Hey Islanders,

We are now deploying Gateway to the EVRIMA branch. As outlined in our latest DevBlog, our current live version (Spiro, 0.11.59.04) will be moved to its own branch for a limited time. This move is designed to accommodate players who do not want to partake in active development but wish to continue playing the game on the previous stable version. Once Gateway's gameplay loop is assessed internally as stable and within the intended vision, we will drop support for 0.11.59.04 and return to a unified EVRIMA branch. All Official Servers are also transferring over to Gateway.

As always, you may need to restart your Steam client if the update is not immediately available to download.



Server Owners that utilize Gateway will have to make adjustments to their configuration files. Below, you'll find an example illustrating the required format for your Game.ini. Please note; You also have to use the appropriate depot when hosting for a specific map.

RPG Stories - Brave Alice Games

We are doing a new Kickstarter campaign on November 21st to showcase to newcomers what RPG Stories can do, giving 101 Battle Maps in 2D.
These maps will be accompanied by .rpgs files for those who wish to use them directly in RPG stories or create their unique maps based on ours.😊

Now, the reason we called it 101 Battle Maps is because we made 100 maps and we want one member of our community to do this +1 special map!

Anyone can participate in this contest and the winner will get:

  1. Their map will be the +1 map.
  2. This +1 map will be credited either with your name or any brand you choose.
  3. You will get all the rewards of this campaign (101 2D Battle Maps, the .rpgs files, all 101 maps in sunset style and night style, and the video cinematic loops for each map+ 1 GM Version Steam key).

Stardander School for Witches - David Maletz
One piece of feedback we keep getting is that it takes a while to get to Stardander (where most of the story and excitement happens). While we want to introduce Callie and the world before she arrives there (and what is at stake for her), we decided it could be trimmed and re-arranged to be more exciting and move faster.

This update mostly effects the events before Callie arrives at Stardander, and this update also updates the demo.

In other news, while we're progressing on Chapter 5, it has been delayed a bit because of how busy we were in October. I updated the road map, and we're on track for a December 2023 release of Chapter 5. I hope you're excited, as this is going to be a major changing point in many ways, and a return to Callie's perspective for the first time!

No Creeps Were Harmed TD - Narlak
-Leviathan freak-out health ratio changed from 50% to 40%.
-Leviathan fire rate changed from 0.28 to 0.25.
-Leviathans do 50% more damage to the driller if they escape.
-Laser Gate volt wave and vortex bomb artifact mod damage has been reduced.
-Laser Gate overload damage will scale with overload value (fix for Medic Hub exploit).
-Laser Gate health bar moved up a bit.
-Creeps sent back by Chrono Ray have a clock icon, showing they have travelled through time.
-Chrono Ray duration now factors in fire rate.
-Chrono Ray loot stats changed from “duration / fire rate” to “range / distance”.
-Splitter group sized reduced from 5 to 4.
-Splitters have a 50% chance to only spawn 1 child if overpopulated.
-Better multi-click selection code, especially for Laser Gate.
