This is very likely to be the final update to the optional beta before we set it live later this week, unless there’s something that needs urgent fixing. Please test if you have some time - and thank you to everyone who’s been doing that over the last few weeks!
A bunch of fixes for some achievement issues that have arisen in testing, and a few other bits and bobs. The achievements should now all be localised for all of our supported languages on Steam, and a Win32 build is now included.
Version 0.320031 Patch Notes
Fixed the I Love Sashimi achievement - turns out this one was just properly glitched
Fixed No Entry and The Way Is Shut achievements (bonus point to the first person who tells me the reference)
No Entry now stops checking once it has been failed, less nagging
The Free Willis achievement will now say the correct one has succeeded / failed
Stopped At Arm's Length achievement always succeeding
Moved an underground food item in 4.1 preventing all food being gathered (relevant for Toad In The Hole achievement)
Separation Of Duties achievement now checks the ladybird health to make sure it escaped from damage and was not just leaving with an aphid
Rearranged some other achievement stuff
Fixed a movement problem for ereptor colonies in a loaded custom game in Imprisoned
Fixed an issue on Imprisoned where rising / falling water notifications were the wrong way round if saved on the highest or lowest water point
Fixed an issue on Imprisoned where colonies hiding would not happen on the lowest water level when water is about to rise
Fixed a rare simultaneous defeat & victory situation in freeplay
Fixed dwarf salamanders in 4.1 not being properly eaten by the bullfrog
This update fixes newly reported bugs, adds some QoL features and introduces manual fertilization!
Shoutout to Alexander for the detailed bug report.
Happy holidays and best wishes for 2024!

Today's update coincides with the release of our first DLC for Supreme Ruler 2030. You can now purchase Supreme Ruler The Great War Remastered. It is available as both a DLC and a stand alone version. When you purchase one of them, you get both added to your library. For those who missed this announcement video, here's a link to our YouTube channel;
This update has a number of UI and quality of life fixes. We've also been continuing to clean up the game data to make region starting conditions and ongoing events more realistic. A focus was put on multiplayer testing in the last few weeks and a few different fixes are in this update and hopefully resolve the remaining multiplayer issues. In terms of content changes, most of them related to supporting the earlier eras so might not be immediately visible such as the different trains for the different eras.
We've also done some work to expand our game translations. The game can now be played in Portuguese. Once we've completed all our testing and confirmed we haven't missed any of the files that need translating we'll add the tag of official support on Steam, but users can already check it out. Please let us know if you find any text that's still in English.
We hope everyone continues to enjoy the game and the new DLC content. Watch for future announcements for what our next DLC will include. Please take a few minutes to leave a Steam review for the game.

This Bonus level will drop randomly as a reward from chests, and a brick oven cannon will pitch rocks to you that you can hit back to flying targets for Violence rewards. ** New Weapon: Divine Sword - When stabbing with this sword, champions can press trigger to use their Divine Juice and steal a bit of life from an enemy. ** See Custom Character Names from Other Players - With the Brawns Age Update we introduced the ability to give each champion and minion a custom name and begin tracking their individual kill counts and other stats. Now when you attack other player realms, those custom names will come through above the health bar of enemy NPCs.

Since the official release back in October, Stardock has released two major updates and announced an Expansion Pass that grants users to the first year of DLCs and Expansions.
v2.2 Ethnology Update:
Dubbed “The Ethnology Update”, this new version focuses on making different civilizations feel more distinct and unique in both cultural and biological ways.
“Galactic Civilizations has always had to walk the fine line between being an open-universe space sandbox game and a narrative driven space strategy game,” said Brad Wardell, Creative Director at Stardock. “The Ethnology update looks at the different biological and cultural traits of different civilizations and makes available unique planetary improvements, starships, events, etc. For instance, what humans would want to do with their worlds is a very different thing than say a race of sentient crystals.”
Because the Ethnology system works based on civilization traits it means that custom civilizations that have these traits will automatically inherit the unique abilities and planet upgrades making the universe more alive.
The new version also includes:
Revamped UI: Intuitive and Player-Friendly. Responding to valuable player feedback, the update introduces a major UI overhaul. The new main screen UI and Fleet Manager make fleet management more intuitive, enhancing the overall user experience and strategic decision-making.
Custom Civilizations in Multiplayer. The update introduces the ability to use custom civilizations in multiplayer modes, adding a new layer of strategy and personalization to online gameplay.
New Weapon and Defense Components. Ship designers can look forward to an array of new weapon and defense components, allowing for more intricate and interesting ship designs.
Lore-Rich Technology Descriptions. Long descriptions for technologies now provide players with the lore behind each advancement, enriching the game's narrative depth.
New Planet Biomes. Players can now encounter dozens of new biomes across different planet classes, making worlds feel more unique and interesting.
Updated Graphics Engine. The update features an updated graphics engine with a new light source system, offering a substantial visual upgrade over previous editions.
Improved Localization. Localization improvements, especially for Chinese, Russian, German, and French players, ensuring players from around the world can play the version in their native language.
v2.1 Genesis Update:
Many of the updates in v2.1 have been inspired by their invaluable suggestions across forums, Discord, Reddit, and more,” said Wardell.
Steam Workshop integration for Steam users
A new Mod Manager for easier mod navigation
An improved tutorial for newcomers
22 minutes of additional music to enrich gameplay
Enhanced military starbase zone enforcement
Expanded support for various non-English languages
A variety of new events, AI improvements, and much more
