Endless Mode

October was a big month for Reality Break, including lots of new players from the Roguelike Celebration (welcome to you all!). This of course means that the Demo has been updated with many improvements over the past month. They include QoL, performance, and balance improvements alongside dozens of bug fixes!

Here are the v0.14.9 patch notes, with links you can click on the bottom of each set to go to previous updates.

• New and improved content: Advanced enemy variants with uniquely threatening abilities, new Capital Ship Armor item from Colossus Reactor, redesigned Concentration pilot skill, overhauled Investigation side mission.
  
• Dozens of QoL improvements, such as a configurable AoE tractor beam for items, an expandable stash, locking items as Favorites, better Dissolve UX, and an Overlay mode for the Area Scan.
  
• Performance upgrades
  
• Balance tweaks
  
• And, as usual, dozens of bug fixes

Fix:
- A few typos
- The text "Let's start again." was hovering over the upgrade window
- Skin menu hides after clicking the button again
- Text in shadow enhancements was sticking out of the frame
- heavy boss attack dealt incorrect damage
- Monuments interaction button did not work
- Monuments displayed wrong bonus after shadow enhancements
- The heavy attack had a reduced chance to hit
- When clicking on an item, another + was added
- Opponents on "hard dung" were giving wrong rewards
- Kowalus' name was displayed incorrectly
- Pause menu did not work after sleeping
- It was not possible to close the store using the pause button
- The ore gained in "hard dungs" mode did not display correctly
- The player was sometimes rotated incorrectly during an expedition
- Monster book did not work properly after the first reset

Hotfix:

* Contains the above nightcrawler hotfix
* Wallpapers should still work
* Removes Nightcrawler tracks from the playlist when streamer mode is enabled

Hi again-

I hope you're doing well. I'm still working on the finale for act 1, specifically, on the options you can pursue to strengthen your chosen faction and weaken the enemy before the showdown starts.
The options available include purchasing equipment, recruitment, training, intelligence gathering, acts of sabotage and more. There's a lot of work involved – hopefully the effort will translate into a good game experience. Here's a couple of early screenshots of the... *ahem* re-education centre in Sunny Pines.





I'll check in again in another month, at which time I'd hope to be well through the pre-finale gameplay. In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments, do let me know :)

Hi everyone! What's new in this update?

New level: Military Warehouses - secure supplies for the colony and collect zombie mutagen samples.
Level modification: Outpost - added a preparation phase before waves, introduced new loot, and added a power generator mechanic.
Mechanic modification: Flashlight - now the beam of light follows your head and shines where you look.
Mechanic modification: Energy drink effect boosts stamina regeneration for a certain time instead of a one-time renewal.
Effect modification: Blood - new hit effects.
Added: Lootable crates.
Added: Radio.
Added: Pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns.
Added: Openable doors.
Added: Occlusion of sound effects.
Added: Food items that regenerate health.
... and many smaller fixes and mechanics that don't make sense to list individually.
