Round up your flock of friends (2-5 players) and embark into a game of Hoot and Seek! As the Owl, you'll be able to blend in seamlessly with the crowd. But beware, those pesky Snipers and Spotters are on a mission to expose your feathery whereabouts!
Game Mode Description
The Owl must blend in with NPCs to complete tasks to win the game. Spotters and Snipers work together to identify and kill the Owl to win.
Roles
Sniper
Snipers are the only ones that can shoot the Owl, and rely on information from the Spotters to find their target. Abilities
Targeting: Enter targeting mode. Temporarily stop moving and control the crosshair to search for the Owl.
Exit targeting mode.
Shoot: Snipers can shoot to kill the Owl. Make sure not to shoot randomly, as any incorrect kill will reward tasks to the Owl and reveal the Sniper's location on the map.
Spotter
Spotters help the Snipers to locate the Owl, but be aware that the Owl can also hear all communication. Abilities
Scan: Scan an area for the Owl's presence. A green circle will show if the Owl is in proximity, and a red circle if they are not.
Owl
The Owl is visually indistinguishable from the NPCs in the game. They win by stealthily completing tasks and avoiding detection from the Snipers and Spotters. Abilities
Disguise: Select a target to disguise as. Can disguise itself by first selecting another player's appearance.
Transform: Transform into your selected target.
Pickpocket: The Owl can pickpocket Snipers to complete several tasks at once and to reduce the cooldown of their abilities.
Blackout: Temporarily reduce the vision of all other players and move faster.
Super Reset: Randomize the cosmetics and positions of all players. It has a very high cooldown, so make sure to only use it in case of emergency.
Role Updates
Demolitionist (Duck): Bomb is now passed automatically by proximity, no longer passed by action button.
Party (Duck): Partied players now display an icon next to their name during game play. Only revealed to the Party (Duck).
Silencer (Duck): Silenced players now display an icon next to their name during game play. Only revealed to the Silencer (Duck).
Pigeon (Neutral): Infected geese now show an infected icon next to their names, to help keep track of the infected. Only revealed to the Pigeon.
Astral (Goose): Now togglable into Astral form, and has infinite time.
Quickplay
Hoot & Seek has been added to Quickplay.
Select game mode tabs have been merged.
Voice Chat
With the last voice chat update we aimed to improve voice chat for everyone, although the quality was better, it led to less accessibility. We've been looking at ways to mitigate this problem and have implemented changes that should solve the problem for most users. We are still working actively and diligently alongside our third-party providers to find a solution. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we work through this with these updates.

🚀 Where to start? Much work has been done for this update, and the release of version 1.0 has never been closer!
🐧 Linux Support: Great news for the Linux community – the game is now fully accessible! Although compatibility has always been present, we're taking a major step by offering full support and making executable files easily accessible. Make sure you have these dynamic libraries up to date: libGL, SDL2 (>= 2.0.0), SDL2_image, libopenal, libsndfile, libpng, libjpeg, zlib. For purists, you can compile the game yourself with the command "make -C src install" in the game's installation directory.
🌐 Improved translation system: I’ve completely redesigned the translation system for more efficient and intuitive language management. Now, adding a new language is a breeze thanks to configurable files that can be edited with any text editor. These files gather all the game's texts, greatly simplifying their translation.
🇷🇺 Hello Russia! The first beneficiary of this new system: Russians! The game is now fully translated into Russian. To our friends, we say: Удачной игры!
🌍 Continuous linguistic additions: From now on, expect to see at least one new language added with each update.
🗺️ Improved map editor: The map editor has been revamped! Now accessible directly from the main menu, it allows you to load and create maps in "edit" mode more easily than ever! Once inside, more intuitive graphical interfaces replace the old system of commands and keyboard shortcuts: editing is now child's play! I plan to add more interfaces for other features in the next update for an even smoother experience.
⚠️ Configuration reset:Given the major changes made, your game's configuration will be reset to default on the first start-up. It's better than having 1,000 dubious bugs due to the old configuration.
⚠️ “Broken” 3D models: Some might be modified with this update if you were working on a custom map with 3D model assets. Make a backup of your map and use the commands “/mmswap 47 75” and then “/mmpush 47 5” in edit mode to fix that.

In this update, we've revamped routines for a better user experience, added support for ranked scenarios, introduced a high score bar, added a start countdown timer and new bot settings.
Routines:
Added support for Ranked scenarios; scores will get submitted in the respective ranked playlist.
Adjusted the routine progress list in size and moved it from the center to the left.
Added a routine progress list to the end session tab as well; stats over time are still visible by pressing the arrow near the list.
Added an option to favorite scenarios directly from the routine progress lists. (Only for Normal and Custom scenarios)
You can now click on a scenario in a routine (from the menu) and directly start your routine from the selected scenario.
Progression is now calculated based on how many scenarios you completed, instead of just on the position of the current scenario you are playing.
Added a Restart button in the end session tab when all reps are finished; by restarting it, you are adding an additional repetition to that scenario.
Implemented progress animations on scenario completion, and the overall progress color has been changed to green.

This setting allows you to add a small delay before the scenario starts, it can be changed in Settings -> Game.
High Score Bar:
This is a new HUD element that will show a representation of your high score, compared to your current score. It can be enabled from Settings -> Hud Editor.
It also has a few settings, which are:
Highscore Type -> This can be set to either ALL TIME BEST, SESSION BEST, or SESSION AVERAGE.

Kill Score Multiplier -> Multiplies the kill score received by this value.
Body Hit Score Multiplier -> Multiplies the body hit score received by this value.

Session Time Size Shifting Type -> Adjusts the size of the bot based on how much time is remaining.
On Direction Changed (L/R) Event Trigger -> Fires whenever the bot changes direction left / right.
On Direction Changed (F/B) Event Trigger -> Fires whenever the bot changes direction forward / back.
Min Jump Ceiling Clearance -> Avoids jumping if the distance from the bot and the roof is less than this value.
Jump Max Count -> This is setting is in LMP profiles and allows the bot to perform jumps even if in the air but not over this value.
Other Changes:
Added Sensitivity and FOV options for THE FINALS.
Fixed a bug that caused routines with 1 scenario to now show in the routine progress list.
