Welcome to the Frostbite Event in Dark Table CCG!



The Frostbite Event runs from now until Feb 4th. During that time you can receive presents, check out the new bundle, and try the new matchmaking features. The entire theme of the game has a winter touch during the event.

Frostbite Event Features:

- Play games to get presents and free cards. Each game earns you 2x of a random card. Play with friends or in Matchmaking to earn these presents.

- Check out the Frostbite Bundle with animated Krampus playmat in the Store Seasonal section. This bundle will lock after the event, so use your gems and secure it now.


- We also have a New Matchmaking System that sends messages to Discord to get more players to join open games in Matchmaking. So be sure to join the discord as well if you want to see when players are looking for games.

- Of course we added Additional Bug Fixes and Performance Gains as well, as those will be ongoing.

Let us know any suggestions and feedback you have, our next major items on the feature list are guided tutorials and bot matches. Hopefully have that in the next month or so.

I am just wanting to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Thank you for supporting the game up until this point, I cannot believe that it has come this far! Sorry to disappoint, but there will be no New Years Themed DLC, but you can be sure to expect something else in January! I am incredibly grateful to all of you and that people are still playing and interested. I will continue to support this game as long as you do as this has become my absolute favorite passion project.



Patch Notes:

General
  • Added a new prop to the main menu that is only presented after the target score is beaten on the Mancala Madness Table.
  • Added new toy effects to the torches on Nasty Knights & Creepy Castle that have been tied to various Missions/Witch Trials.
  • Removed unnecessary post-game stats on certain arcade games.
  • Added missing images to the table creator and customization screens.
  • Increased text reveal speed during cutscenes.
  • Added an option in Gameplay Settings to certain lighting effects. This is an accessibility option for those who have difficulties with flashing lights.

We’ve seen stars at their births, then we’ve followed them as they aged. But what happens when a star has met the end of its lifespan?



Come with us to the stellar graveyard. It’s time to see how dying stars form some of the most beautiful nebulae.

Nebulae Like Never Before
Ever see the good side of a nebula? Neither have we, until now. For several months our team has researched and speculated the distinct shapes of certain nebulae in 360 degrees— not just how they appear from the single direction of Earth. And now those nebulae are available for player research in the Beyond garden!
  • Examine three 3D nebulae in the Beyond Garden: the Helix, Cat’s Eye, and Hourglass Nebulae.
  • Enjoy newly visualized nebulae with unique textures and effects.
  • Speculate along with us! How do you think these nebulae would appear in a 3D space?


Into the Eye of the Nebula
Every nebula is unique, but just how unique can they be? Some nebulae form impossible shapes while others produce less gas than 1% of our Sun’s mass.
  • Follow Semblance’s deep space journey on the Beyond tree and unlock the three new nebulae as their own generators.
  • Boost your Beyond simulation with eight new Enhancement Trait Cards, and learn more about the formation of nebulae along the way.


Astronomical Achievements
There’s always something new to discover in the simulation. This time around, you’ll be able to discover new Beyond achievements, constellations and more.
  • Unlock six new achievements celebrating the unique features of nebulae.
  • Unfold two new constellations with their own achievements: Perseus and Ara.


Additional Features:
  • Performance improvements have been made in all simulations. The most substantial boosts have been made for the Beyond and the Mesozoic Valley tree.
  • Expanded default and custom notation past E200 - now production past E100 will no longer default to scientific notation (you can finally get one quinquinquagintillion entropy).
  • The overall game has a smaller download size.
  • Animations in the Civilization Garden for the Neolithic Age have been improved.
  • Promo Bundles are now always available in the Boost Menu and Darwinium Store. They don’t disappear once you’ve bought one.
  • Fixed: Quitting/crashing out of ads loses the whole boost streak. With this fixed, you should keep the boost from any ad watched even if a later ad crashes the game or if you quit.
Beyond E22: When Stars Die is available to play now on Steam and will be available to all Android and iOS players by Wednesday, December 20th at 11:59 PM EST.

Even though it takes dying stars to form these nebulae, there is still beauty in death. While their formations and compositions may contain some mysteries today, astronomers are learning exciting things about them as we continue our search into space.

These nebulae aren’t the only exciting pieces of news. In January of 2024, we’ll be releasing our first Explore Event of the year: Explore: Human Body — Anatomy of Life. We’re going smaller in scale to dissect the intricacies of the human body (and what makes it so impressive). Soon we will be on holiday break from 12/23/2023 to 01/08/2024. We can’t wait to see you again in the new year!

Another Chance - Out Of The Box Studios
The day has finally come! After months of development and polish, it is now up to you to save Naomi (and maybe even the world?).

Dive headfirst into Taiki's story, a worried husband doing his best to reunite with his wife Naomi, traversing his town, mysteriously besieged by alien invaders. On your way you will encounter various residents of the city. Choosing to help them will grant you with items which you can use further down the line. But be careful! Time is crucial during an apocalypse, and every minute spent is one more minute Taiki is separated from Naomi. It is up to you to decide whether taking your time is better than ignoring everything in your path and rushing through.

We are very excited for the launch, Another Chance being our first ever commercial game. It is quite daunting, and we are super stoked to have witnessed it grow and evolve this much! The lessons we learned during development are invaluable, both in a professional context and in our daily lives.

Space Impossible - rexspaceman
Space Impossible BETA 14 Pre-Release has arrived. Player teams: in. Custom factions: in. Enhanced mod support: in.

You can now create an ingame team for you and your friends in multiplayer to join. Teams allow you to share resources and vessels easier, find each other in the universe better, and communicate privately.

Custom factions are a new feature added to the game that allows players to create factions of their choosing, including name, ship complement, icons, colors and more. This is done inside the game, but from the main menu. Take your team one step further for faction v faction scenarios, or just enhance and expand your game for you and your friends.

Finally, enhanced mod support has been added. Mods can now be seen and activated from a menu and is fully supported in singleplayer or multiplayer play. This could allow creative players to do everything from custom ships, new resources, new Problems, new art or just about anything else possible ingame. It continues to support Steam Workshop for best syncing and sharing.

As usual with a Pre-Release, the final BETA 14 build will be released once we're happy the state of the game is bug free, sometime probably next week, hopefully just in time for Christmas.

If you would like to check out this pre-release build all the usual things apply, it will have problems (some of which we know about) and universes created may not be compatible with the final release. Let us know your thoughts via the forums or on our discord.

Castle Constructor - Sisyphean Games
Castle Constructor Beta 1.4 has been released! This update mostly focused on improving the blocks but it also bring some enemy siege unit improvements as well.

Now that Beta 1.4 is completed our focus moves to finishing the campaign and wrapping up any other changes we want to make before releasing the game. Due to delays in getting this update out the date for full release has been pushed back to January of 2024.

For more details on everything added, changed, and fixed please see the full changelog below.

New Features:
  • Redesigned many of the blocks to make them more unique and interesting. Vault, Infirmary, Ballista, etc.
  • Improved nighttime visuals. The lighting for night has been adjusted to improve how things look and some blocks now light up at night to add some more visual flair.
  • Block Destruction: Block will now fracture into pieces and collapse rather than just disappearing when the block is destroyed.
  • Upgrade Banners: Blocks will now display a small banner on the side indicating what upgrades it has.
  • Improved Siege unit designs: Siege units now look more interesting and dangerous and the improved armor now looks better.
  • New Enemy Unit: Siege Ram. A new stronger ram that holds powerful enemies and can both take and dish out a lot of damage.
  • New Enemy Unit: War Tower. A stronger siege tower that has a protected area on top full of ranged enemies that are ready to shoot back at your towers.
  • Cheering: Defending soldiers will now cheer when beating a wave or beating the level.

Changes:
  • Improved performance when there are a lot of blocks placed on a level.
  • Minor improvements to the level preview and tech tree UI panels in the campaign map.
  • Slightly improved the look of blocks while damaged.

Fixes:
  • Fixed a reported issue where the next wave could not be started.
  • Fixed a reported issue where there was a potential issue with displaying the new pack selection after a campaign wave.
  • Fixed an issue where enemies unlocking plate armor would also give them dark plate armor.
  • Minor fix to the Rally flag to keep it from getting a bit messed up when dropped onto the targeted tile.
  • Minor fix to targeting to keep blocks/archers from shooting at units that have fallen into the water or off the map.

Heartless & Dreadful : Return by 72 Hours - Kirillian
Changelog:
- Claws - Backwards dodge removed and replaced with the dodge move below.
- Dodge - Added a different kind of backwards dodge that functions similiarly to the directional one. At first I was concerned it would be too busted, but it's balanced enough.
- Tutorial - Added two enemy spawners to practice some "real" combat in the area.
- Tutorial - Added an explanation to the enemy icons.
- Grindblade - Judge's Gear - Input simplified to make it easier to pull off.
- Snipers - Projectiles are now faster against Melee type players to make them more of a threat.
- Mission 03 - Fixed an issue where the player could get stuck in one of the arenas after teleporting towards an enemy. (Yup, a surprise old mesh.)
- Mission 06 - Added another checkpoint after the first unlocked gate.
- General - Getting hit by the spikes no longer causes the music to stop for a millisecond and restart.
- General - Breakable objects now have a more distinct hue to them.
- General - "Begin" is no longer the default selected button for the gamepad in the main menu to avoid players accidentally erasing their save file.
- Costumes - Now have visible conditions to unlock them in the main menu.
- Vs. Knight - Fixed an issue where his weapons would not stop lighting up whenever his hitboxes get disabled. (Because Editor Vs Live build differences are cool.)
- UI - Whenever attacking a boss, their lifebar shall shake on the UI.
- UI - Whenever recieving damage, the HUD will do a subtle shake now.

Known issues:
- Not that I am aware of. But please do report issues either via email or on the steam discussions. I am always keeping an eye on them. In addition, feedback is always appreciated.
