First of all, the Myth of Empires development team would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
We recently debuted the “Raft” vehicle that will be sailing into the world of Myth of Empires in the Version 1.0 release. Today, we are going to focus on something entirely new to MoE: flight!
Let’s start with the Giant Sky Lantern. This vehicle will allow players to move through the air, and also provides some defensive and offensive capabilities. Players will be able to place small pieces of furniture and even small ballistas on the platform beneath the lantern. The Giant Sky Lantern works like a hot air balloon, with lift provided by a flame on the central platform. It can also move forward and turn with the help of a power cage. To use the Giant Sky Lantern, simply place a tamed fox or rabbit within the power cage, and make sure they are well-fed.
The Giant Sky Lantern, along with the recently-announced Raft, are but two of the new vehicles offered in Version 1.0 that players will have at their disposal to traverse the ever-expanding world of Myth of Empires. Later, larger upgraded vehicles will be added to meet more comprehensive construction needs.
Next up, we have the Kite Launcher. True to its name, it is a large ballista that launches kites. These kites are different from the gliders we showed off in the Version 1.0 trailer. While gliders allow players to control their flight, these kites cannot change direction. Yet they also have their advantages. For instance, it is much easier to take flight using a kite launcher as opposed to a glider. Their flight distance can also be increased by launching them from greater heights. Kites can be equipped with a small number of items and then launched unmanned to achieve basic supply delivery objectives, or players can hang from them to move around the map more quickly. Players will also be able to launch arrows from the kite, as well as disengage from it mid-flight and descend to the ground using their own gliders, making them great for sneak attacks and reconnaissance.
Together, the Giant Sky Lantern, Kite Launcher, and hang glider mark a new era in Myth of Empires, one in which players will take to the skies to expand their dominance.
In addition, we’d also like to answer some of the questions that players have been asking us about Version 1.0.
1. Server interoperability. Myth of Empires Version 1.0 will have two server groups: Classic Era Servers and New Era Servers. Classic Era Servers cover servers that already exist. The data on these will not be deleted. Servers with the new map will be added to this server group, and will be interoperable with the old servers. New Era Servers will feature all brand-new servers featuring the old map, as well as new servers featuring the new map, which will be interoperable with one another. Classic Era Servers and New Era Servers are not interoperable (see the figure below). These changes will all be implemented upon the Version 1.0 release.
2. Counties and Prefectures. After the servers are adjusted, the number of counties in a single prefecture will be expanded from the original 16. 3. Proficiency. Players will be able to accumulate reserve Proficiency EXP from the game lobby. 4. Guild Adjustments. Guild member limits, alliance limits, and the number of counties conquerable by a single guild have all been adjusted. 5. New Ways to Collect Resources. New structures similar to the “Mining Hut” will be released to cover even more types of resources. 6. “PVP Areas” Within PVE Servers. Resource points in the main world have been restored, and PVP areas delineated. 7. Smoother Leveling. The effects of titles and proficiencies on a player’s combat power have been optimized to make leveling progress smoother.
The development team will continue answering frequently asked questions in future v1.0 content announcements.

Dec. 28 (Thu) Server Patch

2. Server Patch Details - The ‘Resurrected Champion of God’ monster that randomly appears after you enchant memories in Constellation of Time will be temporarily removed so that it does not appear. ※ As this temporary measure is being implemented as part of our work to stabilize the server, the measure will be lifted once we have resolved the relevant issue.

Please be advised that players may experience temporary disconnections while the patch is underway.
We will always strive to maintain the quality and reliability of our services.
We have been hard at work fixing existing bugs and wrapping up a new experience for Petrified. As we approach v1.0 we are excited to outline a few major changes that we believe will bring a lot to the game.
Game objective changes: previously the objective for hunters was to try to defeat the ghost simply by using different flashlights and powerups to drain the ghost of its life force. This yielded a type of gameplay that was not the goal -- a frenzy at the center of the map where everyone just tried to kill the ghost without exploring or doing anything else. Because of this, the gameplay has been changed so that the object for the hunters is to survive long enough to solve puzzles and obtain a key to escape their imprisonment. The flashlights will no longer deal damage to the ghost but instead will impair the ghost in some way. The objective for the ghost will remain the same.
Map changes: through development and testing we have found our first map to be a bit...bulky. Both in the way we created it technically as well as it's size in game. Because of this we are doing a revamp of the haunted house map so the sizing makes more sense and so it doesn't take up as much space on disk.
New map: we have worked on a design for a second map -- a haunted school. We don't want to give too much detail on this map...but we are very excited to see how players like it.
We don't have a set release date for v1.0 but we are making great progress and will post updates as we get closer to release. Thank you!
