Note updates have been put on hold but are now back to normal this was due to unseen real-life dramas which couldn't be avoided, there are many downsides to being a solo dev and this is one of them.

Testing has been limited so any bugs found in this patch will be fixed in hotfixes.

known issues
• There are currently some known issues with vehicles not always syncing correctly when being dismounted when moving, this seems to be related to chaos physics in Unreal Engine 5, to avoid this issue I would recommend stopping before exiting your vehicle for the time being.
• Local Server - Ground collision sometime doesn't load correctly causing players to fall into the ground under the map, this is an Unreal Engine bug with world partition which should be fixed in following engine updates.
• Local Server - Due to level streaming trees will respawn if a player loads in away from their base location.

Localization updates do take time so if there are any missing translations, please be aware these will be translated in future updates.

What's next ?

The results from the poll are very clear: the 1927 scenario about Communist Uprisings (Nanchang, Hunan, Guangdong...) is far ahead.

So this is what I am currently working on.



What I can already tell:

There will be many more Communist characters.

And may there will be several communist factions to reflect the fact that it was really difficult to coordinate any action between the provinces at that time.
If I choose that path, a communist player will need to make his junction with other groups to add their characters and troops to his own.

Hainan will be reworked to add districts so guerilla units there won't be cornered so easily.

I may add (or not) an uprising mode for Guangzhou.

The scenario will be long enough to support a 1927 sandbox version.

New quality of life features

Quick district actions
Some of you were tired of reading district policies texts, so I added quick actions for the districts, like the system used for the armies.

A new characters and ditricts management panel by provinces

You will be able to access it from a button on the left of the map or by clicking with the right mouse button on the China map.

With that new panel:

You will spot at a glance all characters present in the same Province.
You will follow more easily the progress of your policies.
This new management panel will make it easy to spot that Russian agent plotting assassinations against your characters.


That's enough Quality of Life improvements for the moment, I will now work on more content.

  • Fixed a bug where Lucas would appear in the apartment and kill you at the computer while his laser was active even if the door was locked.

  • Hopefully fixed a bug where players would get insta-killed from Lucas's laser without ever seeing the laser.

> INFORMATION

The Essentials plugin is no longer necessary to operate your server correctly. You can therefore delete the Essentials folder after recovering your server configurations.
You will now be able to completely configure your server via the Config folder located at the root of your server. You will find there in particular after the first launch of your server the following files:
  • server.json which allows you to configure the server core (display name, slots, whitelist, ...)
  • roleplay.json which allows you to configure the roleplay part of your server (starting money, maximum number of properties, ...)
  • carDealership.json which allows you to configure the car dealer (position, models and sales prices, etc.)
  • announcer.json which allows you to configure automatic announcements for your server
The announcement system has been redone and now allows you to configure several announcements. The time configured on an ad represents the duration between the broadcasts of the previous ad and the corresponding ad.

! If you already own a server, you will need to launch it for the first time after the update to generate the new configuration files then launch it again after having edited them so that the modifications are taken into account!

I listened to your feedback and fixed the most important issues.

  • Added popup message on how to buy units to make it more clear.
  • QOL: you can now right click on items to pick them up or towns to enter them, if they're within range.
  • Fixed an issue where worldmap tooltips would stay open after an item pickup.
  • Fixed quiet sound effects and other related sound issues.
  • Fixed rare bug where stationary guards would chase you.
  • Fixed bug where you could trigger a roaming monster at the start the game.
  • Many minor tweaks and fixes.
