Thank you all for playing the prologue version and sharing your feedback. Originally, we planned to release the game in Q4. Unfortunately, the region where our developers work is facing increased war conflict, making working conditions difficult. As a result, we have to delay the game until Early 2024 as shipping this month is nearly impossible.
We are working on improving working conditions and trying to speed up game development.
Currently, we are focused on the playtest version, an improved version of the prologue/demo with added new features.
Improved Help:
The game now includes a helpful menu for more guidance. For example, if you want to perform a DDoS attack but forgot how, the help menu can provide more information.
Added Difficulty Levels:
Some players found the game too guided. We added an "experienced" difficulty level that offers minimal guidance, letting you figure out things on your own. Here you can see a step-by-step gig example for each difficulty level.
More Outdoor Activity:
The game will have more outdoor activities for both main and side gigs. Side gigs might involve playful pranks, like going to a nearby hotel, locking doors, and playing loud music at night.
Expanded Gameplay Loop:
Instead of just receiving an IP address and hacking, we added a new feature. Now, you can scan nearby WiFi networks, discover connected devices, and try to hack them. For example, at the DJ party, you'll need to use "netdiscover" to find nearby devices and hack into the main DJ computer.
Expanded Search:
As you progress, you'll unlock new searching abilities. Encountered individuals without information before? Now you will be able to discover their secrets, unlocking more hidden gigs.
Heat level:
As you play, your heat level will increase, making you a target for other hackers. For example, a hacker might place a bounty on you, someone could add your name to a wanted list, and you might need to clear your name. Another hacker might engage in a cyberwar with you, like someone from the DJ party you hacked earlier. These will be detailed gigs rather than just "solve a puzzle to escape".
We'll keep you updated as we work through challenges and aim to provide an improved gaming experience. Your understanding and support are appreciated.
Unless another crash is found, this is likely the last small tweak patch for 8.0
v8.0d - November 16th, 2023 -You can now see the amount of battles each tower has before choosing one -You can now see all tower medals for each character on the character select screen -Moved the mid boss chapter in Taller Tower to be one chapter later -You can no longer equip a quick gift that your character is unable to use due to not having enough activation slots -If you select a song in the music room, it will be remembered and continue to play in all hub menus for the rest of the session -Songs that play during scenes triggered within hub menus will no longer stick temporarily after the scene ends -Bug Fix: Loading a suspended tower run with any 4 battle chapter would fail to load
We'd like to announce a huge update to the early access version of Deluge: Sermon for the Dead!
This update finalizes the base section of the game, and adds the majority of the Marisa/Ina ending route. With this update, the game is about 70% done.
I'd like to thank you all for your patience. This update was long overdue. We hope to publish our next update early January 2024, bringing the game to about 95% completion.

To summarize: Being among the 50 finalists also means that we might grab an award for Songs of Silence, which I can bring back home to Munich from Lisbon (mindblown).
So please keep your fingers crossed. This would mean so much for us and the hard work, passion, heart-blood, sweat and tears we’ve put into this game so far and will continue to do so until its release in 2024!

We have some additional information regarding the delay of our scheduled Early Access opening.
The client review process currently underway on Steam has not yet been completed, which is causing a delay in the opening time.
As for the new opening time, we plan to promptly provide an update through our announcements after checking the results of the Steam review later than 1 AM on November 17th (UTC).
We extend our sincerest apologies to all those who have been waiting for the Early Access.
