Hello Everyone,

Dreamwalker is finally out and I am happy and relieved to be able to share my little story with you all. Hopefully you will have a great time with what I have created. I will continue polishing the game still in the future, but rest assured that the story is complete, and there are no issues that I'm aware of. If you find any, please tell me so I can get them fixed.

If there seems to be enough demand, there might also be some free content updates coming in the future in the form of side stories. These would happen in the same world but have a new protagonist. Some characters from the base game might make an appearance! There is a tiny sample of one side story in the game already for those who have reached the good ending, to give you an idea what to expect.

Don't expect these side stories soon though, since I'm just going to chill a bit for now, and play some games myself. 😁

The ending theme of Recolit has been created by composer DenkiQujira. It achieves the same vibe as the main soundtrack through an entirely different perspective, so please look forward to hearing both of them.

Hello! It's been a while.
Here's a short summary of what's been done:

Studied more about how to use the timeline as I'm a noob with it. Tried different implementation of the cutscene. Had to look for to make it connect with the existing features, like the dialogue system. r the existing features to be used while in a cutscene.

Took more than a week to fix the light baking T_T Baking lights usually takes so long.

Hovercraft reborn update launches on the 7th of December!

A highly requested feature that many were after was Undo! We’re pleased to reveal that Undo will be a part of the next update! We previously shared an exciting video that showed undo in action



Of course, take some time to sit down, put on the kettle and collect yourself from the exhilarating footage you just witnessed! When you’re ready, we’ll continue talking about some of the features that we have provided in Undo and why it will be an incredibly useful tool!

Firstly, we haven’t quite decided how many steps of undo you’ll be able to go back by. We’re currently thinking that it might be up to 200 steps. But in some cases, it might be useful to go back even further. The issue that this raises is the more steps of undo that you are given, the higher the memory usage of your machine. We’re considering whether we should let you decide how many steps of undo you are able to go back by via a slider in the options menu.

As a point of reference, graphic editors like Blender only allow you to go back 50 steps for this reason and you often have a lot of other software that have the same limitations.

In Robocraft 1, you were not able to enter test mode until you saved the craft. At this point, any changes you made before then were permanent and an Undo would not save you if you made the machine perform worse. In Robocraft 2, it will remember your steps even when you return from testing your robot. So if you’ve made a bit of a mess of your vehicle, just undo it when returning back to building!

The Undo feature does not currently work with materials and colours, but that functionality will be added in a following update.

In a surprise addition, We have added another feature… Redo!

That’s right, Undo & Redo will launch in the next patch, Redo performs in the same way as Undo, except instead of undoing your actions, it will redo anything.

Undo & Redo will be part of the Update launching on 7th December. Tomorrow we’ll share more news and information on another feature planned for the next update.

Sometimes a Behavior Script has such intricate settings that it's easier to share the blueprint directly so the player doesn't get confused setting up all the necessary items on the bot and figuring out how to connect them in the correct order.

Today, we offer you to look at one of these examples and also understand how to add blueprints from other players to your game.

How to add a blueprint:

  • Copy the Blueprint code.
  • Save it in the Library (L) -> Blueprints, as shown in the screenshot below.



  • After that, the blueprint will appear in the Production Menu of the component in which it can be produced.

This is a 'spotter' unit for your combat team, which cycles through various radar filter modes (buildings, units, infected) with its two radars, stores up to ten results in an array-like set of parameters, and delivers the closest found entity via the signal register. Your combat units can then pick up the targets and attack them, even when beyond visual range.

The radars are read asynchronously - the spotter unit will permanently follow the combat unit you configured. The distances to all found targets are updated constantly

Usage:

Drag the unit your spotter is to follow in P1 and add the distance to follow.

You will need items that become available in the later stages of the game, when most of the research in the 'Human' and 'Robots' branches is already completed.
