We hope you’ve been having a magical experience in Affogato. As you journey through Arorua City, you’ll soon discover that it's not just your wits and decisions in the café that matter, but also on the mystical battlefield as you delve deeper into the minds of your customers. Here, your Witch cards aren't merely tools; they are your comrades in arms, ready to battle against inner demons. In this article, we’ll be taking you on a Witch Card tour as we showcase some of them, their abilities and how you can acquire them!
The Moon
First off, we have The Moon, a Witch card that draws strength as the tides of battle change. Each time an ally falls or is summoned back, it empowers The Moon with random buffs such as HP regeneration, ATK increase, or a Penta charge. This unpredictable advantage keeps your strategies flexible and your opponents guessing. You can acquire The Moon card from Mephista’s shop.
The Lovers
Next, meet The Lovers. United in adversity, this card is your sword and shield, reflecting damage dealt to them back to the enemy and ensuring that every confrontation is a double-edged clash. In addition, when fully charged, you’ll receive a The Lovers: Stealth card in your inventory which when cast, will bring your team into Stealth state for those decisive, blindsided strikes! You’ll acquire The Lovers card after defeating the Chapter 3 boss.
Judgment
Behold Judgment, the luminous avenger. Unlike other Witch card, Judgment does not charge energy through its attacks. Instead, its luminous strikes imprint a Mark of Judgment on enemies. When you stack a total of 3 marks, witness a spectacular explosion of energy, dealing massive damage to the marked enemies. You can acquire the Judgment card from Mephista’s card shop.
The Empress
The Empress is a Witch card that wields a charm like a blade, where each successful strike will provide you with a charge. When fully charged, The Empress: Charm card will be bestowed upon you, adding an edge of seduction and control to your tactical arsenal. You’ll acquire the Empress card after finishing Lindsay’s side story.
The Sun
And finally, introducing The Sun, a formidable Witch card that has one of the highest Penta summoning costs in the game. However, its unique prowess lies in a dynamic deployment cost, reducing each time with an ally’s sacrifice or strategic withdrawal. But wait - its brilliance doesn't end there! Upon its defeat or withdrawal from the battlefield, it triggers a radiant blast in the surrounding areas, leaving devastation in its wake! The Sun will be available for purchase from Mephista’s card shop after reaching a certain point in the story.
We hope that this Witch card tour has provided you with a glimpse of the distinct power that each card possesses! With over 20 unique Witch cards for you to collect and countless ways to build your very own deck, each battle invites you to an intricate dance of strategy and decision-making. Will you employ The Sun's explosive tendencies, or will you use The Empress' charm to sway the tide of battles?

I bet you’re pretty curious about the place you ended up at in the first place. And to tell you the truth, so am I, for it’s a pretty weird place even by the Inferno standards.
See, the Freaked Fleapit hasn’t always been a fleapit. Once upon a time, this grand Theater was an integral part of Hell's entire infrastructure, it served to teach demons and imps alike the most efficient methods to extract high quality sin from the souls of sinners.
And I have to admit, the Lord of Hell that conceived this place, that old rascal, has cracked the code — familiarizing demons with the world of people, their culture and everyday life, to stealthily penetrate the earth and provoke them to do sinful deeds has never been easier!
If I told you that underneath the ruthless facade, this Lord was hiding such a sentimental side, you’d probably have a hard time believing he’s a real demon lord. He didn’t have to personally give lectures on human culture and movies in his spare time, but he did. He didn’t have to warm up to his crew, but he did!
He didn’t have to keep this place alive after it was shut down by the higher-ups… But he did.
Ah! And now we’re back in the present time – The Demon Education Program has moved forward, but the Freaked Fleapit still stands. Right now, it’s just a place where Demons, Angels and Reapers can coexist in peace. A bit rusty, a bit worn down, but not without its own charms.
Do I need to mention that all the film from the past is still there?
In my opinion there’s no better place in all Inferno, as long as you can tolerate the antics of the Fleapit’s inhabitants, that is. 👀
Theeeeeee eeeeeeeeend. Or is it?
Doesn’t matter, any more info and we’ll be sent to the Circle of Spoilers instead, and trust me, kiddo, you don’t want to end up there. So we’ll wrap our little tour right here.
Next time, let's meet at the entrance of the Circle of Gluttony! Get your best dress on, kid, it’s going to be the feast of a lifetime!
The Eerie Items DLC is out today! That means that you can now buy some extra Halloweeny items, including a new pumpkin house, candle decor, and a big gross tongue-shaped rug, PLUS everyone will also discover a few new (FREE) spooky decor items added to their game, but guess what?
THAT'S NOT EVEN EVERYTHING WE'VE ADDED TO THE GAME. You love patch notes, right? Get ready for the best patch notes yet...
We solved deforestation, you guys. Ofelia and Gaiana will now sell replantable trees
We solved... de...rock...estation? Yeah, they also sell rocks
Also grass. You can buy grass. No, not that kind of grass, you miscreants, the normal kind
Decorative trees will now have a planter at their base so you don't get em mixed up with real trees
You can now give an NPC a gift on their birthday, even if you've given them two gifts that week, because everyone likes birthday presents. Relatedly, it's my birthday tomorrow
No such thing as a free... hand? Not any more. Spectral Hand+ now costs 0 to play
Zed is sorry that his Spirit Taming quest was too hard. You can now tame a Spirit of any level to complete this quest, instead of level 5 or higher
If you're the kind of person who steals all the chests from dungeons, good news: Boss chests now stay looking fancy
Stone walls will no longer interfere with your garden! You should now be able to dig and plant next to them, no problems
Accessibility win: there's a "reduce flicker" setting which will turn off flashing objects such as being struck by lightning and resources being hit by tools!
(One) Peace of mind: Treasure maps now clear properly, and are marked as complete properly too
Rowan no longer wants the impossible gift of "Balloon". You can't have that, Rowan! You don't have the permits and you would almost definitely die
Oh, you thought the greenhouse was already big enough? TOUGH LUCK, IT'S GONNA GET EVEN BIGGER. Gaiana and Ofelia will now let you buy an inadvisably large greenhouse for all your plant-growing desires
Also, Paolo apparently wasn't selling, like, most of the furniture we made. Rude. We had a word, and now Paolo will sell LOADS of new furniture in their shop
Don't worry, we'll all scroll on alright: The scrollbar now works properly!
If your achievements weren't working, that should be fixed now too!
We learned to count (it took a while) so now Lightning+ says that it hits 3 times instead of 4 times
Spirits that were previously only found in mines will now hatch from eggs. I guess that means they're now yours. Instead of mines. Ha ha ha ha ha
Tired of having a gigantic, unsafe, unsightly pit in front of your house? GUESS WHAT!!!! You can now close mines!!!!! Say goodbye to that OSHA violation forever!!!!!!!
Actually let's not alert OSHA just yet, because we made the Furnace easier to start on controllers. Just press the Start button to begin the smelting process! Safety is less important than efficiency, duh
Say a thank you prayer to the god of inventory management, because stacks can now be transferred in one click
Time, mystical time: You can now adjust the day length in the gameplay settings. All those memes about "having the same number of hours as Beyonce" can finally be true
Once you've unlocked a Spirit and let it go, it will start appearing in the wild. This means that egg-only Spirits can be released into the world to repopulate and spread and... is this a bad idea? Are we disrupting the ecosystem? Hmm. Don't worry about it
Earth, Water, and Poison islands can now be found on the outermost ring of islands, which means BEEFY BOIS can be found that aren't just Dark and Fire type
Did you make a bad choice? It's okay, we've all been there. You can't change mistakes in real life, but you can change them in Moonstone Island with our new handy-dandy Skill Reset Potion! (disclaimer: do not try Skill Reset Potion in real life)
One more thing: As a thank you (a spooooky thank you) to all of you, we've added a new home exterior for free, available to all players. It's called the Haunted House, and you can find it in the Moonstone Enchanter!
NO WAIT ONE MORE THING
NEW
SPIRITS
I'm going to keep their names secret for now, so you can enjoy the surprise when you find them in game, but I love them. I love them all so much.
This is our biggest patch yet – maybe not in terms of the number of changes, but definitely in terms of quality-of-life additions. We really, really hope it makes the game even better for you, and that you love all the new Spirits as much as we do.
Thank you again, and always, for your support, and HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEEN!
~ Kate, Community Manager, and by the way it's my birthday this weekend 🥳
A new major update is live now and your commandos’ nightmare has just begun! New aliens are joining the horde and are going to make them wish they never stepped foot on this cursed planet M8322.
This major update to celebrate Halloween comes with a new weapon, the flamethrower, and new enemies: Reaper Mother, her Leech eggs and hatchling Leeches, Organ Shepherd and Greater Shadow Envoy. This new content will be added permanently to the game.
New aliens
Reaper Mother: This entity surpasses its Reaper kin. Its size and its strength set it apart along with its ability to lay Leech eggs once per turn. This ability forces you to redirect your focus on it if you do not want to be overwhelmed, adding a new layer of complexity to the fight.
Leech egg: They do not appear on the battlefield by default. They are laid only once per turn, when a Reaper Mother engages the player. Provoking a Leech egg requires inflicting damage on it, as proximity alone won't trigger its emergence. You must proceed carefully, as these eggs will inevitably hatch on the third turn after being laid, unleashing high HP Leeches, but with little to no armor.
Leech: These feisty creatures are not on the map, but appear from eggs. They exhibit traits similar to Skitters, but distinguish themselves with exceptionally high life-stealing capabilities. Their attacks deliver a double whammy of paralysis (tranquilization) and extra bleeding, making them dangerous foes that demand precision and resourcefulness to defeat. This new breed of enemy intensifies the encounter with their Reaper Mother.
Organ Shepherd: This gruesome fleshy monster is the aliens' attempt to mimic humanoid physiology. Agile and capable of paralyzing and bleeding attacks, this creature's tactics vary depending on the situation. It may target a single victim when in melee range or strike a group of targets within the proximity of two grids. In addition to its deadly melee capabilities, it wields a spit attack similar to the Alpha Wormpig's, afflicting paralysis and bleeding effects. The Organ Shepherd stands as a tough adversary, being completely impervious to tranquilization, forcing you to adapt and find alternative ways to deal with it.
Greater Shadow Envoy: This terrifying foe meets all the criteria of an apex predator. It outshines all previous enemies you have met so far in terms of power. Its area-of-effect melee attack is so potent that it can ignite Shadow fires on the grids it impacts, further complicating your survival plan and escape. With high fire resistance, this menace will make you despair and hope for a quick death.
New weapon and hydrazine mechanics
The challenges posed by these new threats call for new ways to exploit the battleground. Hydrazine is also available in squad management and found during missions. It can now be spilled on adjacent grids that do not have ground effects like radiation pools or fire. Even on an enemy grid if the situation permits! Spilling Hydrazine consumes both 1 ammo stack and 8 Action Points (the cost scales with Field Expertise skills). Spilled Hydrazine pool causes explosions if lit on fire. It deals damage ranging from 50 to 100, with an additional 200 fire damage and Armor Penetration of 20. This explosion also has a 50% chance of affecting adjacent targets, creating opportunities for you to turn the tide in their favor.
To combat these new threats, you can now wield the infamous flamethrower! This heavy weapon utilizes Hydrazine as ammunition. This weapon offers two powerful attack modes. The first, "Line Ignite", enables you to unleash flames in a line spanning five grids, making it a critical choice when dealing with multiple targets. However, it's essential to note that this attack mode doesn't work in areas with no atmosphere (in the case of hull breaches). The second attack mode, "Disperse", allows you to spray Hydrazine on the ground, creating a 3x3 area of upcoming fiery chaos. Due to the inherent nature of these attacks, neither can be utilized in Defense Mode, you must use this weapon carefully.
