In response to popular demand, the Risk Map Design Competition is returning for a second season starting today! This is an event run by the RISK community Discord.
This event lets players unleash their creativity and design their ideal Risk map related to the theme for a chance at winning prizes. This season's finalists will be selected by guest judges from SMG, who have created the maps in Risk. Then it will be up to you to vote for the winners.
We're welcoming all skill levels and we'll be providing useful guides on how to make your map strategic, exciting and beautiful, so even complete beginners have somewhere to get started. To enter, simply post your design in │map-designs. We've also opened up a │design-chat to share ideas and discuss the event.

Bugfixes - Fixed a bug where you could get stuck in the cave after loading a save, these saves should be able to continue - Potential fix for Master volume not loading the correct value after a restart - Potential fix for microphone input selection not saving
Gameplay changes - Changed the feedback of the piano puzzle, it should be clearer now that it has been solved
Known issues - The proximity voice chat seems to not work for everyone - Speech recognition seems to not work for everyone - Some people still experience crashes, this might be fixed after a planned Unreal Engine 5.3 update - Flashlights can have a weird rotation sometimes, quick fix for now is to switch items that resets the rotation - Sometimes items can get stuck in your hip inventory without being in your inventory making it unusable - Character hair can get crazy due to hair physics - Imprecise collisions especially on the landscape
VR known issues - VR needs some general gameplay improvements - Some VR characters are missing abilities - VR tutorial does not include how to use the abilities

From October 28 to November 6, ghosts will be haunting various locations in Solitaire Expeditions. In particular, they seem to really like taking up residence in Expedition mode:
However, the general population is not enjoying their presence and would really like it if you could vanquish them by winning games of solitaire in the haunted states.
So that's the trick, where's the treat?
When you successfully clear states of their spiritual occupation, you will receive Halloween themed card backs, backgrounds, and decks that will be yours to keep forever (or at least until you delete your profile).

Yesterday, we rolled out an update featuring an enhanced onboarding experience designed to benefit both new and returning players. Upon further observation today, we identified a glitch in the revamped tutorial that specifically affects returning players. To ensure a seamless start for everyone, as initially intended, we are promptly implementing a fix.
