The Halloween season offers a chance to see the Monastery in a new light... and by night! Dive into the lore of Rooted, taking you back 20 years when everything changed, leading to humanity's disappearance. We are seizing this event to introduce new features.
The Halloween Event
Event Dates: From October 28, 01:00 am CEST to November 10, 2023, 11:59 pm CEST.
Event Purpose: Owing to the Halloween event, play between life and death with a high enough infection rate to see traces of a ghost guiding you to the most notable and useful places, and discover the ghostly scenes of the past. Make proper use of all remnants from the past, including the injectors and... pumpkins! They will greatly assist you!
Exclusive Halloween items: it's now or never! We have specially created Halloween items for the occasion that you will find in-game in chests you'll need to discover. Only one chest per game session, and everyone can loot it if you're playing with others. No pressure!
The items obtained are permanently tied to your account.
Game Update Features
The emote system
Interact with players using the new emote pie menu. Enjoy the initial emotes! Not all of them will stay, and new ones will be arriving soon.
The infection
Tackle the deadly bacterium from two decades ago. Plants spread this infection, and other players can infect you!
The health system
Monitor your health closely. Eat and drink to stay fit, and keep your infection rate in check!
The equipment system
Gear up with items from the Rooted world.
We've also addressed many bugs from your reports. Please continue reporting any issues through our in-game system. Your feedback is invaluable!
Halloween Special Items Information
Availability: These items are up for grabs only during the event, ending on November 10th. Miss out now, and you'll miss out forever!
Permanence & Exclusivity: Once secured, these items are yours through every stage of the game. However, they are non-transferable.
Looting Mechanism: One chest per session, lootable by all, ensures every player gets a unique item.
Alpha Invitations Details
Limitations: One Alpha invite per player. Not all will get one. Redemption Process: Scored an invite? Head to our website, log in, go to 'Rewards', and send the invite to a friend. Scope: This invite is for the Alpha only. It excludes other game stages and pledge rewards.

Today, we released version 1.2, which includes the highly requested Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud Saves, and a few other Updates/Bug Fixes that will improve your gameplay experience! Here’s the in-depth list detailing everything that has been fixed/updated:
Notable Updates:
Steam Achievements: 28 Steam Achievements have been added! All achievements were based on the in-game Records Menu. Note: You don't have to replay the game! Simply load your save file and the achievements will be granted based on your game completion progress!
Cloud Saves: Steam Cloud Saves have been implemented! Now you'll be able to switch between different devices (Steam Deck, Laptop, Desktop, etc) and pick up right where you last saved! Important: Please make sure to launch LunarLux on your primary device FIRST, save the game, and then exit the game in order to properly sync your save files to Steam Cloud!
Button Prompts: Due to several reports regarding issues with automatic controller detection, we decided it would be best to shift to a manual options setting. Simply go to the options menu and set which button prompts you'd like the game to display! (Keyboard, XBOX, PS4). This will ensure you will always see the button prompts that you want to see, regardless of how many controllers are connected :D
Battle System Updates:
You can now apply Damage/Power modifying Support Skills to Cheesecake Bomb! Please enjoy the new damage buff possibilities thanks to this delicious update, heh.
If you have the Tactics Upgrade Chip equipped, the following Support Skills can now stack their damage (x2 DMG) if you select them twice during Support Skill Selection: Lunex Force, Saber Plus, Buster Plus, Tetra Burst, and Dragon's Call.
Note: As of v1.2, the following Support Skills do not stack their effects when selected twice: Reflex, Crossfire, Wild Card, Invisible, Voltage Gate, Pyro Gate, and Ancient Venom.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where if you obtained the Nexus Boy and completed the Nexus Network bonus stage, you would not be able to trigger the secret James King Network Dive event. Now if you're thinking, WAIT WHAT?! THERE'S A SECRET NETWORK DIVE EVENT?! Yes! Here's a hint: Check the Lunex Space Station BBS 👀
Fixed a bug where your last Ki-Barrage attack wouldn't damage the enemy if the timer runs out before the projectile hits the enemy.
Fixed a minor bug for the Merchant in Kepler Ranch, where the shop menu didn't display the number of Super Ener-G you owned correctly.
Fixed various spelling or grammar errors in the dialogue.

*Minor Update v1.4.0.4* - Further optimizations for faster campaign turns and AI shipbuilding processes. - Fixed remaining issues for Campaign AI so that it has enough designs to build ships and not only subs. - Improved the submarine logic so now they can generate missions vs transports more often with proper results of sinking them. - Transport losses affect more the transport capacity (each loss reduces more percentage). - Ships in sea now train about +15% faster. This is not only more logical but also more rewarding for taking your fleets out at sea, aiding also the AI which usually has very active task forces. - Fixed ship flags becoming transparent according to camera view angle, especially during bad weather. - Improved Campaign AI on how it groups task forces to attack or defend regions. - Improved land army distribution logic. - Fixed some bordering connection issues in Sudan, South Sudan and Manjuria regions. - Various minor fixes.

Hey folks, Covid is outstaying its welcome, and living rent free in my lungs. But two can play at that game. Wait. No. That's not true. Damnit. Oh well, back to coughing, I guess.
This is a big one. I plan on this being the FINAL EXPERIMENTAL BRANCH before I fold it into the Stable Build and we start the cycle again.
This one comes with a 'Photosensitivity' mode which reduces all those issues. Hope it helps.
This build also comes with a big change under the hood regarding how I handle framerate. PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE GAME IS JERKIER, OR ANIMATION SPEEDS GET WEIRD!
And finally, I'm slowly moving to a new save system which simply records the changes on levels rather than whole levels. You should note that bookshelves, chests and the like now stay open/looted between builds. It won't affect everything you've altered so far, but will affect all new things you interact with.

Happy Friday, We've just pushed a new update which will make loading time faster and run a bit smoother. We've also adjusted the default POV in VR to have a tilt towards the action which makes for a more comfortable viewing experience. We are still working on farther optimizing load time and performance optimization that will be ready in about a month. Enjoy.
