For those of you who have following my development process, you'll know that I started with Advent Heroes, which I canceled in its original form back in mid-2023. In its place I have been developing Project Able Heroes off the foundation of that project, working on a story that highlights the adventures of heroes who come from backgrounds of physical and/or mental challenges who nonetheless are called to a greater cause than that which defines who they are from a matter of their inner challenges. Today, however, I am pleased to finally announce the official name for the project, and that name is...

Okay, screw it. And I'm not kidding.
(cue drumroll)
The final name of Project Able Heroes is...
Advent Heroes.
Yes, that's right. I'm back to where it all began some four years ago. As it turns out, despite the many attempts to update the branding to a more fitting name for what I have created, I was ultimately unable to do so across all of the channels for which the game is scheduled to release, therefore I made the difficult decision to reactivate the original project name (which for better or worse is something that I never fully deactivated on one of the originally-planned retail channels!) In fact, with this announcement I am adding that one final platform back to the schedule: at the time of release, the game will also be available on Steam. Beyond this, the first playable content dump for Advent Heroes, tentatively titled "Wrath of the Ice Queen", will begin development in just a few days to add onto what I already have. This will be released first to itch.io as a jam project and will be available on Steam as a demo shortly thereafter.
I hope that all of the hard work that went into restoring the release plan for Advent Heroes is worth the time and effort that I put into making it a reality once more. There's more to come as the release inches ever closer - stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Hello everyone, the Definitive Update launches tomorrow at 6 PM UK time. This update brings graphic improvements, a new main menu design, and more. As previously stated, the update brings with it new system requirements. The updated requirements are now on the store page.
Logan here! I wanted to inform the players that live this patch is custom controls! You can swap controls to pretty much almost anything, so have fun customizing your experience even more than before!
Other than custom controls a few balance changes are happening and also regular bugfixes as seen below!

BUFF Sector VIII Stabilizer Healing per unit destroyed increased from 2 to 2.5
Target Acquired Damage increased from 115/130/145% to 120/140/160%
Focus Cooldown Reduction for Wave Dash increased from 50(+2% per 100 Shield) to 50(+3% per 100 shield)

Bugfix
Triple Threat No longer has it's damage reduced when run with Triple Barrage Triple Barrage No longer modifies on-hit effects that scale with Damage. Wave Reflections Now properly reduces healing from Sector VIII Stabilizer and Healing from destruction on-hit. Kickstarter Correctly knocks back Tier 3 boomboxes. It was pushing them slightly less away.

A new update for Dead Alone is available right now with a lot of changes, fixes and even some new features !
With this update, a new playtest will be available for 2 weeks. I will share more informations about the official release date of the game in the upcoming weeks !

The biggest addition with this update is the Construction Mode ! With this new feature you will be able to build traps anywhere you want and even repair explosive barrels to use them again. All these constructions will obviously cost you some ressources but they are a great way to prepare the area before engaging with a new group of ennemies.
This update also include a rework to the handlings of projectiles. This rework has the goal to make the use of projectiles easier by reducing the amount of interactions needed to throw one. By default you will now always have one projectile equipped which you can quickly throw at any time with a single button click. You can still change projectile type with the selection wheel by holding G.
With this update I also added a new sleeping buff for the survival gamemode: “Efficient killing” This buff give you 50% chances of refiling one ammunition when killing an ennemy with a shotgun, sniper or rifle
Other changes and fixes:
Added a proper death animation for the player
Some inputs have been modified to support the projectiles rework, if you previously changed the keybinds for those inputs, you will need to rebind them in the settings.
Shoot / Throw Projectile → Fire
Aim / Projectile Prediction → Aim
New Input: Throw Projectile (default: Middle Mouse Button)
New Input: Toggle Construction Mode (default: T)
Made multiple changes to the character mesh to avoid camera clipping when some animations where playing
Pressing the sprint input while aiming with a sniper won’t stop aiming anymore
The nearest workbench is now displayed on the compass
Added various animations to several UIs
Various optimisation and changes to artifical lights
Various tweaks to the difficulty balance including:
All damages from explosions and fire are now reduced for lower difficulties
Various tweaks to the spawning delays of zombies based on the difficulty of the wave
Improved projectiles hit detection to remove instances of zombies not taking damages from frag grenades
When zombies are desoriented (by a smoke grenade or explosive for example) they can’t attack the player anymore
Fixed a major issue in the survival gamemode that was causing ground loot to spawn in misplaced locations
Fixed an issue that caused the ADS scope to be misaligned when moving right which made aiming with some weapons very difficult
Fixed various issues that caused the fast travel to be unavailable more often than it should
Fixed many issues with the saving system including:
An issue that could cause the game to display a black screen when loading a save
An issue that caused the player to be unable to equip a weapon when loading a save
An issue that prevented supply rooms doors to be properly unlocked when loading a save
An issue that could cause the lighting to be overly bright in some instances
Fixed an issue causing the Horde Shop to display “common rarity” upgrades
Fixed various issues with compass icons
Fixed an issue that could allow to throw a projectile while healing
Fixed various issues with the endless gamemode (available when completed the horde of survival gamemodes), including an issue causing the timer between waves to not be paused properly when in the pause menu which could lead zombies to not spawn
-This patch has a bigger size because we couldn't update the game with small sized patches. We had to re-upload the game everytime due to it being compressed. After this patch, our upcoming updates will be smaller in size.-
Economy balance changes.
Foreign language fonts updated.
Exit warnings added.
Settings panel changes - mouse and camera sensitivity, VSync etc.
Hammer now increases conditions in one hit.
Bug Fixes - We fixed LOTS OF bugs, but these were the most problematic ones.
Infinite Sell bug is gone, we can sleep now...
Some items said "Far From Home" even though they are not. Not anymore.
When you sold an item that's inside a box, the box wouldn't move.
Some naughty cars in the city would go outside the city borders. We fixed that.

You can now make beautiful screenshots by pressing F12 (default in Steam), and upload it!
In game over screen you can press F1 to get into Screenshot mode. In this mode you can pan camera freely and even zoom-in and out using scroll-wheel or gamepad triggers.
