Farlight 84 Version 15.1.1 showcases our commitment to delivering an ever-evolving battle royale experience. From hero reworks and new upgrades to enhanced game aesthetics, this update marks the start of an exciting new chapter in the journey of Farlight 84.
▌Hero Changes
Syfer: New tactical skill
In the past few updates, we've reworked a few heroes including Maggie, Ducksyde, MK.R, and more. In this update, to enhance Syfer's diversity and tactical choices, she will also welcome some new changes.
1. Adjusted Syfer's role: Support → Attack
2. New tactical skill "Coords Shift": ◇ Syfer throws an electromagnetic pulse device and monitors its coordinate changes. ◇ During the flight of the device, clicking the skill button can teleport to the coordinates where the device is located. Otherwise, the decoder will directly teleport to the coordinates where the device landed. ◇ Skill combo demonstration: "Coords Shift" quickly teleports to the vicinity of the enemy and uses the ultimate "EMP Shock".
Captain: New design
Starting from this version, we will gradually enhance the game's artistic style. We are beginning with our fireman, Captain, whose new design will emphasize his robust physique with a gentle and reliable twist. His revamped look will shine a light on his truth-seeking journey and his role as a reliable friend in the neighborhood.
Since only 3% of you choose to play Captain regularly, we thought you might need some guides on playing with him and have prepared a video to tell you more.
In order to make the long-term game experience more sophisticated, we plan to make some important changes to the gunplay in Farlight 84. We will start by adjusting the AK-77, making it feel realistic to hold and shoot.
AK-77
◇ Increased damage 16 → 20. ◇ Changed bullet spread design from fixed trajectories to a mix of fixed and random trajectories. ◇ Increased recoil. ◇ New sound effects.
Ancient Star
◇ Reduced damage 90 → 72.
Bar-95
◇ New sound effects.
▌New Battle Pass
◇ Gear up for the long-awaited SSR skin for Syfer - 'Wild Player', inspired by the classic street gaming arcade style and adding more charm to her persona. ◇ MK.R isn't lagging behind with its new SSR skin: 'Fanatic Mech'. Both skins will be available in the all-new battle pass, 'Pixel Bliss', for the upcoming season.
▌Rewards
◇ Added Road to Progress tasks after the player level reaches 30, and generous rewards can be obtained for every certain level increase. ◇ Added Daily Missions, players can easily get rewards by completing missions every day.
▌Social Features
This update brings an end to waiting for friends to finish a match before being able to invite them to a game. You can now schedule to play with your friends who are currently in a game.
◇ Squad Reservation: Added the feature to schedule play with friends, friends can also send appointment invitations during the game. ◇ Friends List: Added "remove follow" feature; supports more number of fans; added friend list team invitation. ◇ Popularity Score: In the future, your profile will display a Popularity score. You can increase a teammate's popularity score by giving them a follow.

Hello everyone, We have updated the trial version of Gravity Escape, addressing some issues and adjusting the level configurations. Players who are interested can give it another try. We plan to release the full version in the first quarter of next year. Please be patient and stay tuned. Thank you!
Fixes avatar not showing up in room load screen and new outfit thumbnails on Quest.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue that could cause the CV1 spawner chip to move to an incorrect location.
Fixed a bug where the ACM palette menu would sometimes crash.
Rec Room Studio
Use the "Test Room" button now to test your room locally without having to wait on a cloud build. We also made it easier to upload and save your work to Rec.net as many times as you want, and then later go back and choose which saves to actually build.
Made it easier to find the Room Save Inspector, which lets you build any unbuilt save and tells you the in-game download sizes of your room on different platforms.
Fixed up some UI bugs with the Rec Room Studio Room Creator Chat and Circuit Palette windows. Now it's easier to send messages to fellow-creators who are in the room in-game.
This change avoids an exception thrown when loading a Studio Function Chip that references a Studio Function that is no longer defined in the room.
We love to hear your feedback, so please don't hesitate to let us know what you think.
When I started posting my projects to YouTube, I never expected anyone to take an interest in them. I still have much to do, but I have learned a lot and your generosity and encouragement inspires me to keep learning. I would have given up long ago if it weren't for you being with me on this journey.
Off-camera I'm an extreme introvert, so 100 thousand people is such an incomprehensibly large number for me to process that I'm not sure how to feel. I could have never imagined things to turn out this way, and I am so grateful for all of you!
I've got a lot on my plate at the moment but I'm working on a special video to celebrate the community, so make sure you're subscribed for when it drops!
MEO XL is the biggest gaming event in Portugal. It took place at Exponor (Porto, Portugal) between November 23rd and 26th. For the first time, it hosted Gamiberica, the Iberian Games Summit—the first conference dedicated to debating the video game industry in the Iberian Peninsula. It took place on the 24th of November, organized by Indie X, IndieDevDay, and with the support of APVP - Associação de Produtores de Videojogos Portugueses.
Gamiberica strives to foster meaningful connections within the Spanish and Portuguese indie industry, facilitating collaboration among studios, investments, and talent. The establishment of a dedicated space for such interactions proves highly advantageous for all involved, thanks to the partnership between IndieX and IndieDevDay.
Gloomy Juncture at MEO XL
Gamiberica featured a showcase of 30 games from Portuguese and Spanish studios. Being my first public showcase, I was present for the entire four days. Despite initial nervousness about being a game in such a niche genre, it was heartening to witness players across all age ranges engaging with enthusiasm and persevering through every puzzle until the end of the Prologue.
I've been humbled by the amazing feedback. To everyone who visited the booth, asked about development, played Gloomy Juncture, shared an opinion, or said it was a must-buy—thank you! Your support has made it all worth it already! 💗
Liberation is not just a game that looks retro, I also want to provide an authentic retro gaming experience. There's a lot of interpretation in that goal. I'm not necessarily here to recreate old gaming mechanics exactly, rather I want to capture the *feel* of playing an early generation space sim. To me that means a sense of wonder, a sense of entertainment, a sense of freedom with not much hand-holding.
At launch, Liberation used a flight scheme similar to the original Elite from 1984. To fly you pitch up and down and rotate your ship. There is no turning (fancy name: yaw). I love that control scheme -- it feels so floaty to me, there is no up or down and space battles become these wonderful swooping and rolling affairs.
However, based on feedback I have decided to use a more modern flight scheme for Liberation. Here's why:
The old scheme does not suit gamepads and that is half of the players
Players today expect to be able to turn their ship (fair enough!)
I didn't implement the original scheme so perfect that it would kill me to change it
So this release is ALL ABOUT replacing and tightening up the flight controls (but a few bonus features slipped in too). The major changes are:
New flight model adds turning/yaw
New weapon system for improved auto tracking and accuracy
Improved gamepad support (on-screen icons, more gamepad types supported)
Incoming communications now pause the game
I can never promise new features or anything but my priorities in the near future are mouse support, mission balance updates, and some juicy quality of life improvements (eg highlight which jumpgate is best for the current mission).
Your support makes it happen!
Regards, Luke
