Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers - Meg
Hey everyone,

I just wanted to jump on here and give you a couple exciting updates on our game…

Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers will be coming to Steam Early Access next year! Launching in Early Access will give me the opportunity to work closely with the community to fine-tune Kādomon, as well as use player feedback to determine bigger content updates. As a solo indie dev, community opinions are super helpful, and I’m really looking forward to taking this next step!

Why Early Access?

Early Access will allow me to concentrate on delivering bigger and more extensive content updates, as well as experiment with some cool new ideas. I'll also be able to make improvements and tweaks, so for me it's the best of both worlds! For more FAQs about Early Access, head to our main Steam page.

Get hands-on with the prologue very soon!

When Kādomon comes to Early Access, there’ll be loads more awesome features added, and the whole game will have a fresh look that I can’t wait to share. You can get a taste of the new and improved Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers in the free-to-play prologue, coming early 2024. This will give you a spicy sneak peek into what the full game will be like, as well as introduce you to some of the new monsters, so click here to follow the prologue and be notified when it launches.

Get ready for BRAND NEW Kādomon

In case you haven’t noticed, our Steam page has had a nice little makeover. We’ve unveiled a new (and adorable) Kādomon in our keyart, Luchalor! Luchalor is a fire/physical type Koala Kādomon, and we think they’re the perfect balance of cute and chaotic.

We were part of Jingle Jam 2023!

I have a beaming smile while writing this: Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers was streamed as part of Jingle Jam 2023! Lewis and Sips played the demo last week, and if you skip to 45 minutes, you can watch along here.

I’ve been watching the Yogscast team for years, so this is a huge honour to be included in the Jingle Jam, especially as it’s for such a great cause! You can head here to find out more about the charity and to make a donation.

As always, thanks so much for all your continued support. I can’t wait for the next chapter of Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers! More to follow soon…

Cloud Saves have now been enabled! Just remember, I don't officially support Steam Decks/Non-Window OS's, so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work there. If I can figure out a solution for those, I'll try, but I don't have the devices to test at the moment.
Nexus 5X - Gruffa at work
Hi Everyone!

This Dev diary will cover the different ways that you can play Stellaris Nexus in Early Access from day one, which is today! The game releases in Early Access at 17:00 CET and we're excited to see you on Nexus!

First, we have the first few missions of our story mode which will tell the story of the galaxy up until the start of the fall of the Tzynn Empire, where our main succession mode begins.

In single player succession, you can jump in and play against a variable number of AI opponents. You can set up the number of empires you wanna play against as well as the difficulty of the AI.

We have a custom multiplayer mode where you can set up servers for your friends and play the type of game you wanna play.

And finally, we have our match mode mode where you can just jump on and play against players from all over the world.

Single Player Story Mode
The single player story mode tells the rise and the fall of the Tzynn Empire taking us through their ascendance, their dominance over the galaxy and ultimately their collapse.

Each of our story missions puts you in the role of one of our many factions, gives you an introduction of their mechanics and abilities and also gives you custom objectives to challenge your knowledge of the game.

Single Player Succession Mode
Succession mode played in single player has you going up against AI opponents in a battle for the galactic crown. The first faction to prove that they're a worthy successor and gain 100 succession points will be crowned the new emperor of the galaxy.

This mode lets you customize your experience so that you can choose the number and type of factions you're playing against, as well as the AI difficulty and even change the length of the game from 60 100 or 100 and 50 succession points. This mode is great for learning new factions or practicing new strategies before jumping back into multiplayer.

Multiplayer Custom Succession Mode
If you want to play Stellaris Nexus against other human players, you've got two options; custom mode and matchmaking.

Custom mode offers very similar options to single player. You can set the number of opponents and game lengths, then you can invite your friends and enemies to fill out those slots.

The core design objective of Stellaris Nexus was to create a deep and fast 4X game. In order to achieve this, the amount of time that you have to take your turn is limited by a turn timer. The duration of the timer can be customized or turned off completely. One of the driving motivations behind the design of Stellaris Nexus was to allow gamers to enjoy a social strategy game together in a compact timeframe regardless of where they live.

Multiplayer Matchmaking
If you want to play against players from around the world, we have a matchmaking mode where you can jump in to go head to head against players of a similar skill. This mode will use the standard game length and turn time options.

So these are the game modes that will be available in Stellaris Nexus in Early Access from day one. So throughout Early Access, we'll be introducing slightly new ways to play, fleshing out our story mode and introducing new content such as factions and leaders from everyone on the team at Whatboy, we're excited to be bringing Stellaris Nexus into Early Access and we're looking forward to seeing you all on the galactic rim.

Legends of Amberland II: The Song of Trees - Chris Koźmik
Traditionally, the first version after release is one big bug fix. In addition to the fixes, there are tiny interface improvements (aimed at handhelds: read SteamDeck) and one change regarding chests. Some of you found out that while the loot type from chests is persistent, there is a small loophole, the chance of a second item was not persistent, so save scumming fest began (by people who play on Insane). The loophole has been patched in this version.

- [misc] Now the chance of a second item from a chest is also persistent (before only item type was persistent). Same for gold from chests. No more save scumming!
- [misc] Gold from chests formula slightly altered (to make it more varied between location grades). Overall, the amount of gold was slightly increased by this change (on average).

- [interface] Improved Stats & Skills screen text readability.
- [interface] Shop interface enlarged (prices font bigger, more space allocated to display items).

- [manual] Improved manual.

- [fix] Two plaques text not showing (in caves).
- [fix] Two quest items had incorrect names of NPCs listed which lead to confusion.
- [fix] Two quests not triggering as finished (cosmetic, not affecting gameplay).
- [fix] Doubled NPC in Riverfell (one removed).
- [fix] Obscure bug with quick load while not closed trainer screen after buying the skill but before closing the screen (yup, a very unusual combo to trigger the bug, but the consequences when it happened were severe).
- [fix] Incorrect mapped keys when using spells if party character changed position.
- [fix] Language selector flickering on main menu when attempted to click it when it's illegal to open it.
- [fix] Mute on focus lost audio settings not saved.
- [fix] Numerous spelling corrections.

Reminders
You can follow my Steam Developer Page if you wish to be notified each time a new game or expansions is being released.

Also, if you have a moment to leave a Steam review of the game it would be appreciated. It makes a big difference to an indie developer like me. Thanks!
