Farlight 84 Version 15.1 is a testament to our commitment to delivering a better battle royale experience. The update is bringing tons of game-changing new content, a more immersive hero shooter experience across the board, and a new anti-cheat tech that would help us address the biggest concern of our community. We listen and learn from our players, and we wish to create a better game for all of our fans.
▌New Hero: Maychelle
The city of Candelia once echoed with the sweet melodies of a young star. Meet Maychelle, no longer the puppet of the city, but its rising supporter. As a support hero, she features a brand new set of hero mechanics, like summoning a tower, that could completely change the landscape.
◇ Tactical skill - Bass Blaster She throws a device mine that adheres to a surface. It creates a damage-inflicting area of effect that is 3-dimensional. Best used in tight alleyways or bottleneck entrances.
◇ Ultimate skill - Ongoing Show She summons a tall tower that provides elevated shooting cover for allies. Useful in areas full of buildings, giving you an extra height advantage. But the structure can be attacked by both allies and enemies.
◇ Passive skill - Rabbit Monitoring If she is discovered by an enemy within a certain range, she'll be alerted and will know the enemy's general direction. Alert is not shared with her squad.
▌New Weapon - Ancient Star
Created by Prism Technology, Ancient Star is a double-barreled shotgun that has the capability to one-shot full-health enemies. The new weapon will bring new tactics to the battlefield, especially for the flankers and close-range risk-takers.
◇ Ancient Star shoots two rounds in quick succession. The new weapon may be helpful for ambushing but you'll need to be very skillful.
▌New Vehicle - War Falcon
War Falcon is the first flying vehicle in Farlight 84, featuring a high-skill cap but fantastic in-air experience. This vehicle is the most difficult-to-balance one to date, and we've spent a lot of thoughts into the appearance and driving experience of it, going as far as to adjust fine camera movements. We hope you'll enjoy playing with this vehicle.
◇ War Falcon ascends and then glides, giving you unparalleled air mobility.
◇ Its weapon mode is available when the vehicle is ready, up in the air.
▌New Mechanic - High-Value Resource Area
The new high-value resource area will become a new competitive zone with extra-rewarding loots. We created this new area with the hopes that risk-lovers will not just focus on dropping into one area of the map (like the Carnivale), but instead have more options that are just as, if not more, rewarding.
◇ The area shows as a blue circle on the mini-map at the beginning of a match. ◇ If you're seeking an advantage, or that rare piece of gear, this is your go-to spot.
▌New Beta Game Mode - 16v16 Area Conflict
Area Conflict is a new 16v16 game mode in beta that emphasizes large scale collaboration and strategic area control. We created this mode as we've always loved the fun and chaos in Farlight 84, and how such a game mode will compliment our battle royale experience in a way that's enjoyable for players however they join a queue. Please note that this mode is still in beta, so map selection is limited and you may experience some glitches throughout a match. Please help by reporting them to us when you see one!
◇ The beta mode will be available in a select area in Sunset City. ◇ Your goal is to capture as much of the highlighted zone for as long as possible. For each second that you keep a captured zone, one point will be accrued to your team's score. Reach 2000 team points for victory.
▌New Battle Pass
BEATOPIA
◇ SSR Hero Skin: Ceanna "Acid Rocker"
◇ SSR Hero Skin Maychelle: "Violet Funkster"
◇ More SR skins, diamonds and coins for you to unlock!
▌Anti-Cheat
This is the most important concern of our community. Period. While we've been sharing Fair Play Reports weekly in the past few weeks, we know that's never enough. In our next update, we're introducing a new anti-cheat tech that will help us tackle this problem in the long term. A cheat-free Farlight 84 is not just an aspiration — It's a future we're actively crafting. ◇ Advanced Data Collection: Our new tech records an extensive range of data points during matches, providing us with sharper insights into player actions.
▌Hero Changes
In this hero update, we've enhanced utility and clarity across the board. Yong's 'Divulge' now disrupts enemy HUDs, while Momoi's 'Hoarder Drop' better suits squad needs. Ember and Lucinda gain visual markers for easier target identification. Watchman's shield adds new tactical depth by phasing through walls. MK.R's mobility is refined, and Ducksyde brings added fun with quirky effects. These changes are expected to bring more utility and fun to these heroes.
◇ Yong - Ultimate ability 'Divulge': Reveals enemies while debuffing them by removing parts of their HUD during the skill's duration. ◇ Momoi - Ultimate ability 'Hoarder Drop': Intelligently produces supplies based on your squad's equipment level, ensuring consistent squad benefits. ◇ Ember - Ultimate ability 'Vision Erosion': Heroes affected by her ultimate now display an icon of limited vision, making it easier to identify those affected. ◇ Lucinda - Ultimate ability 'Absolute Gravity': Highlights affected enemies with an outline, and Summons no longer interfere with shooting angles. ◇ Watchman - Tactical skill 'Bunkers Away': His shield can now phase through walls. ◇ MK.R - Refined parachuting mechanism and improved rocket trajectory. ◇ Ducksyde - Get ready for fun moves and quirky sound effects when he's bouncing around in his Wrecking Duckball form.
▌Weapon Changes
In this update, we've quickened bullet speed and fine-tuned Aim Assist for balance and fairness. Slower draw speeds add strategic depth, and Jetpack attachments offer exciting new visuals. We've simplified scope options and tweaked accessory benefits to avoid overpowering long-range combos. Select weapons got buffs or nerfs to diversify gameplay and elevate skill levels. The goal is a more balanced, skill-rewarding experience.
◇ All Weapons - Enhanced the bullet travel speed for all weapons, except Jupiter-6. - Optimized the algorithm for Aim Assist in target selection. - Reduced Aim Assist on controllers. - Reduced weapon draw speed. - Weapons now attach to your Jetpack.
◇ Accessories - Increased the aiming speed of Green-grade scopes. - Removed Level 5 scopes; the game will now only produce Green-grade scopes. - Reduced the reload speed bonus from stocks.
◇ Assault Rifle - Porcupine: Increased the bullet damage of Porcupine. - Mad Rat: Added a new accessory grip. - VSS: Reduced the spread of the VSS. - Jupiter-6: Reduced the bullet travel speed of Jupiter-6.
◇ SMG - MF18: Added a new accessory grip. - White Dwarf: Weakened the magazine expansion accessory for White Dwarf.
◇ Sniper Rifle - Stellar Wind: Increased the bullet damage of Stellar Wind.

Since many had issues understanding certain game mechanics, I added some tips and explanations at the beginning. Furthermore, as many requested, I've now incorporated controller support, at least in-game. The menu navigation doesn't yet work with a controller, but I'm working on it.
