Hello explorers, When announcing the “Future of Into the Radius” we were confident of our ability to deliver on what we had planned. Mod support has been the most requested feature by our community for the longest time, and we were excited to bring it to you as a final send off to ITR1. However, as months went by between working on different ports, the sequel, and mod support, the team was spread too thin. And since ITR1 wasn’t designed with modding in mind, it made the development of such a monumental feature only that much harder. We overestimated the amount of time, manpower, and money we had to work on this many things simultaneously. So we made the tough call to cancel mod support. We apologize for not delivering on our word and letting you all down. We also want to apologize to our modding community, who even without dedicated mod support, managed to create some truly fun and unique experiences for ITR1.
Will the sequel have mod support?
Unlike ITR1, the sequel is developed from the ground up with mod support in mind. It won’t have it immediately, and especially not during Early Access. However, the game is meant to be much more accessible by the modding community right from the start. We make no promises, but we will do our best to eventually bring proper mod support to the sequel.
What happens now?
Update 2.7 was the final major update to the game. ITR1 might still receive bug fixes and minor tweaks, but nothing more. Our main priority is the sequel. We should have a lot more information to share with you in late November ~ early December.
Thank you for the incredible support you’ve shown us throughout this journey with our very first VR game. And though it isn’t the ending we were planning for this first chapter, we must move on. We can only hope ITR2 will live up to your expectations, and our explorers will accompany us on this new journey as well. See you in the Radius.
Skins provide cool-looking, alternate appearances to the player-character, which can make them feel more personal and unique! A lot of them are very in-universe in their design, while others leave for more...humorous possibilities! With Skins, you can choose how YOU want to express your style as you battle against The Meat!
Who says you can't save the Earth while being stylish?!
1. Vadim - The Man, The Soon-To-Be Myth, and The Certified Legend
As the greatest living soldier on Earth, Vadim is equipped with rare blue armor ionized and constructed from stronger materials than standard armor plating found on the common soldiers of the Earth Counter Invasion Force.
2. ECIF Soldier - Don't quote us on this. It may not be final!
Equipped with the standardized green armor plating, these soldiers of the ECIF are specially trained to resist invasions from extraterrestrial adversaries. But nothing sets the bar any higher than the arrival of the ravenous Meat!
3. Power Armor - That fancy armor will digest slower than your flesh.
Special Operations Units are equipped with signature silver finishes in their armor and receive unique helmets to suit their missions. Additional cosmetic upgrades come at the right price, soldier.
4. Franklin - The Meat will not make an exception for reptiles.
One of the irregular additions to the Earth Counter Invasion Force after a mishap within portal prototype, Franklin is dedicated to the cause knowing The Meat will stop at nothing to assimilate anything and everything. Does not breathe fire, sadly, but he can sure dish it out!
5. Poochie the Rockin' Dog - What the dog doin'?
As another irregular ally joining the Earth Counter Invasion Force, Poochie happened upon this version of Earth after arriving from a malfunctioning portal somewhere on the other side of the world. He now devotes his life to exterminating the extraterrestrial trespassers. Don't ask him to do any tricks, though.
These are just a few of the Skins players can look forward to earning in the full game! Stay tuned for more as we continue on with development!

This update brings an updated intro sequence with art I did in sort of a comic style. It now correctly refers to the Solar Federation as well, instead of the Galactic Union.
There are now 5 additional achievements for high scores, as it wasn't very common to reach the later stages of the game without getting at least 250,000,000 points. Additionally, the game should now check for each score threshold and not just the highest one reached at the end of a stage so it won't skip achievements.
The achievement for beating the first boss now works properly.
The projectile trails for the tachyon seekers for both the player and enemy ships have been re-implemented as GPU particles to prevent them from sometimes glitching and teleporting across the screen.

Backup save files are now created every now and then, allowing the players to manually restore their playthrough in case of a save file corruption accident.
Fixed the issue where the Tetromino Bridge near the Megastructure North Green Laser puzzle could not be solved if starting from the opposite direction.
Fixed the issue where the player could have walked out of the Somnodrome room in North 2 lost lab after agreeing to use it but before the doors closed, thus locking themselves out of the room and from progressing the game.
Due to frequent crashes, DLSS Frame Generation is now disabled on drivers prior to 535.xx and after 540.xx. You can install a version of the drivers outside of this range to continue using DLSS Frame Generation.
