M.A.S.S. Builder - V-DGT


Welcome back to another WIP post, this week introducing a new Bullet Shooter that is on another spectrum of shooters. Please welcome the Pile Bunker!



PIle Bunker is a MELEE Bullet Shooter, having one chargeable bullet, you. This is a weapon that took a long time to get it to work, being vastly different from other shooters, requiring us weeks to design, craft, and finding solutions for what we wanted with it. What you're seeing is the final design of Pile Bunker, a weapon that launches you into enemies.



The Pile Bunker can be charged for higher distance, piercing enemies, and a really high extra damage multiplier. It will damage any enemies within its path and players can instantly dash to cancel out of the end part.



While this might sound like a really good melee weapon that allow players to move through the battlefield quickly and uses Piercing to calculate damage instead, Pile Bunker will need to reload after every usage. No amount of MAG.Load will be able to increase its ammo amount.



Well then, why don't we make it a melee weapon instead? Well, the design philosophy of melee weapons is to have combo attacks and a single-attack weapon wouldn't fit well within that category. In our minds, we also think that Pile Bunkers would thematically fit better with shooters, being a weapon that winds up, pierce, and launches a steel needle into enemies and retracting them on reload.



Wait, that design we just mentioned was different than what we're showing right? It doesn't drag enemies along the trajectory and burst damage out at the end at all? You are correct in your observation. We tried staying as true to the name as possible at first but with our enemies design that doesn't allow some of them to be dragged along, that design was not able to feel good. Thus, we tinkered it in a way that allows Pile Bunker to just pierce through upon charging, and strike quickly when not charged.



With this design, players can also canonically think of it as other piercing blade, piercing lance, or anything that fits their design. This gif above shows how we've attached accessories onto the needle part and we can't wait to see how you all utilize and create something from it!

Outside the Blocks - Michał
Hello to all the fans of building, modeling, and creating!

In this brief Steam post, I'd like to extend my best wishes to you for the upcoming New Year. I hope that 2024 will be the year in which you bring your incredible ideas to life in Outside the Blocks! (Honestly, I wish the same for myself even more :D).



Unfortunately, I haven't had much time for the project lately. Since September, I've been wrapping up two other commercial projects—a comic book and a city-builder game. It's been challenging to find time and energy for programming. I still have a few demanding weeks ahead, but I hope to soon dedicate more attention to Outside the Blocks. :(

All my efforts are currently focused on implementing the new interface. I've already accomplished quite a bit (you can now rotate the option-wheels!), but, unfortunately, there's still a lot of work ahead.

Skies above the Great War - Puntigames
As promised, the brand new and extensive demo of Skies above the Great war is online just in time for the holidays.
It contains the full game, which will also be online in the Early Access version from January 11th, except that the campaign is limited in time.

  • Saves are now stored in individual SteamID folders to prevent cross contamination when playing on a device with multiple Steam accounts.
  • The resolution array in the main menu now updates correctly depending on the chosen aspect ratio. Resolution settings require further testing.

Ashes of War - Cat's Tooth Studio
It was high time to post a content update on Steam (as most end up in the discord for preview).

You've got a couple new scenes, CGs and 3D animations. Nothing major, but a bit more content for new and old players alike.

The english spelling and grammar should be quite solid until the mid-game now.

The CG gallery is still broken, it'll be fixed in a january update.

Here is the latest DEMO file updates and brand new content for you to enjoy!

UPDATE PATCH NOTES:

- Fixed crash that would only occur when holding any number of objects during Level 1-5's win screen.

- Modified Studart's running sprites to have better posing.

- Studart's special move has been modified into a melee/wand attack.

- Telekinesis throw charge has been sped up in order to match the gameplay flow.

- Fixed unintended issue with "Crouch Jump" animations not playing.

- Myah has been given a new kicking move, she can now glide in the air for a short amount of time.

- Jump Buffering has been implemented into the player code.

- Several SFX have been updated.

- Fixed bug where thrown objects would slide through a downward slope.

- Manaship boss has been given indicator effects for the counterattack bomb and capless diving.

- Manaship boss's hit boxes have been altered.

- Manaship boss's attacks were altered to make the fight easier.

- An oversight with the multiplayer object being able to move during a cutscene has been fixed.

- Fixed an error that would occur whenever an unknown input is pressed in the controller settings menu.

- Fixed a small bug where telekinesis controls would still be active during the level win screen.

- Guardon/Guarlong enemy behaviors were altered to make them slightly easier to deal with.

- You no longer have to wait in order to activate Myah's special, you can now simply let go of the special buttons to rocket boost.

- When playing level 1-1 for the first time, you will be obligated to play as Loppy, this change was made to keep the DEMO in line with how the final game will play out, with Loppy being the first character you play as.

- Loppy can now slide down slopes more naturally while using her Special Move.

- Added sound effect for health filling.

- Spitzie enemies are now forbidden from spitting when facing a wall.

- ... And last but not least, Level 2-1 has been added, explore a piece of a vast sea-based planet where alien creatures come to relax and bask in the sultry heat of the sun!

Hello gamers!
The 0.09 version of Goblin Burrow Manager is now out! Here is the list of new features:

Goblin Paladin

When you need someone to cast more advanced spells, he is your guy. He likes long walks on the beach and a good book with hot coco.

This is the final goblin, which you can acquire by evolving a champion's new born. He will be required in the new Sacrificial Chamber to cast spells on your slaves.

Rooms relocation

This feature will let you move the rooms around without the need to destroy and rebuild a room. It will cost however. And the cost is based on the distance that you move it by, but I limited it so the max you will pay is the cost of the room that is being moved + small %.

New characters

Two new special characters. Until now all the special characters were given by progressing the story, but these two can be acquired by using some of the new features I added. So keep using them.

New Sacrificial Chambers for the magic spells and Blow Job room

New Room! This one will let you sacrifice your goblins in order to successfully cast the spells. Currently the spells are: gender swap (self explanatory) and heal; this one will heal your character from any diseases and infertilities.
Side note; the chances of successful spell casting will depend on your sacrifice. One goblin will give you 1% chances, one shaman is 2%, hob is 3% and so on. Just make sure to place a paladin on the side to cast a spell.

Blow Job Room - It has the same functionality as the Glory Hole room but it is also increasing your slaves obedience.

Other

  • Requests to scout a desired race slaves
In the requests panel you can now use your reputation to gather specific slaves. It is required to unlock their race in the Upgrades panel beforehand.

  • More Goblinettes
There should be more variations for the Goblinettes slaves.

  • New story
Story continuation, where the goblin lord is ordering you to prepare soldiers for a village siege.

  • Fairy mini game update
I am trying to fix some bugs in this mini game and add more options.

  • More functionality to the character view window
It is now possible to set a slave as favorite and search for the character in the scene.

  • Favorite slave near death notification
By setting a slave as favorite, you will receive a notification about their low health with the option to find them in the scene.

  • Boob Bags!
