The Robots and Guardians DLC is coming to Stranded: Alien Dawn on 7 November, and we can't wait for you all to play it. This DLC adds a brand-new scenario to the game, plus new items, robotic defences, new recipes, and two new characters: the android Hope 9000, the heart and soul of the new scenario, and new survivor Henry Caldwell.
In this deep dive we'll be taking a closer look at what you can expect from the new Guardians scenario.
Let's get started:
Guardians Scenario
In the new Guardians scenario you'll be managing a group of 3 rebels who have recently liberated Hope 9000, the galaxy's first sentient android. Now on the run from the manufacturing consortium that created Hope 9000, the rebels have are forced to take refuge on an uncharted planet to regroup and must now find a way to safeguard the essence of humanity that exists within her.
The rebels have to battle the elements and hostile forces while Hope expands her skills and sentience. The manufacturing consortium will be sending non-sentient robots, combat drones, and mobile turrets to destroy both the rebels and Hope, but luckily the rebels can repurpose the robotic enemies and build robots of their own.
Your group will be on its own at first so choose your starting 3 rebels wisely. Hope can carry out tasks, but you can also have your rebels construct service robots to deal with cooking meals, harvesting resources and more. There's luckily the potential for provisions and help! Your rebels can build a Trading Pod and use it to trade with passing ship, or even find ways to recruit new survivors.
Your main goal for the scenario is to survive long enough for Hope to develop full sentience and attain an Intellect skill level of 10. Conversely, if she sustains irreparable damage, the scenario will result in defeat.
Best of luck, survivors!
Hope 9000
As mentioned, Hope 9000 is the galaxy's first sentient android and a massive scientific breakthrough for the people who created her. She shares similarities with both humans and robots, while also being distinctly different from both.
In the beginning of the Guardians scenario, Hope will be a blank slate. She will share some basic skills with her human companions, but with limited proficiency. She'll be restricted to performing physical activities like harvesting and hauling resources, and Intellect tasks like Research and Observation.
As she accumulates experience and engages with the other characters, she'll progressively unlock new skills and acquire new traits. New traits include things like increased experience, faster movement speed, or increased manipulation efficiency, to name a few. She can even participate in combat if you decide to open up that particular skill. Any damage taken will require the use of Spare Parts to fix her up.
Being a robotic lifeform, Hope 9000 initially won't need sleep sleep, but she does requires energy substances called SilicaEnergel. She can also consume raw Silicon and Liquid Fuel, which come with negative side effects. If you find Energy Crystals we recommend you harvest and store as many as possible, as those are her favourite! Much like her human companions, Hope has a Happiness meter that can be affected by boredom and recreational activities. She'll even have favourite consumables and activities!
Robotic Enemies and Defences
Unique to the Guardians scenario are new robotic enemies. As mentioned previously, the manufacturing consortium is sending everything they have to destroy Hope and the Rebels. Starting off, you'll be facing down combat robots armed with both ranged and melee weapons. Eventually, you'll also be facing down flying Battle Drones and Mobile Turrets. Luckily, the rebels can repurpose these technological marvels for defence.
Your Battle Bots will work the same as any human survivor in combat. You can also leave them as stationary guards focused solely on defence. If you do they will attack any threats that come within range.
Flying Battle Drones are exactly what it says on the tin: When deployed against you they will attack from the air. As defensive forces they'll remain at their respective drone stations until a threat is detected. Then they'll take to the air to engage with both ground and aerial targets. They'll be a fantastic defensive measure against flying enemies, so make sure you have a few backing up your rebels.
Last, but definitely not least, are the Mobile Turrets. These are literally machine gun and laser turrets on legs that can cause devastating damage to your base if you're not careful. They can be very effective siege machines when deployed as enemies, but also very effective defenders when on the rebels' side.
If you're keen to see how all of this works in action we have some exciting news! On 6 November at 15:30pm GMT, the community team will be joined by developers from Haemimont Games for a run-through of the new scenario, and the rest of the new update on Twitch and YouTube. We'll see you there!

Tavern Talk - A Cozy Visual Novel - GentleTommysTavern
We have some amazing news for all of you and you don't wanna miss that!
We are ready to announce our first collaboration for Tavern Talk. It fits the spooky season perfectly, because there is probably no better game we could do a cross-over with than Monster Roadtrip from Beautiful Glitch!
Not only did they support us in a lovely way with this quote in our "A Word From Our Friends" section in our campaign body: "A funny visual novel with lovely art, charming characters and magic drinks? Something tells us Tavern Talk is right up our alley!"
They also agreed to us doing a fun bit in Tavern Talk, where Scott and Polly pay a visit to the Wayfarer's Inn: On their road trip they accidentally travel through the Primordial Vortex and end up in our beloved tavern.
What stories will they tell? Well, there is only one way to find out - by playing Tavern Talk, of course.
Don't worry, this won't be a DLC but free for all to enjoy. It is a testimony of Indie Gaming love, so to speak.
But who is this mysterious character in the middle? It's Baya, the swamp witch! A new character you will get to know better in the upcoming days! Maybe she'll befriend Scott and Polly and they can go on a road trip together? It would be a monstrous Party!
100 Steps is an epic medieval fantasy roguelite tower-crawling game. Each playthrough is a unique adventure, offering you a limited arsenal of 100 actions to explore, battle, scavenge, shop from vendors, and more.
But, for those who dare to defy the game's basic rules, there are ways to surpass the 100-action limit.
Leaderboard
We've introduced a brand-new leaderboard system that automatically tracks your score. Now, you can put your skills to the test against fellow gamers.
Do you have what it takes to claim the top spot and dethrone the current champion, ENDORTH, the game's creator?
For two weeks now we have been conquering the skies in the “Sky Raiders” update, and such an important mechanic as flight has certainly caused questions and raised different opinions. Many of you suggested your options for its improvement: both in our social media and through the game suggestions form.
Today we would like to present the design, adjusted according to your feedback and experience from the first weeks of mass flights!
Changes have been made to the physics of movement and control of the armored vehicle. Their goal is to increase the dynamics of air fights and make those more intuitive and comfortable.
A more detailed description is as follows:
Now, at small angles of inclination along the pitch axis, the armored vehicle can fly without gaining altitude. This will allow armored vehicles to more easily approach the enemy while simultaneously firing
Limited roll to the left/right (A/D keys) no longer leads to loss of altitude at small angles of inclination along the pitch axis. This will make it easier to control altitude during aerial combat
Acceleration is now less dependent on pitch angle and is stronger at low pitch angles. This increases maneuverability, allows you to change direction faster and reduces the influence of inertia
The vertical braking force has been increased, which should provide greater control of movement
Improved overall stability of the armored aircraft
After testing the changes, we invite you to leave your constructive feedback on the planned rework in the comments to this news. Additionally, a survey will be launched on the main server upon the test's conclusion.
How to get to the test server?
If you have already participated in testing on a special server, then it will be enough to start the Launcher from the folder with the test client and wait for the update to complete.
Create a new folder for the game on your hard drive.
Download the Launcher from this link. The file name should not contain numbers indicating that the file is a duplicate. Please note that you should launch the file that does not contain any digits (1), (2), etc. in its name. If, when starting the installed launcher, you get to the live game servers, you need to delete all downloaded launchers from the download folder and try again.
Start the Launcher and install the game to the folder you created (for example: D:\Public test\Crossout).
After the installation is complete, start the Launcher and enter the game with your username and password.
The whole progress of your main account will be transferred to the main server (including parts in storage and levels of reputation in factions).
After logging into the server, to transfer progress from your account, press the “Esc” key and select “Copy account data”.
Please note the schedule of the test server:
Friday, October 27, 2023 from 14:00 to 20:59 (GMT time)
Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 13:00 to 20:59 (GMT time)
Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 13:00 to 20:59 (GMT time)
Any progress you make on the test server will not be transferred to the live game servers (INCLUDING ATTEMPTS TO BUY PACKS).
The public test server is intended only for testing of the upcoming update, and may not accommodate all players without exception. However, absolutely anyone can join the server, as long as there are free spots. For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
