Fuga: Comedies of Steel is a spin-off manga video series that depicts the world of Fuga: Melodies of Steel in a cute way, and available on the CC2 YouTube channel!
Remember the difficulty increase in the monster update? It appears to have been a little heavy handed. So, I fixed it. While I was at it, I threw in a bit of multiplayer. That makes everything better, right?
Fixed difficulty curve. It's now how it was pre-monster dash.
Added multiplayer! Simply press the action button on any control other than the current active one on the character select screen and the game will shift into multiplayer mode.
Created dividers for the scoreboard! Depending on how your game goes, it can go into one of several different high score types. Multiplayer, No Powerups, and even Hero only!
Some misc QOL and decorative changes
Hotswap outfits! You can now quickly swap unlocked outfits in the hero select screen by holding the select (Default Alt) key and pressing left/right.
A little surprise if you can reach Dashes 15 on a solo no upgrades run. See if you can reach this master level!
this might be a little late since the content update has been life more than a day now but still I wanted to do use this announcement as an opportunity to go into detail what has changed and there has been a lot of changes.
New Content:
4 new Main Quest, 3 Sidequests
3 new classes:
Dragon Knight Swordmaster Witch
over a dozen new enemies
new traits
new skills
new items:
the first legendary items
monk armor
3 demonic weapons
new enhancement gems
New mechanics:
1. Elevation:
The biggest change in combat is the inclusion of elevation. There are several maps now that can be pulled in random battles where the map is not completely flat and the new quests with their own battle maps have been designed to include the new changes. I will revisit the older quests to make elevation a part of them too. Also the amount of different maps for the generic quests are still limited but i plan to add more with time.
So what does elevation do? Well, first and foremost it affects how units can interact with each other. Skills now have a "Height Tolerance value". The height tolerance value indicates how height affects the skill. The left value tells you how big the height difference between the target and you can be at most, for the target to be selectable by the skill The right value plays a role for skills that affect multiple tiles. In this case the value tells you how big the height difference between the surrounding tiles and the selected tile can be at most for them to be also affected by the skill.
Another thing that elevation affects is hitchances. Character at higher elevation gain a bonus to hitchance of 10 for every tile higher than their opponent.
I will update the tutorial in the future to include this new mechanic
2. Holy vs. Darkness
With the inclusion of the witch update two new damage types have been introduced. Holy damage and Dark damage. Skills have been adjusted to account for these changes, and demons and undead now have lower resistance to holy damage.
3. Stances
Skills that can be toggled on and off for buffs have been introduced. Many of these skills will either drain SP over time or impose debuffs on other aspects. A few skills will be updated to utilize this new mechanic instead of providing flat bonuses.
4. Martial Arts Skill tree
The Monk Skill tree has been divided to create a new skill tree called "Martial Arts," available to both the monk and sword master classes.
Now what's next?
First I will concentrate on fixing any bug that will pop up for this update and I expect a whole lot more. Then I will take some time to create a demo for the game. Afterwards I will also work on adding some minor contents I had in mind for this update but didn't make it. And then finally, I will start working on the final update: the Emperor Update.
Well that's all for this announcement. I wish you all a good day :)
Thank you all so much with the warm reception with the release! I've made a little patch to fix some issues, you can find the patch notes below.
Version 1.0.3 Patch Notes
Some players reported crashing on obtaining a certain combination of shock upgrades. While I was unable to replicate the crash, I believe that I found the cause of the issue and have made a change that hopefully fixes it. If it still happens to you, please send a detailed recount of how your run went so that I can try to replicate and fix the issue!
When the game crashed, you would lose the save progress from your current session. This no longer happens as the game saves more often.
I'll be making more updates very soon, but this is it for version 1.0.3! If you're enjoying the game, I'd really appreciate it if you left a review as it's the best way to help us! Also, if you want to benefit from the launch discount, get the game as it will end soon! On top of that, you can get a further discount if you own our other game, Soul Stalker. If you own Wanted Shadows, you also get a discount on Soul Stalker!
On top of this, I recently uploaded a video on my YouTube channel about the full development of Wanted Shadows! If that interests you, watch it in the video below!
Anyways, that's it for this update, see you all soon :)
