We've just released a new patch that activates this year's Christmas event.
This new event brings back the Christmas recipes that were in last year's event, all the Christmas items and decorations, and brings a Christmassy atmosphere to the game.
Since the seasons system is already in place and we want to focus on development for the next update, we've decided not to include the quests from last year's event or add new ones, since that would require forcing it to be winter in the game, which we deem unsuitable.
If you didn't play the event last year, when you start the game during the Christmas event, you will automatically receive new recipes. You will be able to buy the new Christmas items in the mailbox.
And remember that if you place and decorate a Christmas tree, a gift will appear which can be opened from December 25th.
List of Changes
Purchasable Christmas items added to the postbox.
Christmas recipes unlocked.
Quest added to decorate a Christmas tree to receive a gift.
NPCs will appear in Christmas clothing and the bar will appear decorated for Christmas.
Christmas music theme added to game.
Fixed a bug that caused the rowdy emote to show underneath tables.
The number of hits required to mine lodes has been reduced.
Fixed a bug that occurred when trying to write custom names for dishes.
Now butterflies don’t appear when it rains.
Fixed a bug that could cause a woodpecker to show over a barn.
Fixed a bug that caused the grid not to show correctly when planting seeds or using field tools when playing the game with a controller.
Magic never stands still; it is constantly changing, just like art. Last time, we wrote about how spells work in W.A.N.D. Project, or about spellcrafting as a whole. However, we know that the mechanical part of this system is as important as the visual representation. It has to be spectacular; we are talking about magic!
Spellcrafting is changing!
In the demo version, we only presented the placeholder version. This is not something we will deliver in the final product. In this version, we focused on functionality and wanted the board to work well and show what spellcrafting is all about.
We are preparing a real firecracker for you when it comes to the visual presentation of the entire W.A.N.D. Project. At this point, we are refining the idea to show the creation of spells in the most exciting way possible. Below, you will find the evolution of the board, but these are not the final versions, it’s still Work-In-Progress.
As you can see, we are planning a strong departure from what is visible in the demo. And this is definitely not the end; it is just a concept sample! We assure you that spellcrafting will be truly magical to encourage you to have fun. We aim to achieve a magical effect in a sci-fi setting.
Those are only some of the things that will change in W.A.N.D. Project, so follow us for more! If you have any questions, please contact us on Discord.
