Your support over the years has enabled us to keep working on X4, improving it and creating a game that is very special to us, as it is to many of you. Our previous four expansions have enlarged the X4 sandbox universe and drawn your interest with new factions, ships and storylines. Today we would like to give you a first look at our next, somewhat unusual, expansion for X4.

While the next expansion is strikingly different from its predecessors, one thing remains the same: a substantial free update for X4: Foundations will be released at the same time as the expansion. Update 7.00 will be huge, and the changelog is likely to break our own records once again... In spring 2024, we will be able to go into more detail about 7.00 and, of course, give you access to the public beta for it, as you have come to expect from us.

In response to your feedback we've made further adjustments to the contract system. We aren't done tinkering with it - this is part of what Early Access is about - so we look forward to hearing your impressions!

  • Contract tiers can only be raised after 3 days of performance data. Raising more than one tier requires 5 days.
  • A penalty is assessed when downgrading a contract. $250 per tier downgrade, plus an additional penalty depending on how new the contract was. (The longer running a contract, the less the penalty.)
  • If performance averages below 50% for three consecutive days, the tier will be lowered by two and penalty withdrawn.

Also:

  • Customer performance is now updated at midnight. Payments for captive service are now received before paying shop crew wages. Fixed -1 shop crew. (RR-197)
  • Connelly and Walker no longer share storage between the camps. This change will cause existing saves to start with 0 logs/pulpwood in storage in these camps, but going forward they will maintain a higher - ahem - backlog of logs. (RR-208)
  • Fixed map icons with incorrect scale. (RR-207)
  • Fixed reputation not updating due to unexpected data. (RR-201)
  • Fixed MU logic not using correct locomotive as its target. (RR-209)
  • Lean Left/Right bindings are now used by the overhead camera rotation, and their orientation has been fixed. (RR-204, RR-205)

Hello everyone, us again. We know you can not get enough of our updates so have another one. A lot of fixes, improvements and return of the holiday features check it out and have lovely happy Holidays!




  • Fixed the issue where weapon attachments would disappear if equipped directly from chests.
  • Fixed the issue where glue would loose durability when used for crafting.
  • Fixed the issue where serviced vehicles sometime appeared at random locations around outposts.
  • Fixed the issue where you could place attachments on improvised flamethrower.
  • Fixed the issue where characters made before 0.95 could not be renamed.
  • Fixed some wrong descriptions.
  • Fixed the issue where the incorrect number of elements allowed on flag was shown when inviting a new squad member.
  • Fixed the issue where squad emblems were not visible in drone mode.
  • Fixed the issue where abandoned bunker switch boards would not detect attached fuses properly.
  • Fixed the issue where car batteries bought at traders could not be fully charged.
  • Potential fix for puppets spawning immediately next to players when they should not.
  • Fixed the issue where expiration time on keycards in chests would sometimes be incorrect.


  • Improved the ragdoll effect on puppet hit.
  • Added Christmas tree recipe.
  • Enabled Christmas ornaments.
  • Increased gunpowder usage when crafting Improvised mines.
  • Removed coffee cup from recipes requiring cans.
  • Regular puppets will no longer spawn on locations when a horde is activated.
  • Suicide puppets will no longer immediately received forced stimuli to player location on horde activation.
  • Adjusted damage calculations for vehicle collisions.
  • Added new Christmas present packages.
  • Buffed melee damage dealt to puppets.


  • Added server setting disable timed gifts to disable Christmas presents.
  • Setting_EncounterGlobalZoneCooldownMultiplier
    After the encounter ends it starts global cooldown until the the new encounter can appear in that zone. If it happens in the MTZ encounter and cooldown is set, that cooldown is not influencing HTZ and LTZ. This multiplier is added to based number.

    In most cases base values are like this:

    • HTZ - 300.00 - 600.00
    • MTZ - 0.00 - 0.00
    • LTZ - 0.00 - 0.00



As is tradition, make sure you have Christmas tree up in your base or else Santa will not come along to leave presents.
Fractured Online - dynamight_studios
Hi all,

we have another bugfix patch coming today while Endgame Changer is entering testing, as explained on our Discord server a couple days ago. We have addressed some of the most critical issues in the game.

Critical

  • Fixed 2 different item dupe issues. These bugs only allowed for limited duping (only for some specific items and only in limited quantity). Still very critical.
  • Governors can no longer delete player houses inside of their city. Some thought this was intended, but it obviously wasn't, since governors aren't even allowed to delete claimed land parcels - only vacant ones. A proper eviction system will be implemented in the future.
  • The portion of the Volcano of Terra that wasn't accessible (because it was full of "invisible walls") is fixed.
  • Players going stealth are now always detected by other players nearby - they no longer have to be all Aggressive.
  • It is no longer possible to cast Bramble Wall and Bone Barrage if the wall would end up inside of a land parcel. This exploit (anyway punished by GMs) was used by Evil players to push AFK players outside of their parcels to kill them.
  • It is no longer possile to trade items with another player if the latter would end up being too overweight (above the 200% limit).
  • Carrying an empty cart no longer gives a speed bonus when the person carrying it is overweight. This exploit was used to move much faster than intended when overweight.
  • Fixed an issue that could make classic Legend Altars (those of Summonable Legends) non-functional.
  • Players can no longer initiate trade requests when they are KO, when they are in combat, and when the counterpart is in combat. This prevents players from using trade requests to annoy their opponents in PvP.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players who didn't own a cart to friend the cart to another player, which would then steal it.
  • Catapults can no longer be placed and used inside of the attacker's siege tent.

Others

  • Jotunns chest events now contain a nice mix of monsters instead of having always multiple copies of the same Jotunn.
  • Co-owners can invite friends to a land parcel.
  • Fixed a dirt road that was preveting players from building a city wall.
  • Starting to lockpick a chest removes the Monster Immunity buff that is given when standing up after being KO.
  • Players can no longer destroy items in their inventory when KO.
  • Summonable and Ultimate legends are now all resistant to the Shocked status effect.

Since the first build, we saw a great interest regarding the compatibility with the Steam Deck and that is why, even though the game was already playable from the start, we wanted to take a step forward and make some improvements in terms of accessibility and readability so it was more convenient when playing the game on the go.

We are pleased to announce that Endless Dungeon has been Verified on Steam Deck Compatibility.



Small detail but this is our first game at Amplitude Studios that is Verified on Steam Deck 👏

We are aware that with the last update, some bugs slipped through our attention, and many of you have brought them to our notice. We greatly appreciate the involvement of our community in the success of Ship of Fools, and we are very grateful for your support and feedback.

Since we all want to sail in the same direction and value the quality of our game, we have listened to you and put in all our efforts to deliver a quick update that addresses the following bugs:

Resolved Issues

Fixed softlock caused by invisible / invincible ennemies
  • Bullies going under water and never coming back up causing the encounter to never end.
  • During an online game, some Slurg become invincible and invisible for one of the two players making it impossible to complete the encounter.


We are all gamers as well, and we understand that a bug can quickly diminish the joy of playing a game. That's why we are constantly doing our best to try to eliminate them. If you encounter any problems, you can contact us on our Discord server.

As the outstanding medieval world of Nested Lands unravels under our development, we're excited to share the latest news with you!

In search of unique visuals

Pursuing visual distinction, our team is deeply engaged in crafting concept art for NPCs, breathing life into villagers, as well as challenging foes like the Mad Occultists. In our early sketches, we explore the most appropriate vision for each character. The unique personalities of each of them begin to emerge - be it the hardworking residents or the insidious heretics.



To breathe life into the devastated lands, we’ve already designed over 60 unique items. Each thoroughly crafted piece tells a tale, immersing you in the brutal atmosphere of the medieval world.

Filling in the North Plains

The North Plains, one of the four islands of Norovellir, is developing with careful attention to detail. The map is adorned with geographical elements such as rivers and woods, and points of interest, creating a vast and dynamic landscape for exploration.

Behind the scenes, we're hard at work sculpting the narrative. Quests are taking shape, intertwined with compelling NPC storylines. Each character has their own name, origin, and purpose. Also, tutorials are in the making to guide you through the complexities of the post-plague world and seamlessly immerse you in the story of Norovellir. Get ready to uncover tales that shape the very fabric of Nested Lands!



Bringing life to gameplay

In Nested Lands, NPCs are not mere bystanders. Witness enemies adapting to the ebb and flow of battle as they tactically retreat when defeated.

Environmental realism is enhanced, with trees and stones becoming breakable. Equip the right tools and gather essential resources like wood and rocks for your survival journey.
