Thank you so much for waiting for so long time.
Today, finally, I am here to announce you that the early access of the game just got released!
From now on, you can play the game on Steam.

Unlike the Demo version, you can play the game beyond day 12, and experience all 4 weathers of Ratopia.
I wonder how many of the leaders would survive the Winter and meet the new Spring.

May be, you might be able to survive and also build the monument in the Hard mode! :rat_happy:
Well it will not be easy. Beware of the incident that might result catastrophe!
Sometimes it could be even better to begin in the new world.


Ratopia is in Early Access as mentioned.
There still are many problems of human-rat mixed up texts, behavior stupidity of rats, and some balancing issues that you might wish to check the brain of the developers...
Many are still not organized, and many are still to be fixed.
Additionally, we are currently developing richer content, which could significantly change the flow of the game.

Yes again, there are, and will be a lot of problems.
However, we promise that we will do our best to solve the issues and upgrade the game.
So please look forward to more in the future!

If you encounter any inconveniences or bugs while playing the game, please contact us through our Discord channel, the discussion board on our Steam page, or the forum on our website, and we will resolve the issues as quickly as possible.

New patch for the demo went live. Changes:
  • The player can now click the market / player base with the mouse to set it in focus for connection.
  • The dark web UI was revamped, the three big buttons were changed to a list of known hosts in the upper left corner.
  • Web Crawler entities now take other entities into consideration when pathfinding, so they no longer clip into each other.
  • Entities received a medium performance boost.
  • Dark Web now looks a bit different: player's camera no longer has a light and instead the market / base have their own illumination.

  • Option to invert aim in combat.
  • Option to unlock mouse during gameplay.
  • "Do not push" button can now be pushed without restoring power to the secret lab.
  • Persist "good music" for credits.
  • Improved prose for clarity, consistency.
  • Fixed soft lock related to the sample and first reaching the secret lab.
  • Fixed soft lock related to spider.
  • Fixed soft lock related to iron maiden.
  • Fixed soft locks related to moving to an unreachable position.
  • Fixed soft locks related to true ending.
  • Fixed incorrect ammo from shotgun caches.
  • Fixed missing wall collision leading to 3F mansion.
  • Ensure player can retrieve sample if they explode Jeff Monroe.
  • Fit and finish for some props, lights, sounds, etc.
  • Small mouse & keyboard improvements.
  • Credits no longer hang.
  • To reduce likelihood of losing progress, game backs up the save file when continuing or starting new game. (One backup per day.)

I originally wanted to wait until we found more bugs to push out any patch. But some of these minor pesky issues get in the way of enjoying the game, so we're just pushing a few of these small bug fixes and will probably do quite a bit more of these small patches in the future.

Fixes:
  • Fixed error in Jasmine's Hot Menu sticker
  • Fixed muffled song audio on restart
  • Fixed Autoplay difficulty de-syncing with selection

  • Added Lovense Support for Thrust and Depth Commands

Anyway, this update brings a decent combination of functional game mechanics (outlined below), with a lot more on the way VERY soon!

Hi all,

I'll keep this brief, but after a longer than expected hiatus from development, JEX is back in progress again!

My current focus is clearing any and all roadblocks towards a playable alpha build. The most recent changes I've made involve fixing various issues, and finishing out early versions of all of the new game UIs. Once that is done I'll move onto connecting the dots between the travel gameplay and exploration. After that, it'll be a matter of making sure core gameplay elements are working with the next milestone being a playable alpha.

While I'm not 100% decided, I think a closed playtest would make the most sense as the next step once the aforementioned things are done.
