Howdy folks!

Have an incremental Experimental Build for you folks this week. It's a little light because... well we've already done 3 other hotfix builds during the week, as we're trying to iterate on the competitive character as fast as possible.

Anywho, deets on the update and what we're up to in the devlog. (Does anyone actually read this summaries? I never actually know).

Additions:
  • Added New Platform Controller Detection: Quest 3 Controllers.
  • Added New Control Option: Controller Display Mode Override
Changes:
  • [TnH] Hold Wave Leader Sosigs are now only active one at a time, essentially as ‘raid bosses’
  • [TnH] Changed Scoring Rubric to Emphasize Kill Score & Kill Style Scoring a bit more
  • Sosig M79, Sosig RG6 and Sosig Frag Grenade explosions have been reduced in peak damage output to prevent them from commonly 1-hit killing the player.
  • Scalpel Drum Magazine changed to default to carrying 00 Buck instead of SWAG-12 to prevent it circumventing TNH ammo limitations
Changes To Tournament Toby:
  • Changed Hold 5 enemy sequencing to have Heavy Operators only for Squad Leaders, ensuring there is only ever one of them.
  • Tweaked Spawn Cadences for Holds 4 & 5
Fixes:
  • Fixed incorrect Metadata ids for Cryo Squilliders
  • Fixed metadata error for Wiener Squarrel
  • Fixed incorrect fired collision sound for some 84mm ammo
  • Fixed chamber proxy scaling that was causing clipping for RG6
  • Fixed Missing tags on Fal Tactical, P762, M1Shorty16
  • Fixed IPSICK spawning with extra picatinny sight
  • Fixed odd issues with Smoke Grenades
Known Issues:
  • Game crashes on close for many users (This is a SteamVR bug they need to fix)
  • Note that Virtual Desktop functions via the old Oculus PC SDK and cannot actually detect and pass through information about specific controller types. Thus people playing with Quest 3

The Front - Friendlymedic
Our development team is sparing no effort to improve the game based on your feedback and your suggestions. To that end, we have scheduled an update on 10/14 from 03:00-04:00 UTC. The servers will go live again when maintenance is complete. Sorry for all the inconvenience and the maintenance could be postponed if necessary. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Optimizations:
1. Optimized the tool for creating dedicated server (Thefrontmanager.exe), added default set up and remote port configuration parameters
2. Increased the height that will cause fall damage, and lowered the fall damage.
3. Optimized the Ping showing speed on server list.
4. Changed the level requirement on ‘Iron Bone’ talent from lvl.35 to lvl.28

Bugs Fixed:
1. Fixed work benches will not automatically craft in solo/online games.
2. Fixed Rocket Soldier and Grenadier will not attack players
3. Fixed the auto repair status for constructions will not update
4. Fixed the abnormal interface when upgrading your space time beacon
5. Fixed the abnormal interface when your squad member are putting materials at the beacon
6. Fixed the wrong animation of some man-powered constructions under high latency
7. Fixed the character are locked to interact-able constructions under high latency
8. Fixed some man-powered constructions will still work when there’s no player working on it
9. Fixed wrong power volume when the generator are connected to batteries
10. Fixed the wrong number of pages in the server list
11. Fixed the icon is not showing in the Account warehouse
12. Fixed the Rain Collector is not collecting water
13. Fixed the abnormal effects on the Pressure Pump
14. Fixed some mobs will stuck under certain terrain when you are collecting materials
15. Fixed the no loot problem when the enemy is above lvl.60
16. Fixed when the squad submitted resources, new members joining the squad will cause auto-repair material exceeds the limit.

XSOverlay - Xiexe
Changes
  • Added a setting to make battery widget always show details in Settings / Wrist / Battery Widget

  • Added a setting to make battery widget default to showing percentage details instead of time estimate in Settings / Wrist / Battery Widget

  • Clicking on the battery widget will now toggle between Time Estimate and battery percentage.

  • Battery time estimate now takes into account charging and will provide an estimated time left until fully charged.

  • If supported by the Windows installation, captures will no longer have a yellow border around them on the desktop.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a capture issue that may have caused hanging / freezing when managing desktops.

Breakwaters: Crystal Tides - Soaring Pixels Games
This update is a collection of a lot of improvements to memory and performance over the last month.
There are also some Quality of life updates and bug fixes.
An inventory filter option is now in the UI for player inventory and Crates.
Boats are much faster now that loading is faster when heading to new islands.

A fun side affect of the optimizations is the disc size of the game is now smaller than before.

-Setup a Inventory Item filter button for crates and player inventory.
-Boats have 50% more base speed.
-Updated cloud shaders.
-Lots of memory optimizations and improvements which will also help with perf on older machines
-Improved gamepad menu controls
-Fixed a bug in the grass rendering where after going to another island it could become offset and not always render.
-Improved texture quality (mipmap logic) for various UI images when running with lower texture memory settings.

-Misc language translation improvements and fixes
-Fixed game not holding to 30fps when set to vsync 30 in Settings
-Fixed a rendering bug where distant lods could render wrong or cause rendering issues.
-Fixed a mission menu bug where if a computer was too fast (over 200 fps), it wouldnt animate in the text correctly.
-Fixed screen space reflections on water so they show up correctly.
-Improved Vsync logic to make the main menu more responsive on lower end machines and to make loading a bit faster in some cases.
-Exit game logic improvements to try and improve the odd exit stall that can sometimes happen.
-Fixed FireFlower not always exploding correctly after switching worlds and a specific combo of damaging fire flower plants.

This updates involves a lot! So get ready.

Level updates
Several updates received complete overhauls, increasing their size, and overall look at feel. For now lets just look at specific additions.
  • The only two levels that remain the same are Fields of Fate, and the train level.
  • Waterfall now includes a periodic waterfall in the middle of the level that pushes you down
  • Tree tops now includes obscuring leaves periodically.

Items
There is no longer the ability to pick items on character select. Instead....
  • You can no longer hold 3 items.
  • Items now spawn randomly in a level, in chests.
  • Chests appear randomly, at random locations
  • You can only hold 1 item, which is the most recent item you pick up from a chest

Character Select
  • The character select has essentially been entirely refactored behind the scenes.
  • This should fix all previous bugs in the character select screen.
  • You no longer select items in the character select screen (see above)

Flow
The one thing to mention here is that the game no longer ends after a single round, instead, because of how fast game flow should be after the most recent updates, we instead decided to make it more of a round based system. So now it's a first to 5, instead of a one n' done.

Crash Fixes

Online Lobby
  • Fixed crash that could occur when a disconnect from the lobby happened during a match.
General

Camera Shake
  • Reworked camera shake logic.
  • Camera now shakes when players are hit. Light, medium and heavy hits cause the camera to shake differently.
    - We’re keeping an eye on these values since they’re brand new - let us know what you think using https://fraymakers.com/feedback.
  • If you’d prefer the camera stay put, camera shake can still be disabled in the gameplay options menu.
Controllers

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed bug where analog triggers could stick in a pressed state if the trigger was released quickly (primarily prevalent in the SDL build).
  • Fixed bug that incorrectly caused a dash input if you held forward while in the air and through to landing.
  • Fixed bug that incorrectly caused a dash input if you held forward during an attack animation.
Gamecube / Mayflash
  • The grab input on Mayflash devices now defaults to just the Z button on newly created profiles.
  • The A and B buttons now properly default to the Attack and Special inputs respectively on newly created profiles.

That Free DLC we mentioned....

So a few days after the last announcement, the lead developer had a cardiac arrest and was in a coma for a bit.
Thankfully he pulled through and was back on his feet and back to health fairly rapidly.

As there are only 2 of us this took it's toll on developments, but things have still been ticking along.

Long story short, It's all done and we are in the testing stage.

As well as improved graphics there are a bunch of new features.

* Survival now has Medals to earn from reaching score targets.
* Missions now have Par times, beat these to earn more coin.
* Name and Save any number of missions and survival levels in the creator.
* Create custom Marathons and Arcades using your saved levels.
* The general economy of the game has been overhauled, you will now earn more coins and many
unlockables are cheaper.
* Survival and Arcade doors are open from the start now, not just the missions.
* 5 Arcades are available from the start with 5 more to unlock.
* Arcade progress saved, come back later to continue if you are struggling.

We also tracked down the mysterious not colliding with any enemies bug that happened very infrequently. Sorted.
