The newly restyled Phobos website branding now matches the client, and has been built so that it can be updated alongside the client with relative ease in the future. In addition, this rework has allowed us to connect the website to Steam news, and to integrate our Discord teaser channel. Overall, we now have a much more solid base to build upon.

What a year. Thank you, thank you! Well, 2023 is over, and it's the first Monday of 2024. Maybe you made some meaningful New Year's resolutions? I hope you can achieve all of your goals this year!



I've been hard at work on what's next for Endless Monday. A bonus story update for Endless Monday: Dreams and Deadlines! I'm not quite ready to promise anything because I'm juggling a few other responsibilities, but I'm trying to get it released by summer this year. It'll be a free update! Tell your friends. And buy the sequel.



I'm also hoping to make the game available to more players around the world! Currently there are translations in progress for a few new languages. I'll have more to share once the work is closer to being finished.

After the bonus story chapter is done, I'm going to work full time on the next game in the Endless Monday Video Game Universe. I've been prototyping a few ideas, and maybe I'll have something to announce in the second half of 2024. Here's hoping. In this event players can gather Seeds of Tomorrow by playing Casual games between 6-7 January 2024. This cyclical event will occur every 2 months providing a stable income of our new currency. Seeds of Tomorrow (SoT) can be exchanged for both customizable or utility items and unlike Credits they can be traded between the players.

You might have noticed SUR5's very first Blueprint for a Globe of Tomorrow (5 x Seed of Tomorrow + 2 x Sprocket). Currently this subcomponent has no usage, but we plan to expand crafting and recipes greatly in 2024. We are also very proud to show our latest skin: Galactic Murad Skin. This is a long term goal, but luckily you don't have to do this alone!


Long time ago, during the testing of SUR5 we noticed that players who did not find energy generating cards were at significant competitive disadvantage. Gamers were forced to buy (only at the time) Survivor Murad. We knew that the correct solution was to add more starting options, but it required more time to develop and balance.

This came to the invention of "7 card rule" - the first 7 cards in shop (after Survivors) were chosen from the 0-3 energy cost range of, pulling less expensive cards early while pushing powerful win conditions, making the game smoother….

Side effect of that approach was - predictability as the game partially played by itself. Patterns of purchasing 1-2 energy generators, 1 destruction card followed by damage combo that exactly fitted symbols become too obvious. Some cards like Excavator, Carbon Copy or Harvest were not needed at that point, blocking SUR5 from reaching its full potential.

Single point damage cards (Sacrifice, Light it Up, Chemitrail - 0-3 energy range) became a dominant strategy that was not exactly in the spirit of constructing decks. This experiment revealed that unconditional damage cards were not priced correctly and we do not plan on reducing their cost.

We have permanently removed the "7 card rule" from Casual/Brawl Game mode. The feeling of building a deck around a “bizarre”, “suboptimal” or “trash” card was what we were missing the most and we are happy to reintroduce it leading to more satisfying gameplay.

We can't wait to see how SUR5 will develop in 2024 and we hope you will stay with us to see it's glory!
