 times.
  • Cyclops Lucanus Statuette - Housing Item
  • Cyclops Decimus Statuette - Housing Item
  • 19th Legion Pickaxe - Pickaxe
  • Wrath of Decimus - Great Axe
  • Hoplites Great Blade - Great Sword
  • Sagittar of Lucanus - Bow
  • Vesuvius - Fire Staff
  • Galea of Lucanus - Medium Helm
  • Cuirass of Decimus - Heavy Chest Armor
  • Fists of Decimus - Heavy Gauntlets
  • Braccae of Lucanus - Medium Legwear
  • Hobnailed Boots of Lucanus - Medium Boots
Players will also get:
  • 1 Obsidian Gypsum
  • 15 Dark Matter
Daily rewards reset at 5 AM local time. For example, if a player grabs one special cache at 4:58 AM, they’ll be able to earn another at 5:01 AM.

STANDARD REWARDS

Players will receive one of the following rewards each time they fell Lucanus and Decimus. Unlike daily bonus rewards, players can slay the world boss multiple times in one day for additional rewards.

Each victory rewards players with either:
  • A random weapon or armor piece at their level (90% chance)
  • A special Named item from Brimstone Sands or greater Aeternum (10% chance)
Players will also get some level-appropriate consumables (health, mana, etc.)

Thanks for your support! We’ll see you in Aeternum.
