As the year is coming to a close, development has continued with Barricade. This time I put some focus into optimizing and improving the AI, updating to Godot's 3.5 NavServer for path finding, and fixing bugs (while probably creating a load of new ones).
All this was done in order to pave the path for new enemies to be added to the game. I knew the code the original AI was designed with wasn't going to hold up for release, and if I added more enemies it would have meant even more refactors later.
More Settings Options
When it comes to settings, you can never have too many. I've been on the lookout for more settings to add to the game and I'm open to suggestions.
I've added a FOV slider, as an FPS player myself this should be a staple for any FPS game. I've also added a Disable UI option for players who want to take cinematic screenshots and videos. (Or for you masochists that may enjoy the game this way).

This is the last TWitR for the year, and what a year it has been! This tradition took a hiatus and changed twice, every game update came with new ups and downs, but no matter what the community stayed strong and created some amazing moments many of us won't forget. From the entire team here at Evil Mojo, we thank you for your passion and playership this year, as well as all the support you've shown us as we continue to work to make Paladins the best it can be. The patch 1.1 for Paranoid is live and ready for download. We managed to fix many technical errors that you reported in recent days.

This is a larger update than normal, with a number of substantial changes:
Thematic update We've made the map more reactive to how you play, with the choices you make affecting the environment and your passengers more, and we've reworked the backstory and mechanics around these
Random map generation We can't be the only ones tired of playing the same scenarios over and over, so we have added a map generator. This will eventually support an Endless mode for free play, but for now it is only enabled in the new challenge mode
Challenge mode This new mode gives you a finite amount of time on a fixed map to transport as many people as possible. There a high score board for the competitive, and you can even link your game with your Discord account to "claim" your score in the #highscores channel on our Discord!
There is a lot more about these changes on our blog if you are interested. Next month we will be participating in Steam's Capitalism and Economy Fest, so we'd really appreciate any feedback you may have on how we can polish the build ready for that
