If you remember our announcement back in August, we've been looking for an artist for your next project. We're happy to announce that we finally found someone and we look forward to working with them!
Wishlist The Symbiant Re:Union on Steam
As usual, don't forget to wishlist the The Symbiant Re:Union on Steam! Wishlisting helps with the game's visibility and this way you won't miss its launch next year!
Did you know that The Symbiant and The Symbiant Re:Union both have an official Android version? The "family-friendly" version is on [CENSORED] while the "honest" version is on [CENSORED]. We are currently looking into making an iOS version as well.
Art - CG and backgrounds
We finally have all the backgrounds!!! This means we could finally finish the CGs as well, since, well, CG need a background too. Will that black mask help Danya sleep at night? You will find out in the Odaria story! :D
Voiceover
Irlana has finished cutting and processing all voice clips of the game! Now all there is left to do is insert them into the game. Voicover has already been inserted months ago into the Cayama story.
Programming
All of the Cayama story scenes are done, while 6 Odaria story scenes have been inserted into the game! We hope you will enjoy the Ameretat crew' interaction with their host, Chohra.
Some time has passed since our last post, so we are coming back to you with a bunch of new information about the progress of our work. Today we will discuss one of the most important Pirate Commander game perspectives called "Navigation View". An Navigation view is a view where you can observe the game from the isometric perspective. Thanks to that you are able to plan your next actions based on the surroundings, and explore the unknown parts of the world map!
In this view, your task as the captain would be to explore subsequent sectors (one example is shown below) of the world, where numerous dangers and treasures await you.
While exploring the world of Pirate Commander, you will look for hidden treasures or search through the old, forgotten shipwrecks. Searching for them will often turn out to be just a waste of time, but sometimes in their storage, you will discover forgotten cargo. Among the crates with moldy food and stale rum, you will find a mysterious artifact that you have been talking about to your mates! Becoming the owner of a such precious treasure is the key to making a fortune.
As Captain, you will navigate your beloved ship to the unknown to discover new lands. People there can offer rare goods and if you maintain good relations, they will be happy to trade with you. In port settlements, you can also count on recruiting new crew members, improving the ship, or taking on numerous quests. This quest will not be limited to escorting the ship or transporting cargo, but we will tell you more about this on another occasion.
The bravest and most persistent captains will even be able to sail to mysterious northern lands. The severe weather conditions in these lands, low temperatures, and treacherous icebergs effectively deter others, but not you! If you prepare properly, you will have the chance to be one of the first explorers of these lands, meet their mysterious inhabitants, and mark new sea routes!
So, that is all we have prepared for you today! We hope you like this short introduction to exploration in Pirate Commander. Remember, this is only the beginning. We'll talk more about the game and its mechanics in the coming weeks!
