Christmas Event
Event Time:
  • 00:00 Dec 24 - 00:00 Jan 4 UTC
Event Details:
  • All loot boxes in the map will appear as a special ‘Christmas gift’
  • Most of the region will have higher possibilities to snow
  • There will be snowman located besides the road in the map, and you can get throwable item snow ball from it.
  • Traders at the Rebel Camp will have Christmas event related items: snowballs, christmas trees, christmas cake recepies, christmas pudding recepies.
  • While looting in the map, Santa Clause will have a possibility to show up around your character. Use Snowball to hit him 5 times can stun him and he will drop the gift bag. Including: Christmas tree blue print, various Christmas recepiecs, Christmas bells, Christmas socks, Christmas ribbons and stars etc.
  • Open future supplies will have a possibility to give you Christmas clothes, Christmas sleeping bags etc. Higher supply runs will have higher possibilties to give you christmas items.
  • Christmas Tree Blue Print: use it in the construction bench
  • Christmas cake and pudding recepies: use them at the kitchen counter

  • Switched Anti-Cheat system to EAC
  • Added ‘NEW’ lable in the server list, and optimized the default order of the servers

Optimizations
  • Lowered the imperial helicopter and tank NPC’s detection range and attack range
  • While in the workbench’s interface, press B will not switch to inventory interface but close the workbench interface directly
  • Optimized some models and scenes to increase server performance
  • Deleted Bite RES and combined it to the Phy RES

Bugs Fixed
  • Place or demolish signs will no longer give character exp.
  • "Woodpecker" AA Rocket Launcher can not have a lock on the imperial helicopter
  • "Infiltrator" Missile Launcher can not lock on the imperial tank
  • Imperial helicopters are hard to damage when they are close to walls
  • Abnormal interface when you set the resolution under 5120*1440 in full screen
  • Some wrong effects under DX12 mode
  • NPCs will get stuck in terrains and constructions during the supply receive
  • Tungsten AP Shell causing too low damage on constructions
  • Sprinklers do not function properly while attached to large water tank
  • Known stuck points on the map

Era of Combat: Boxing - ben
- Networking rehash - this isn't obvious right away but took 98% of the time. It allows faster development moving forward

- Faster disconnection detection with options to return to home gym after disconnect using controller button press - there still might be instances of getting stranded, so if you find them, drop me a note with the context and I'll patch it up and get it back to you

- Voice chat for AppLab and in crossplay matches - you need to enable it in game AND, on your Quest2/3 headset you MUST enable you mic either during game installation or by going to the app settings in your Quest hardware menu and toggling to ON. Meta is pretty strict about this and devs cannot force it on from in game. It's a good idea really, but means a bit more work for you.

- Regional lobbies for crossplay: Quest players can now select to use the best region based on ping when hosting. NOTE: when a player is trying to join your lobby, they will NOT see it unless they select the same region as you list your lobby in. This will drastically improve the ping for AppLab players in the same region (IE Japan).

- Quickmatch and Invite a friend options have been removed from AppLab. I found that wireless connectivity issues plaguing the Quest2 really interfered with these modes. I'll probably add them back in down the road, but functionally, lobbies seemed to be more popular anyway (and much more stable).

Hey Islanders,

Due to the holiday season we will not be providing a devblog over the new year. However, in the spirit of moving forward with presentable content, we are releasing a new patch that will be delivered straight to evrima as opposed to the standard hordetesting branch. The inclusion of herrerasaurus and dilophosaurus has come early, however there are certain quirks both visually and mechanically for each of them that will be adjusted after the holidays. Continue using the bug report functionality regardless, as we will continue to refine content as much as possible in the coming days before holiday break. I hope you find the new additions to the roster as fun as we do.
