Mostly small build, I spent quite a bit of time updating our dependencies and cloud to .NET 8 which released recently.
There's new function for sorting blendshapes now too! This should make it easier to deal with blendshapes being in different order when transferring meshes and such.
New Features:
- Added "Sort Blendshapes (by name)" processing to SkinnedMeshRenderer -- This will sort and remap blendshapes, which allows ensuring a consistent ordering of the blendshapes - Add "Sort Blendshapes (by name length, then name)" -- This is similar, but will sort blendshapes by the name length first - this is useful if you want to group them by short names first
Locale:
- Merged Japanese locale update by @eai - Merged German locale update by @muppeq
Tweaks:
- "Reset to default" field inspector action is now undoable (requested by @nytra, issue #713) - Updated cloud infrastructure to .NET 8 from .NET 7 - Updated number of libraries to .NET 8 related versions (e.g. System.Text.Json) - Updated additional dependencies and libraries to newer versions - Blendshape names in the inspector will now auto-update when the target mesh is changed (e.g. when recomputing or sorting blendshapes) - Updated native Assimp library to latest version from the source
[Fixed] - Fixed duplicating pickups on the client. - Fixed players can now kill others with projectiles after death. - Fixed occlusion on TheRig. - Fixed TeslaGun dropping even if it was out of ammo. - Fixed incorrect version being checked. - Fixed weapon dropping is a little more reliable with high ping.
We've pushed a new patch out today - version 0.90, with lots of new content! Highlights include:
An all-new interactive battle window
New effects, labels and descriptions for places of interest like Holy Sites, Sacred Pools and Tar Pits. Any unit can now "discover" a place of interest.
Added "Game Length" to the game setup menu, and reduced the size of all maps. Allows faster games (especially for our testers!)
And, of course, a long list of bug fixes.
As usual, this is an alpha build - so we're looking for your feedback, the good, the bad, and the ugly! If you're already a tester, please use the online submission portal. If you're not already a tester, make sure to Wishlist us to hear when the game is ready for release!
We are rolling back the build to previous version as it seems some of you are experiencing softlocks. 1.0.20 will be back as soon as we figure out what happened.
We'll be retiring the free OMEN Starter Pack DLC from Steam sometime soon, as it didn't work out as imagined. This won't remove the items already in your world, so don't worry if you've already decked out your house!
After a year of development, Volatile Particle is released!
As a final playtest of the game, our good friend and streamer Nixolay played it on stream last week. Watching him play inspired us to add a global leaderboard to the game, and after a hectic week of development, the leaderboard is live! Do you have what it takes to get the #1 spot?
After five years of solo development, Malkin is ready for download on Steam. Create a character, customize their background, and start exploring. Expect intricate storylines with multiple endings and combat that poses a balanced challenge.
